1) who decided to revamp something that worked well? 2) who made the decision to release an app that clearly is much worse than the previous version? Singapore has been plagued by IT solutions (remember the virtual reality app called Batik that rarely worked?) sponsored by the government that seem like no one beta tested them with actual users who possessed independence to speak critically. This is exactly what you would expect from a civil service that operates in an echo chamber. Moreover it creates a society that can even wrap their heads around true innovation let alone knows how to produce it. Please go back to the old version. Or please support the competing app from the weather service which recently stopped working but was pretty good.

No idea why NEA felt the need to overhaul an app instead of improving it. The simple classic design where you could see everything (Rain UV etc) in one neat row is gone. Replaced by a pretty but hard-to-navigate menu where you have to pull up to expand the details. GPS fail too. Insisted our current location is in Orchard and gave us weather for Central region when we are nowhere near there. Had to restart several times to recalibrate GPS. My mother also has myENV and the notification badge is permanently displaying "1 notification". Classic case of fixing something that ain't broke and a waste of resources. Superficial makeover with zero value added.

myENV tries to be fancy by including all NEA concerns in one app. It is no longer just a weather app. As such there is a lot of clutter that users are not interested in eg why would we use myENV to find the nearest hawker Center? Why would we also use it for zika and dengue info? Do we want that type of info on a daily or hourly basis? NEA- pls take all your very poor ratings seriously and do something about it. Move away from being NEA centric and pay heed to what your customers are saying. Putting all weather issues in one clear page is a start! Hope to see some changes soon.

I use myENV daily to see radar and wind before heading out. It was easy and useful. The upgrade lost the wind and hides the radar. I’m disappointed.

Seems like one of those cases where they made changes without talking to people who actually use myENV . We use the weather app for planning on outdoor activities and determining e..g when to change / end the activity. Current app is completely useless. For instance,
1. Can’t get rid of all the clutter so you can actually see the map. IDon’t need or want to see anything but the map and satellite image when I am trying to look at the map. On small phone, is truly useless.
2. Can’t do multiple overlays so you can see, e.g., lightning and storm movement together
3. Can’t see timing for storm movement / intervals
4. Period of satellite movement is too short to give accurate sense of storm development / direction.
4. Inability to get longer range pattern on longer time scale.
Etc.

The previous app allowed 2 hours of weather timeline for local and many hours of timeline in the regional view. Both now only provide 1 hour in myENV. These are important capabilities.

The screen also doesn’t have a refresh capability, often requiring myENV to be closed and reopened to refresh. There is also no “provide feedback” capability, instead just providing links to the various governmental authorities.

myENV is badly designed; the UX is mediocre, the functionality limited and you are deluged in data but struggle to determine relevant information. Hard to use and just an example of the “throw everything in the bucket and see what happens” school of design.

The old weather@SG app was significantly better and there is now a space in my app bar for a decent Singapore focused weather application - because this isn’t one.

I had been using this this app app for some years now and was quite a satisfied user until this version 3.0 came along. myENV crashes on start and falsely labelled both my iPhone 11 Pro & iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd Gen) as jailbroken. Even after deleting myENV and reinstalling, myENV would behave exactly the same way. This is really disappointing. Developer, please fix this. Thanks.

Been using myENV since day 1 and especially love the rain animation using satellite imagery. What would make it even better would be a widget for iOS and watch complication for watchOS.

Great app. Great initiative from NEA. Vast amount of information in myENV .

Would have given 5 stars if not for the lack of Apple Watch complication.

Can developer add that soon? It will be very useful for Apple Watch users

Good looking UI redesign. Appreciate the ability to choose which notifications are useful to me. Watch app would cool.

As many have said, myENV is such a huge step backwards that I am going to delete it and go to the website. For cyclists, the 2-hour nowcast by detailed locations is very important. That’s gone. Yes and too much clutter. What’s wrong with you people ?

The new app is more fancy but the widgets are so big you can’t see the map anymore. They’ve also removed functionality like wind direction and wind speed. Why?!

I really hate it. The user interface is complex. It’s supposed to be a weather app. All I need when I launch it is to show me the temperature and rain forecasts for the day. Allow me to swipe for the following days. That’s all.

Since this new version I can't even open myENV . Kept saying my iPhone and my iPad are jailbroken and then just shows a dark screen! 0 stars. Bring back the old version

After downloading App, for 10 minutes it looked like it has good info and was easy to navigate. But then up popped a notice from NEA about a new App coming in March. I can’t figure out how to get rid of this notice to return to the good stuff.

Please bring back the previous version -- the interface was much cleaner, and I could get all the info I was looking for quickly.

v3 is just a disorganized mess.

A retrograde step. Old app was significantly better. Not sure why this is presented as an upgrade. Also, we appear to be losing Met SG in mid May to make way for this poor app, which will be a huge loss.

The new UI looks refreshing but it broke the user experience. The rain animation now is harder to use and it’s not real time anymore. A complete u turn. Hey developer ... please fix this !!

It used to work, but now somehow myENV continually says there is no connection, even though other apps get data (both WiFi and via SIM card).

Notifications and location are allowed for myENV but it still says “no connection”

Even after deleting and reinstalling myENV *multiple* time, it still continually says “no connection”.

Frustrating and annoying

App has good potential, but strangely missing a few key features:
1. Need to add push notification alerts for wind speed above certain level at any of the locations provided)
2. Wind speed info is missing from the watch app!! (All other present)
3. Wind charts for last 24 hours missing from myENV . (Only available on website)

Please add above features and get a 5 star rating from me.

The Make Report -> photo upload (not camera) function does not work. Cancel button appears twice.

Why is this rated 17+. I want to block adult apps from kids but also want to use this. How annoying ! Don’t make me have to choose between.

I check myENV regularly for constant updates on dengue and haze.

Suggestions: it'll be great if app can give us a prediction of rain or haze in certain area at particular time to help us plan for our personal events. Example if I wanna go cycling at 4pm today, what is likely haze, rain, dengue situation in the area I wanna go. Just indicate chances.

Good job anyway. Beautiful and easy to use interface.

Although myENV has its bugs (as do all new apps and programs), I must applaud NEA for taking the initiative to make myENV. in an effort to keep everyone up to date effortlessly. myENV. has the right features and well thought out design and layout. Please continue to fix the bugs and enhance myENV . where possible. Once again, Thanks NEA. Kudos to the programmers from Dashsell.

So far the best weather forecast apps for Singapore.
Small issue though, the alert setting are not saved. Minor bug that I hope will be fixed in next version.

So much better than the PUB app with only 3 buttons. There's a problem with the back function on information though. You can't go back if u selected one of the lists and chose a different function.

myENV is well designed and is easy to use. I like the fact that all the key information is on the first page.

Excellent job on myENV ! Pls include overall map view of SG for 3hr forecast. Currently have to select location in list. Website has the overall 3hr view which is very useful. Thanks for great app.

Nice app with good features but missing lightning data. Would be good to have the snap a photo feature be more visible.

It's a very beautiful and very functional app. Goes to show that even a government department can commission a great app. This should be the gold standard!

Like the redesigned look and feel. However. Alerts are not working. Can't even set them up.
