I have used TheAugustaChronicle to read the Chronicle for several years with no problems until the last two days when it has been completely non-functional - endless spinning and attempts to reload with no results. I have deleted and reinstalled TheAugustaChronicle and can log in but can’t get to the current (or any) issue. Calls to the paper have yielded no improvement ( looks like the USA Today takeover of the local paper have not improved the paper or app’s function). Please fix this issue so I can again try to read local news. Thank you.

TheAugustaChronicle was good when it was free. Within the past few days it went from free to membership required. Very disappointed. I will be switching to a diff newspaper for my local news!

I have been so looking forward to TheAugustaChronicle. As a busy newspaper subscriber, I wanted a way to read the paper away from home. TheAugustaChronicle is such a serious disappointment to me. Trying to read one article, it crashed six times on me. I finally just gave up. I'm so sad about it!

No longer free to use--you have to buy a membership. Besides the fact I don't want to submit identifying info that they can use/sell, TheAugustaChronicle is totally cluttered up with bright blinking obtrusive banner ads. If they're going to charge money to read the news, they need to ditch the ads and guarantee they aren't tracking you. I doubt they'd do that, so I'm deleting TheAugustaChronicle .

I have been an Augusta Chronicle print subscriber for many, many years & was upset when notified I had to pay extra for this on-line stuff because I figured I would NEVER use it. I am out of town & decided to try to use it AND CANNOT!!!!! Now I am REALLY UPSET THAT I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA EVERY MONTH FOR SOMETHING I CAN NOT ACCESS!!!!!!!!!!

December 2020 update puts a paywall on the iPhone version of TheAugustaChronicle that wasn’t there before. I didn’t use it much before. Looks like I’ll use it even less now. There are too many sources of free news to pay for the scant offerings that cannot be read elsewhere for free.

I got used to being able to “read the paper” on the old app. Really do not like this new setup at all.

With comparison to some of the other news apps that I have, this is by far the least helpful with local news. It's certainly lacking key iOS features like pull-down to update, top bar automatic scrolling to the top, & customizable bottom bar. I really don't enjoy seeing the obituaries tab at the bottom when I use this and I am waiting to change it when a new update of the key features becomes releases. It gets the job dine for the time being but you will certainly get a better experience elsewhere, if that is something you are looking for.

It will not let you read news without going to their website and signing up to pay for it. Typical chronicle tactic, Augusta residents mostly realize that our paper here is usually worthless. So much local news slips thru the cracks that you can't get a real picture of what's going. Due to owners having to much involvement with county commission.

Can’t begin to count number of times I have to sign in.
What happened to it remembering me? App on iPad says I have exceeded my limit. No resigning fixes that.

I read a dozen papers a day. Only the one in my home town does this. It never did until now, so FIX IT.

We have taken the paper everyday for years so we have digital access. So tired of having to sign in and be told that I’ve already used too much this month.

I don't understand why TheAugustaChronicle has such bad reviews. I think it is great. The only thing that I don't like is it is not easy to get to the Aiken daily deal.

I am a fan of daily newspapers and I have been seeing the Chronicle in my house most of my life. I love reading about local food, people and events. I always find almost every page is interesting.
