New issue is not downloading

My app has suddenly stopped showing me the latest issue. Have tried contacting customer service and have not had any help with this. Just auto renewed my 3 month subscription and now not receiving latest issue.

No duh it's not free

All the reviews for basically all of the newsstand apps are one star, this is horrible for people who are actually looking for a review of GoodHousekeepingUK . Look, do you have to buy a magazine at a grocery store? Yes. So why would you expect to get them for free? Because you all are ignorant and speak before you think. These are apps to manage your issues of your magazines, much like the Marvel Comics app. GoodHousekeepingUK is free, but you have to pay for the issues. So just because you were able to afford an iPhone with the lowest data plan, no texts and the lowest minuets, doesn't mean you get everything else for free. People still need to make they're money. So please review if you have GoodHousekeepingUK and want to share your wisdom, don't just complain because you think Apple is trying to "scam" you.

"Think, McFly, THINK!"

GoodHousekeepingUK to have access to pay for the magazines, is free... They REALLY haven't fooled anyone. Even in other devices (i.e. Kindles, Nooks, iPads, smartphones, etc.) you need an app first to be able to have access to the magazines... THEN, you can choose which month or edition to get... Whether they are free or not... :D

Ridiculous

I never write reviews- ever- but this is just too ridiculous. One year thru the Newsstand app is $55?!?! To buy the PRINT edition for one year it is only $7.97 or 3 years for $20. Even worse- if you purchase through the Zinnio app instead for iPad, it is only $7.97 as well. They are clearly either trying to make a point with the prices in GoodHousekeepingUK or they are just trying to screw people by capitalizing on the popularity of the newsstand and the fact GoodHousekeepingUK is standard in iOS 5. Not sure which- but either is just absurd. I would have loved to add this magazine to my current subscriptions- but this business practice makes me think twice and realize I don't want them to have my business. Shame on you Good Housekeeping. Very sad.

Not as it seems

I just downloaded GoodHousekeepingUK (& another) despite ALL the bad reviews. Such a waste of time. You would think you would get to review Something in a magazine but No! Nothing! GoodHousekeepingUK gives you options to download monthly issues or buy 6 months, or yearly, etc.... You can't even read the highlights on the cover! I don't have a problem paying for something, but I would like to know what I'm giving my hard earned cash for before doing so. Give me SOMETHING to see. Until then, I'm taking my $$$ to the grocery store!

Really!?!?!?!?

Y'all just can't deal with the fact you have to come out of your pocket for a year subscription. Get over yourself and pay for the info. Folks ALWAYS want something FREE. Will u go into a store.... Grab a magazine off the rack then walk out NO. If you do then SOMEBODY going to JAIL! LMBO!

Disappearing magazines

I love the magazine and was excited to find that I could subscribe on my new iPhone. I can always find the first volume that my subscription gave me on my "bookshelf" but I also bought a back issue and it doesn't show on my bookshelf. It is a pain to have to go hunting through apps to find it. Is there a way to make this more user friendly?

Really bad!

I am having trouble downloading my purchased items. The fact that I cannot download the items I bought over a year which included d some very special editions is annoying to say the least. I have decided to delete GoodHousekeepingUK until it gets better. I paid good money for these special editions and I don't see why I have to suffer because I change my iPad. I suggest you find a way to rectify this. I have magazines that go back over 3 years and they are all special; so this do ant make any sense to me!

ICON REMOVAL

i did NOT ask for GoodHousekeepingUK ; it just appeared on my news stand...now i cannot remove it. if the guy who said we are all stupid reads this review, please tell us all how to delete GoodHousekeepingUK !
one reviewer is right; GoodHousekeepingUK IS free, but i constantly have an UPDATE REQUIRED !BIG RED NOTICE ON MY INITIAL PAGE!
if you read the "update", it says they are collecting "IMPORTANT INFO" from your phone!
i think some of the "producers" keep slipping in some 5 stars so their "AVERAGE FEEDBACK SCORE" will be higher to deceive people!
I AM GOING TO FIND A WAY TO REPORT THEM! they just made GoodHousekeepingUK appear on my shelf! I DO NOT EVEN LIKE THE MAGAZINE!!!!!

Don't say free if it isn't.

There are free magazines out there. Several newspapers are free. I can't understand how Apple allows these apps to be listed as free. You have to pay to read the content. The "free" app is a monthly reminder to "buy" your magazine. You should pay me for that advertising space. Get off my phone please. (If you would have just listed your monthly price, people wouldn't be giving you one star---it's false advertising.)

Not worth it

I feel like if I was able to possibly look at a page or two of the magazine and see what it's like on the iPhone, then I might be more inclined to purchase it. But given the fact that I can't even look at anything in any of the magazines and the prices are extremely ridiculous, I definitely will not be paying for it. Sorry but $5 is too much for an app, let alone a monthly magazine, and $55 for a year? HA come on now it's like $20 in print..

By

READ THE INFO!

Don't give this a one star because you failed to read the description. The magazine app is free - yes, but like other magazine subscriptions; YOU OBVIOUSLY have to pay! How will the writers in the magazine make money?

By

Of course the magazines not free.

You people are stupid and ignorant. Also if you can't manage to delete the magazine then youre doing it wrong.

By

No downloads for current print subscribers??

I've downloaded a few e-magazines for ones I get the print version of and so far all of them have a way of verifying I am print subscriber and therefore gave me the online issues automatically. I'm really surprised to NOT find this with good housekeeping magazine! Really?? Or is it so buried it can't be found?? I'm already paying for a print version. I shouldn't have to pay again.

By

Love it!

If you are an Anglophile you will love GOod Housekeeping UK. If you thought you were getting a magazine free, sorry but that is unlikely in any magazine app. The recipes are good and I love the ads, too with so many gift ideas!

By

All you people need to read first!

If you guys actually read before you install something like this you will know there is a subscription fee. It clearly states all the subscription option and no one promised a "Free" issue... That being said I gave it 1 star because $55 for a 12-month DIGITAL copy is a rip-off

Not what I was wanting

GoodHousekeepingUK is alright if it had good magazines in it but I purchased a year of good house keeping and all it is is a waste of money 1 year of nothing but India Good Hhouse Keeping all with ads and not any good articles to read very disappointed!!!! Don't waste time or money on this!!!!!

Don't install GoodHousekeepingUK because it won't let you delete it. I plan to write apple about this and I encourage others to do this as well. Feedback is good but we need to go a step further to get this issue resolved.

Save yourself a click

Obviously my definition of "free" differs from iTunes. Why would you advertise this as a Free issue when it's clearly not? And I 100% agree with the other reviewers that their subscription prices are laughable. Wonder how many other "free" offers work like this...

By

Tricky!

Wish they have a free issue that comes with app installation so at least I know what I would be getting before buying a $$ monthly subscription. Same as buying in the grocery store. You can browse for free and decide if you wanna buy and take it home.
