I enjoy playing football games on PPSSPP, but I've encountered some frustrating issues that need attention. PPSSPP is plagued by bugs and glitches, particularly when it comes to screen management. Often, when I turn off my screen and turn it back on, the game fails to continue, forcing me to restart PPSSPP . Additionally, minimizing PPSSPP is a gamble, as it frequently seizes up and becomes unresponsive when I try to return to it, requiring another restart.

To take PPSSPP to the next level, the developers should focus on ironing out these bugs and improving overall stability. With some tweaks, PPSSPP could be a top-notch gaming experience. Until then, I'll remain a somewhat disappointed user.

1. Wont save games to recent meaning you have to go through the whole load process each time, which i mean isnt a HUGE issue but its sure inconvenient. 2. It wont load certain roms that works on the PC counterpart and i just discovered it also has a nasty chance of deleting iso files as well.

Long time waiting, but it’s finally here! Only issue is… you can’t map the right analog stick that PPSSPP technically includes. I looked high and low, and I can’t find a way to map controls for it- not in the default controls, not in a game config. Am I blind?

my phone is two years old and sometimes it stutteres on fastest settings on OpenGL. some games that have alot of animation causes stuttee cause tye cpu core of this app cant handle unless you have a very expensive phone sith a processor and good enoygh gpu and cpu. i have bug workadounds on as well, less lag host on. cpu clock speed 333 mhz which second psp that ever came out. antioscopic filtering is off, texture filtering is linear is on. vulkan makes some games more combatible to handle more animations in games. i did it all. i still play in this app on the daily i love it so much its worth being a free emulator. You guys or gals could increase yas ratings from 17k in PPSSPP to prob 200k or more if it reasonably stable. i olay thsi app about 12 hours a day every couple hours i have to tweak the settings repeatidly. Best app ever along with delta keeping games we love somewhere than nowhere.

This is a really good emulator for playing psp games it’s almost perfect but when I was playing crash tag team racing PPSSPP crashed on my IPhone 13 and I put the setting where it shows the battery percentage but it does not show the battery
Please fix these.

I love this emulator and it’s really well made and works amazing on ios it would be 5 stars, but one thing it needs is haptic feedback on the button presses like the delta emulator, it’s hard to tell if i’m actually pressing the buttons without constantly looking at them to see if I’m actually pressing them. If you update PPSSPP and add haptic feedback it would get bumped up to 5 stars.

Very solid, one tiny thing I noticed that could probably easily be fixed is that PPSSPP doesn't have whatever flag it needs to be able to assign a game controller profile in iOS Settings > General > Game Controller. And while we're working on controller integration, do whatever RetroArch does so that the home button on my Razer Kishi doesn't open Game Center and can actually be useful. Thanks for bringing this emulator to PPSSPP Store.

Started playing sims 2 and within a few hours into the game the start button stopped working. Great emulator so far but has a few bugs

I have an ipad mini 6 and when i run God of War ghost of sparta using this emulator my tablet charge drops very abnormally. almost 1% every minute or two, never seen anything like this in any game or app even in very high quality games like call of duty mobile on max settings. This program needs to be updated and optimized.

I feel bad giving this 4/5 stars. It’s free, and plays wonderfully through my library of racing games. Other than the occasional crash, I’m running Gran Turismo at 60fps, with the ability to switch to any other racing game, all on my iphone. For free.

However, racing games require precise inputs, which is why the physical buttons of the psp provided a superior handheld gaming experience . And of course, on an iphone, there are no physical buttons, making racing a clunky and disappointing experience.

I can forgo shifting manually with triggers by setting to automatic, but I can’t get around the fact that using the d pad or analog stick on a touch screen is a frustrating process. This could be solved with tilt controls, and PPSSPP has the option! But it doesn’t work.

So please, please fix the tilt controls. Until then I have a library of games at my disposal, that run great and look amazing, but I cannot enjoy the gameplay.

I’ve tried pretty much every setting for the tilt controls and they’re not working at all. Looking at the GitHub it seems like nobody has tried to fix the tilt issue for iOS since 2014. If you could fix this it would make the game experience so much better

So far I’m having a great time using PPSSPP besides a little annoying slight aggravating thing. Whenever I play a game I hear no audio, maybe this is a bug, but I’ve reinstalled PPSSPP and I did not hear any audio at all, maybe the roms I’m using have no audio, but please just fix this!

Performance is wonderful! Just like on Mac and windows!

Only thing keeping it from 5 stars are a few menu quirks.

