EPIX Stream with TV Package Reviews

Every few days EPIXStreamwithTVPackage tells me that a show I’ve been watching is unavailable and to refresh it or call customer service. To get it working I have to delete EPIXStreamwithTVPackage , download it again and then go through the activate device procedure. Then everything works for a few days—until I have to go through it all over again. It’s just not worth the hassle.

…why I should have to pay for an EPIX streaming account just to use the EPIX app when EPIX is part of my AT&T TV package?

I can watch EPIX programming through the AT&T guide — why are you telling me to call AT&T because YOUR app insists that I need to ‘subscribe’ in order to access most anything in EPIXStreamwithTVPackage ? I don’t understand.

Until you guys remove that block, there’s no sense keeping EPIXStreamwithTVPackage on my AppleTV — which is a shame, because I was looking forward to talking up your programming and recommending your service to friends as an alternative to STARZ and Showtime. Please fix this.

Update: December 9, 2021
There have been 2 updates since my review and still I am unable to login with my FuboTV credentials. I used to be able to, but not for the last 2 months. This is not just towards Fubo, other people say that they are having the problem with DirecTV, DishNetwork, etc. It is pathetic that EPIX has not fixed this. When you try to login, you get an error message that says:
{"message":"There was a problem parsing the response from our partner, please try again."}
It sure would be nice if they cared at all to fix this, instead of doing nothing about it!

No longer able to login with TV provider FuboTV. It seems that others are having the same problem, hopefully this is fixed in the next update.

The only reason I use EPIXStreamwithTVPackage is to download movies to watch offline. Recently this hasn’t worked at all. I try to download a movie and it never completes, so I cancel the download and try again. Then I get an error that a movie can only be downloaded twice and to try another movie. Restarting my device, un/re-installing EPIXStreamwithTVPackage , nothing works. So now EPIXStreamwithTVPackage is totally useless.

After logging in with my DIRECTV account, I am only able to view an extremely limited number of EPIX series and no movies at all. EPIXStreamwithTVPackage constantly tells me that I’m “missing out” and that I need to subscribe, but it never provides a link or directions on how to do that. Even after logging in to my DIRECTV account on the EPIX website there are no directions or options to subscribe.
If I truly need to subscribe after logging in, then a method that’s easy to find and use should be available. If I don’t need to subscribe after logging in, then EPIXStreamwithTVPackage needs updating.

2 stars for being able to view Pennyworth and Get Shorty, which seems to be the only things I can view at this time (among the shows and movies I’ve attempted to view).

EPIXStreamwithTVPackage works fine but refuses to play 4K content on my TV. Every other app that I use that offers 4K has no issue. With this one it gives me the HDCP error. I have gone through troubleshooting that I have found online including switching out my cables. Nothing works. So frustrating! If EPIXStreamwithTVPackage won’t let me play in 4K, it should give me the option to play the title in normal HD. It does not.

Having to log back into my provider daily is very annoying especially when it stops what your watching to make you sign in. It does not maintain what your watching. I have to keep moving the bar to where I was when I stop watching something and come back to it. I also have to try and remember what episode or movie I was watching as there is no spot that shows what you were watching to continue the same episode or movie Ike everyone else has with their app.

Good original programming though.

I really dislike EPIXStreamwithTVPackage , to the point when I pretty much ignore it. First issue is the frequent and cumbersome log in to verify my provider. Second issue is that choosing something to watch is so frustrating. The Coming section needs a visible date when the item will be viewable and most important DON’T include it in the lists by category until it can actually be watched. Nothing more annoying that finding something to watch only to see that it won’t be available for days or weeks. I get disgusted at this point and go to other streaming services.

I have a 300mbs download internet connection and regularly see over 250mbs constant downstream. Over WiFi, I get over 180mbs. When streaming a movie via Epix ( EPIXStreamwithTVPackage) to the TV's Epix Cast app, the movie buffers every couple of minutes. It makes watching video impossible. It's not the connection from the iPad to the TV that is buffering, but the connection from the Epix server... The Epix app on the iPad is buffering.

I have been experiencing major problems with playing downloads when I am not connected to a network. All videos will play but only has sound for first five seconds or so. After that it will continue to play but muted. It seems to be a problem when a video has been previously partially played. Only way I have going to fix issue is to delete all downloads and reinstall app. When it works it is a great app hence my three stars but when it doesn’t it is terrible. I can never trust epic to to be EPIXStreamwithTVPackage I can rely on for offline entertainment

Great content and really enjoy original programming, however it would be nice for it to actually work! Constantly having to re-enter Fios credentials and recently won’t even let me watch after I am logged in on my Apple TV. Have zero issue with HBO, STARZ, showtime, not sure why this is such constant hassle. Considering dropping epic all together if this isn’t fixed.

Hello! So for Apple TV I did a free trial for epix which ended on March 30 and of course now it’s no longer listed as active subscription for me. However when I go to Apple TV epix is still listed under my channels. And when I clicked on shows and movies it is saying “Play Free Episode/Movie” even though subscription is no longer active?

In the apple App Store there’s a couple apps. I have the streaming one where I am signed in and that’s what is installed. Is there a difference I should know about in the EPIX “on demand app” ?

Plenty of great shows, better than most tv out there today. It has become a waste land of retro series, stuff with light weight performers trying to be funny. Copy cats rule the day.

Great streaming app. Huge variety. Penny worth (Batman’s butler Alfred’s) history as a young man and his early adventures.
Definitely one of the best new series. War of the World and so many others worth seeing you don’t really need other apps. I have tried them all and I like this one the best.

I just started subscribing to EPIX so I thought I would install the included APP as well. I am GLAD I did. First thing is IT JUST WORKS!!!! Thanks to the developers it is user friendly with NO glitches. THAT in itself is unusual nowadays. I RARELY if ever review apps but this one is WORTH a review. To say I am impressed is an understatement…..

I have been working in the industry for decades, I found Berlin Station and it is an excellent series. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
I couldn't get EPIXStreamwithTVPackage with Direct tv but I am determined, I wrote Michelle Forbes, Dubai, everyone until I was successful. I envy anyone fortunate enough to have a provider that carries EPIX.
I am looking forward to season II of Graves.

EPIX provides a variety of classic and recent films and some extraordinary original series. The Godfather of Harlem, Get Shorty, Pennyworth as well as others are entertaining and when possible Binge Worthy on Video on Demand or EPIXStreamwithTVPackage . I had wanted an opportunity to watch EPIX for many years and when it was finally made available I was extremely excited.

It can’t possibly be this difficult to login with info already verifies as bonafide by HBO, STARZ.... all part of my cox cable subscription- what’s the problem EPIX? Someone asleep in your tech dept? Just a terrible app

I really enjoy watching movies on the Apple TV especially in 4K however I noticed enabling the parental controls will still show the Erotic section on the Apple TV. Anyone you can disable this section completely so that children don’t end up in this section? Thanks.

I have been using EPIXStreamwithTVPackage for a few hours and I really like it, love the offline feature which is perfect for my lunch break.
