I have less of an issue with the workings of Embershot than with its existence. When used for auditions it creates a series of headaches for actors. For example: you can only download sides once, on one device, and they self destruct after a set amount of time or if you try to capture them. But an audition requires two sets of sides, one for the actor and one for the reader. Every time I have to download Embershot I look forward to deleting it again.
This is a frustrating garbage app that ruined an interview for me because I couldn’t get the file sent to me to open.
It took me at least a half hour just to open an account.
I’ll second the review that said Embershot is an absolute inconvenience to actors who are auditioning. We need to share the script with a reader. I’d rather sign an NDA than deal with the hurdles of Embershot. It is such a headache!
I’m trying to sign up to access my sides and it’s not working!!
I can't figure out how to actually write a script? This is bugging me because I really wanted to use Embershot. If anyone knows how to do this please explain. :(
I only have 20 pages of a script left and this piece of garbage app crashes constantly.
Do we need to create an account? Uh wondering I would like to use it looks good on the sample slides..
I know on some people’s reviews they say they are frustrated with Embershot because files expire and get revoked about screen captures, but that’s the point of Embershot. As a sender I love it. I feel safe knowing my documents are secure.
