Don’t Use this App or Security Company that does

WE DON’T RECOMMEND ISING iVMS4500lite, NOR A SECURITY COMPANY THAT USSES ONLY iVMS4500lite. iVMS4500lite is horrible!! And We don’t recommend a Security Company that uses iVMS4500lite. HIKVISION customer support is closed on the weekends, so o finally got customer service today Monday. I was out of State during the weekend and was advised by neighbors to look at our cameras. We also received a phone call from a police officer asking us to send footage. How bad did our security company look when HIKVISION app wasn’t working. So HIKVISION just told me that they were running an update all weekend, and In fact it will take about two more days to finish. I can’t believe HIKVISION would do that intense of an System update without advising their customers. And how stupid is it to do on the weekend when they have zero customer support available on the weekend. HIKVISION disrespected every customer on this weekend and several days still during g the week that uses their app. AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE.




When it Works...

iVMS4500lite is spotty at best. The developer can’t seem to keep it bug/glitch free to save their lives. As soon as iPhone software updates, iVMS4500lite is useless and it takes them a long time to catch up. I am glad my main receiver box records endlessly on a loop so I can review any questionable activity but when I want to watch my farm and the animals in a live feed, it never seems to work. Even logging out and back in and at worst, reinstalling iVMS4500lite never works. Honestly, it’s worked MAYBE 1/2 the time we have had it installed (3 years now). I also have the newest iPhone models that are always up to date. Currently running an iPhone XS Max on 12.1 software. The cameras are nice! But they really need to catch up with phone software and pushing it to peoples devises... we PAY for the live feeds!




Does the developer read these reviews? Do they even care?’

Zero stars! iVMS4500lite needs desperately and has needed an UPDATE for months! Constantly FREEZES on the iPhone during live and playback! Shuts down my phone for several minutes making it UNUSABLE!, then I have to go to the IVMS “Devices” in “Setting” click on my system and and “Start Live View” to reset cameras and bring them back!
Also, on the iPad. Can’t view all my 14 cams on live view on same page. Once you click on a camera it crashes! This has been happening since your last update LAST MARCH of 2019! My devices both have latest iOS 13.1.2 updates! Not my devices! Your buggy app. Read your reviews, give a cr** for the users and fix your bugs already. Geez!




Does not work Always - Very dissapointed

I have been using iVMS4500lite since last 8 months and had really bad experience, Most of the time, when I to login- enter my user name and password and hit on “ Start Live View”, it redirects to screen where we see video and then nothing happens, no video at all ( some times video does appear but most of the time video does not appear), when I go back and realize that I am no more login to my user id but in some other user id with name - 3dncib ( all the time) and even after logging out from this user id and re login to my uswr id, it does not work.

Hope this review will be read and some fix will be done to the application and the I will update my review and rating. Thanks




Good.... def could be better

Where I don't experience a lot of the issue that other complain about here my issue are more cosmetic! They amount of cameras you can view is 1-4-9, etc. I would wish and hope they maybe would bring in a option to either customize this number or at least go with the numbers that hikvision nvr/dvrs cover i.e. I have an 8 ch nvr, they don't sell a 9 ch as far as I know but it's an option! I know it is how it fits in the screen but cmon




So frustrating!

I installed surveillance system for my office and was told to down load iVMS4500lite. My #1 must have was to have motion detection. I've had issues with homeless ppl sleeping and leaving a mess at my building. I have a total of 8 video cameras. When I activate the motion detection, it sounds the alarm for every single little movement. Flying bugs, rain drops, fluttering leaves on trees, etc. I'll get 5 to 10 alarms a minute.... rendering the motion detection totally useless. Also the live stream function will randomly go blank so I have to reset each Video camera. Regret using iVMS4500lite. Will try to use another if I can change!




App works well

I use iVMS4500lite daily and have no issues to report. For free, it allows me basic functionality for monitoring and reviewing my cameras locally or through a remote cell connection. I wish I had full configuration control of the cameras. But for monitoring and playback on my iPad it works great and cannot concede to the negative reviews posted here, for again I use it multiple times daily for more than 2 years with no complaints.




Great app, need one for TV OS

With the implementation of support for the iPhone X iVMS4500lite lives up to the great quality and functionality of Hikvision cameras and NVRs. I believe this great functionality could be even further improved through the development of an Hilvision app in TV OS for Apple TV. This would allow customers to monitor cameras right on their TV without having to be directly connected to an NVR. Please make it happen Hik!




Works fine for me!

I have no problem works fine for me! A little confusing and unforgiving initially, but once you learn how to use it, it's fine. It completes its general purpose. To watch your cameras. A revamp of iVMS4500lite to make things more clear and accessible wouldn't hurt, but overall serves its purpose. People on here just like to complain about everything




Previous review flawed, by end-users lack of knowledge!

So obviously your alarm company is your problem! We have used Hikvision products for our customers for a few years now! It has the lowest failure rate of any video product I’ve ever used! Don’t be cheap buy yourself a static IP or a DDNS service! This is a great app for a great product we have installed thousands of the systems!




Good app

iVMS4500lite works great from a professional installers point of view. My advice is to make sure you hire a competent company to install your camera system and set up your remote viewing. Do your research and read reviews on the company you are considering before hiring them. If they provide good customer support they should have good reviews. iVMS4500lite works great.




No issues

Using iVMS4500lite on an iPad Pro 10.5” to connect to 7 cameras at a mine site. We have strong 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi so there are no issues. The ability to set the quality from clear (1080p, high bitrate) to fluid (480p, low bitrate) to something in-between (720p, med bitrate) is a nice touch. I have not experienced any crashes and iVMS4500lite seems solid in my environment.




Marginal at best.

I install a lot of Hik. I wish I didn’t. My go to System is Exacq and Atecont but it’s not in everyone’s budget.

iVMS4500lite has been glitchy fir years but getting better. My biggest complaint is you can’t save views on 4200 client that you can pull up in the 4500 app. Nor will it save a view after saving a favorite. It makes setting up the server a nightmare to give the customer the view they want. And with 32 ch machines it’s just major pain and very time consuming.

Login page totally blank. Just can’t login!

I’m experiencing a serious problem with iVMS4500lite. I can’t see my cameras because iVMS4500lite , when it takes you to login, the screen goes totally blank. You won’t see the spaces where you write your pass or e mail. It won’t display any buttons or anything. This issue needs be addressed ASAP! I have both iPhone 7 and iPhone XS. The problem is in both phones... Too bad. I really need to check my cameras.




Bugs

Latest update needs fixed. When you select to view multiple devices it rearranges your camera views. Very irritating. Correct this please.

Bugs have been corrected! Everything is back to working as it should!
