This app is terrible. It’s slow, it’s convoluted (entering payments and then hitting back goes to the main screen not back in the payment flow), it can’t do many of the things the website can do (cancel autopay, add new payee) and it’s very, very pushy about advertising products I can’t even sign up for. Why advertise new customer products on launch of the banking app? By definition the only reason I have this app is I’m already a customer. Dumb.
Unfortunately at the current moment the app won’t launch at all, and just shows me a video.
Maybe that’s better? Terrible app and indicative of the bank’s level of service and technology. Mediocre to say the least.

I had expected better from standard chartered. From the endless forced verification codes and upgrades, to not being able to find out how to even PAY the credit card bill from anywhere in the app (not even in the FAQ), you start to feel like they want to make it hard for people to pay off their cards. Come on guys, you can do better.

Poorly executed app, both in design and user experience. It is disappointing that they make it compulsory users permit notification by SC HK app or the app will not allow customers to log on. This shows the amount of respect Standard Chartered (or lack there of) has for their customers. Overall a cumbersome and exhausting customer experience, which is in line with any counter service in the branch.
