Latest release has introduced a crash bug that has never existed before. I have been using this tool for about 2 years and I like it very much!
It now randomly crashes out of editor, not while running program. Usually in response to my typing or moving cursor
Please fix.
this app need bug fixes right now because it keeps crashing every time I try to my documents
Also please add a export as obj. function to the voxel editor, this would cut the annoyance of restoring examples removing your voxel model you are currently working on and time.
Please add vim bindings. I want to be able to type dd to delete an entire row. I want to be able to use $ to go to the end of a row or 0 to the beginning, etc. Please.
It’s very versatile and powerful! I’m very glad that it includes references and examples, as they are VERY helpful. One question, though, does this support Mfi controllers? If not, is there a possibility of that being a feature?
On my IPhone, some of the resolution in the craft example projects dont look correct, like in the voxel terrain. the inventory only seems to show 3 blocks instead of the rest. Other then that, no issues!
I used to use Pythonista 3 and Python for my programming needs on iOS. It seems that application is now floundering without any new releases.
I ran across this app and gave it a try. I am glad I did! Codea is very professional looking and easy to use. It is true what they say about creating complex apps in minutes. Now if we could just update the XCode export to include assets and cleanup the project warnings. Great job!
Thanks for a great app. Would it be possible to add WebDAV support in a future version of this app? I would like to use VSCode as my IDE.
I just got this app and I don’t get it I rlly need advice on how to use Codea
Like Codea. I am making a game with it. It support controller, keyboard/mouse, and touch.
Ok sorry for being mean 😪
It did really crashed on me.
So i am gonna try it again😁😄
Because… of the reviews and it’s my first time using it but I just tried it out and I think I’m gonna love it! Yay!
This is not a toy app. It’s a serious Lua IDE with serious set of very good libraries that allow you to create non-trivial apps of your own. It’s very suitable to learn coding (i.g lua) and a platform to create apps you want to. I literally have been coding with Codea while I am standing on the train during my commute.
So good that I was willing to switch my focus to Lua, which was new to me. Being able to export to Xcode and publish apps is the most important feature to me. The editor is awesome. Best dev environment on Codea Store.
These guys made a usable LUA IDE for an iPad and, get this, maintained it! As a professor who teaches this stuff, this is one of the most useful teaching apps as well as a legitimate development app. So there. Just get it.
I use this program all the time.
Yes it can be hard at times but this app chat lets you talk with much better users to help you out.
In summary I rate it 5 stars
This makes the new iPad I just got that much more insane. Developing good games in iOS... Mind blown... Not to mention the developers responses to reviews are funny and attentive. This is money well spent and highly recommended!
I can actually make an app on my iPad! It's so awesome!!!!!!!
Edit: I have an iPad 2, and I like to develop on it. You guys said craft support was coming soon, and you cut off support for iOS 9! Are you kidding me, bring this back. I was promised craft support, and I want to get it!
Codea is one-of-a-kind phenomenal. I used to use this as a teen before I had a computer, and I was just brought back here after purchasing a new iPad. I’d recommend this to anyone, personally.
I just bought Codea . And I don’t know how to change the language I want to learn python is there a way to change the programming language? Or is it only Luna bc I find it a hard language
