Downhill fast

I have been using FirstCommCreditUnion to manage my accounts going on 5 years now since i opened my account with FCCU. FirstCommCreditUnion went from pretty reliable and a stable way to check my accounts, to the most egregious headache to navigate and use i’ve ever been forced to use. Ever since it updated to the new design i’ve only been able to use FirstCommCreditUnion successfully maybe 3 times. It hasn’t been signing me in using face id or my password and just saying ‘try again’. It frequently crashes when i attempt to send money, switch between tabs, open FirstCommCreditUnion , or try to sign in. FirstCommCreditUnion went from a pretty decent convenience to an active drain on my mentality whenever i have to do anything with it. It is by far the most unstable app i have ever used and it’s turned into an active inconvenience i dread to have to use when i need to send money off to pay bills or even check my account. —-

Shortly after i wrote this review i went to double check FirstCommCreditUnion just in the off chance it miraculously started working. I can now no longer even sign in. Period. FirstCommCreditUnion loads the ‘Hello —— Welcome back!’ And a box that says ‘Try Again’ that when you click, does a swirl and literally nothing else. FirstCommCreditUnion is quite literally unusable for me anymore.

What the??

What in the world did you do to FirstCommCreditUnion? Prior to the UI update, it was totally functional. It did what it needed to, at the base level, which is all I need from my banking app. It was kinda ugly yes, but it worked and that is what mattered.
The UI update made it pretty yes, but it has destroyed the ability to even look at my accounts. When I logged in for the first time, it worked fine. The second time, it doesn’t show anything in my accounts. It errors out when I try to open another page. The THIRD time I logged in, it doesn’t do anything at all. It says “Accounts” with an “OK” button under it. Uh, no NOT OK, I can’t even use the application for its #1 use. Terrible, I hope the devs fix this quick, and I hope whatever project manager was in charge of this understands that it’s better to ship a functional product late than to ship a half-baked one at all.

Mobile deposit broken

Not reliable at all. Needs fixed.

Update not working

Have been trying to mobile deposit with update and it is not working. App runs extremely slow and is difficult to maneuver. What should have taken a few minutes has been a painstaking half hour and I haven’t accomplished anything. Please fix.

New Update is terrible

Prior to the rollout of the UI update last week everything worked fine. This new updated has now stunted the ability to login, stay logged in, and FirstCommCreditUnion itself won’t even register any credential information. Constantly met with the “there was an error try again later” this needs to be fixed or reverted entirely.

Previous Version Much Better

The most recent update took a perfectly simple-to-use and helpful app and turned it into a banking nightmare. Nothing works as it should and the layout isn’t as user friendly as it once was. Even when they get the bugs worked out, the new payout is inferior to the previous one and I hope they revert back.

Buggy Nightmare Since Update

First of all - First CCU and their banking support staff have been wonderful for the years I’ve used them for business and personal banking needs. I have zero complaints with that part of their business. Their app though - what a disaster. Please fire or outsource whoever is developing this thing. Went from functional (but ugly which I don’t care about) to barely functional and slightly more glamorous. Please fix this thing so the functions advertised in FirstCommCreditUnion actually work! Read the rest of these reviews! I need to be able to do mobile deposits, transfers, just log in even reliably!!

Terrible update

I don’t know what this bank was trying to accomplish with the recent app change, but they failed miserably. It is NOT user friendly, so many more steps to do simple tasks, like bill pay. If you are thinking about coming to this bank, I wouldn’t for sake of FirstCommCreditUnion. Find a bank that actually cares about your time. This is not it. Try again.

Can’t log in

We’re back to the old problems of trying to log in, app stating your user name or password is incorrect, even though it isn’t, which in turn locks you out of the website and you have to reset it all over again. App also needs landscape and dark mode views.

Money Transfer isn’t working

FirstCommCreditUnion worked beautifully before this new upgrade. The biometrics keeps saying I have to enable it every time I log in. I’m trying to do a personal transfer and it shuts off as soon as I get the fields typed in. I’m not very happy with this upgrade at all!!

Go back to old version

I’ve used FirstCommCreditUnion for year and ever since they updated it crashes. I can’t move money from one account to the other. I can’t transfer funds from my sons account to mine to pay for his bills. This has become a problem for us to pay things on time because I have to go another route now. Go back to the old version this one is terrible.

No longer works

New update - no longer can can deposit a check on my iPad. Device not recognized. I’m also getting error messages from my phone when trying to deposit a check.
Not a good deployment from a credit union

New update won’t allow me to mobile deposit.

Every time I try to use the mobile deposit it won’t let me deposit my checks, all it says is error. This needs to be fixed.

Cant login

FirstCommCreditUnion was working great for awhile, then just recently tried logging in and it says “invalid credentials” even though everything is correct. I even changed my password thinking i may have somehow forgotten it, this isn't the first time it’s happened either, eventually it fixed itself, but last night it happened again and still nothing, i have no way of controlling my money, FirstCommCreditUnion needs a major update because its the only thing i use to pay and manage my bills

But why???

The new update is not good…at all. It barely works half the time and I hate having to log in constantly. I miss FirstCommCreditUnion before the update when you just had the quick view page automatically without having to swipe right (considering the “secret” door thing doesn’t even work) like seriously why change something that wasn’t broken. Especially now that the new thing is actually broken in multiple ways…

Great Bank, Okay App

I love my local FCCU bank and FirstCommCreditUnion seems to work okay. However, it's been months and the mobile deposits platform never seems to work properly. I think the rest of FirstCommCreditUnion was a nice update and I understand that new systems take time to work out the kinks.

Easy Banking

First Community’s mobile app is easy to use to conduct banking. I love that I can do everything I can do in online banking in the mobile app. The check deposit function has improved greatly from the previous version.

A lot better now!

Much smoother and more feature rich! Huge improvement over the old app for sure
