For many years I have loved Crosswalk, even BEFORE the app so that should tell you something. In the past my prayer group and I have shared many devotionals and articles from the site. However, this site/app is no longer appealing to my spiritual life at all. I do not want constant political bashing, right wing rhetoric and anti minority agendas. When accessing a “Christian” based site/app, I am looking for my spiritual appetite to be fed, I would rather not have negativity in my daily reading. This site has become very disrespectful toward Christians that happen to be a minority and those that stand with us. If you want to really appeal to others, try reaching out in love, instead of shameful infuriating ads. I have deleted this app.

I just loaded the app on my iPad. It appears easy to use and search and I’ve created an account. But then the articles I wanted to read - 2 of the Editor’s favs - I only get the photo, first paragraph and a random ad. I thought maybe it was a paid subscription thing, but isn’t. I refreshed a couple times, I’ve closed, reopened the app a few times but same thing. This occurs with other articles too, not all , but many. So I’m done wasting time fussing and am unloading the app, I can read the entire article on the browser. Too bad too.

I downloaded this app to check my daily devotional but decided to check the headlines first. Once I read the "Violence in Ferguson" piece, I knew that crosswalk was not the right organization to support for me. When your coverage is CLEARLY coming from the vantage point of "this poor officer is 'under attack,'" as opposed to the pattern of mistreatment of African-Americans, you look like more of a tool of a conservative agenda then that of our Lord. App deleted.