- Part of the menu is covered by the Dynamic Island and rounded edges on iPhone
- There’s a text overlap on the controls menu on the iPad 12.9” (2018).
- The controller input recognizes the start button on Bluetooth/MFI controllers as keyboard-escape, and controller combos needs to be enabled to use the start button
- on the iOS home screen App Library, PPSSPP is appearing under the category “productivity and finance” (the other App Store emulators appear under entertainment)

Other than those minor quirks, it’s an absolute pleasure to use!

Unfortunately though I'm having issues with the memory stick aspect of saving as i'm out of iCloud storage so I can't save my progress in game, but i can save it in app, other than that enjoying my time microwaving bananas! 🍌

When playing Digimon Adventure (Japanese translated game) it crashes near the beginning of it like 5-10 minutes in.

Overall such a great emulator. Ticks all the boxes! Open source, tons of customization options, hotkeys, texture packs, cheats, speed changes, etc. — does it all, and does it well.

My ONE gripe, however, is that even though the DISPLAY can be rotated to a vertical orientation, the CONTROLS cannot be rotated to match.

I know PSP landscape looks nice on an iPhone. I really do enjoy it. But sometimes I just want to hold my phone upright. I have a larger phone and it doesn’t fit well for extended play when held sideways. So it would be nice to get some vertical control support.

That said it’s a small issue and the emulator overall is amazing. So still five stars from me.

Ps love the update with the updated UI text. Big quality of life improvement I didn’t know I needed.

I love emulators, and when I saw that apple was finally allowing emulators I was so excited. especially once PPSSPP finally released i was even more excited. Now, personally I had no trouble I’ve emulated plenty of wii and ps3 games but from the standpoint of someone who has no idea how to play games, extract them or even how to get them to pop up in the menu. I can tell this would be decently complicated. complicated compared to emulators like delta but not as complicated compared to emulators like retroarch. But once you figure it out its amazing you can use a controller like backbone, customize the button layout with touchscreen, and play thousands of PSP games on a tiny phone. There Isn’t any more to say this is an amazing app 10/10

Everything is good, except The load function is not working. Every time I pressed the load button, the game will crash. Please fix this issue. Thank you.

iPhone 13 Pro Max

Best app I’ve ever used so far because this brought back so many good memories from when I younger and played some games I played when I was younger and gave me nostalgia from when I had a real DS but now at least you don’t have to side load from sketchy websites Awesome would recommend if want good memories back

Was better when it first released. Ever since the most recent update, it consistently crashes. But when it works… man is PPSSPP incredible. I do utilize this app gold, but the same thing happens in the original app.

Update: I created folders within the games folder itself and separated games into smaller groups. Since then, it has not been an issue. Must be a memory thing with too many games available at once in the menu (on a iPhone 15 ProMax). Star changed up to 5.

Since 2022, i wanted this to be true, but then i had this by Jailbreaking to get this app, now it got revoked, and i always try to get it back and it wont work, but then i try to type in “emulator” on PPSSPP store, then a bunch of emulators pop up, including this, i was so happy, i even told my brother, and i really appreciate this for adding this app on iOS, thank you for everything.

Super easy to use! Every game I have added has worked flawlessly!! Only had trouble with one with the characters not showing up on a very popular sci-fi RPG.. other than that, this thing is awesome and works with your Xbox controller or PS4 controller or whatever modern controller you wanna use I imagine? Minus the PS3 controller as you need additional files for it...

There’s a bug with the second peace walker fight when it gets to 2 bars then preps for the launch and becomes invincible making it impossible to progress. Apparently this occurred in a early build before it came to iOS but was fixed yet the iOS version has it. Pls fix it

I love the PSP games wish there where more in the USA 🇺🇸 but not to many issues Star Wars battlefront 2 tends to mess up I seen yinz recently fox peace walker. The map Hoth takes you back to Home Screen once the battle heats up in battefront 2 pandemic.

I wanted to add something new more personal I was hoping to see PS Vita games one day added be cool to play classic metal gear solid 3 snake eater and sons of liberty be awesome. I feel like we should be able to port them now. BASSREALITY yinz done such a great job as it is hoping to see improvement and more upgrades for the future.

this app app is legendary and I’ve used it basically since it came out on PC to play my favorite psp games. But after the recent update on ios, yu-gi-oh tag force games crash after main menu, and MGS Peacewalker won’t start at all anymore. There may be a few more, please try to fix this if you can!

So when I use a chd file from internet archives of metal gear acid and metal gear acid 2 and import to this app and try to load it it crashes this app an I’m on an iPhone XR btw so that might have something to do with it but everything else is amazing.

I really like PPSSPP, because I get to play my games on the go with Crash mind over Mutant, and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and many of the other games I have. But some of the games that I have has choppy sounds and I don’t know on how to fix that. But other than that, I like PPSSPP and it’s better than playing on the psp counsel itself.

So it kind of do not work on my iPhone for some reason every time I try to use it, it would glitch better than at the end of the Rams I download is freaking fun

I love this emulator. I love retro games. Nintendo and PlayStation was always my favorite consoles. Now with this, I get all my favorite PSP games right on my phone or iPad. Tried with with my Nimbus controller and works perfectly. I only wish that the developers would have added support for PS1 and PS2 consoles. I hope they add in the very near future.

If you map start to PRESSING the right analog it doesn’t conflict with anything, then start can be start and triggers can be L and R respectively if you prefer over bumpers.

Overall, great emulator easy to use 5/5

This is the real deal! I was worried it was a knock off and it would be terrible. It performs great! I was worried about terrible graphics and slow loading speeds, but graphics are upscale and loading is fast (iPhone 15 pro). I have been waiting for something like this since the original iPhone launched. Highly recommended

This is not only easy to run but is high quality as well. I can play all my favorite psp games again in crisp HD with the settings, runs super smooth and allows me to save specific time stamps to go back to whenever I want making it quick and easy to pick up any of the 30 games I have installed on it! This is an absolute must have for gamers!!!

After my psp got stolen years ago I missed playing all my games from it so I’m glad now I can go back and play on the go again like the good old days

Awesome just like the other versions of this emulator. For anyone new, get your iso files and then open files and move them to the games folder. Then on PPSSPP click on home and games. Easy. Finally can play my childhood games again.

The emulation is great. Unlike RetroArch (which is still great for other consoles), it did not take any tinkering to get Castlevania running at a regular speed. It also has the exact PSP controller layout. Overall just a great emulator. Would recommend to anyone who wants to play PSP games without buying a PSP.

This is the definitive emulator for the Sony PlayStation Portable! The author has worked hard on this emulator for MANY years! Accept no imitations! This one is the real deal! Lots of games look gorgeous upscaled with NO SLOW DOWN! Maybe I’ll sell my PSP on eBay since I won’t need it anymore! Great job!! 😀

The relaxation of the policies Apple had has allowed for one of the best retro emulators to come to PPSSPP Store. While PPSSPP just launched on iOS and isn’t perfect, it’s run perfectly in the short time I’ve used it.

Awesome to finally be able to have PPSSPP on iPhone after so many years of being available on other platforms!

Works perfectly as intended and runs super well. Can finally play games I want to (don’t know if I’m allowed to say them by name) but I’m having a lot of fun so far!

We finally have an official way to play PSP games on Apple products! I am having no issues with PPSSPP as it is now.

I’ve loved this emulator for a while now and to see it officially released on PPSSPP Store is so mind boggling to think that we’ve reached this point where apple allows this!

I used to love my psp as a kid, so having PPSSPP today is more than amazing. Hopefully this emulator can also run ps1-ps4 one day. Perfect App to help kill time, download it today!

But the button vibration is so weak that you basically can't feel the vibration.

I’ve been using it for a while on my pc and it’s over all a fantastic app

So far, this has been the best move for Apple. Allowing emu’s like Delta and this app on the AppStore is a big win for Apple and its users. Not only will it bring more people to iOS, it’ll bring more people to the older games we all played growing up. My only issue with this app is I can’t seem to find an option to change the buttons for my controller. Using RT for START and START for the Menu gets confusing when it says press START on the game and I press START on my controller and it takes me to Menu. Messed with it for a while before I gave up trying to change it because I had no luck finding an option for it. Other than that it’s a 10/10 app, highly recommend!

I have been waiting for this kind of emulator for years, having to rely on different devices and now its here ^^ though the only thing thats missing is setting the background option (for making the emulator look pretty and all) but that didnt pop up though i’m assuming PPSSPP just got released today. Though, playing was smooth and really giving the feel like you’re in the early 2000s when you have the weekend all to yourself with the psp.

Henrik Rydgård has created one of the best emulation experiences in the history of emulation. His app, this app not only emulates PSP games extremely well, but he built in droves of options and enhancements, graphical and otherwise, that brings these classic games to a whole new level outside their original hardware constraints.
And the whole thing is wrapped up in an incredibly user friendly and delightful interface.
this app sets the standard that all other emulators must live up to.

Good app that can go on par with delta emulator especially because of the great library provided from the psp. overall really solid emulator and I’m glad it was finally able to get into PPSSPP Store plus I think this emulator should get a lot more attention than it currently has right now

I can't believe that other pc and smartphone platforms user's have enjoyed this app for nearly a decade already! I want to spread the word about an amazing fun experience and yet it's old forgotten news to other gamers lol

It's nice to see the iPhone becomes open for games because we are limited to pubg mobile and to these unbeautiful games and we hope that the ps2 emulator becomes also available (Arthersx2) and thank you.
