Xumo Play: Stream TV & Movies Reviews

I got the hang of using XumoPlay , but I was surprised when the movie I was watching was interrupted by the beginning of another movie. I thought that maybe I missed something about how to use XumoPlay , but after 8 or 9 times, just how patient should I be? I gave it a fair chance, but somehow the moments of movie magic are completely obliterated when an entirely different movie interrupts the original actors' dialogue. Too bad. The whole point of XumoPlay , I thought, is to engage the customer in interesting programs or movies. Nope. So sorry. If I want to ditch a movie I'm watching in order to watch something else, then I should be the one handling the process.
You're not taking any money from me, but you are taking minutes of my time that I can't recover. The experience is doomed to be a waste from the beginning. I sure have enough opportunity for that without looking for yet another chance to waste more time!

I just wanted to show V/H/S to my family. This was the only free option. Xuno interrupted the quick-cutting horror anthology action by interrupting the flow of the film literally every 10-15 minutes with an average of 7 commercials each time. It doesn’t tell you how many commercials you’re getting each time or how long it’s going to last. What was a barely two hour long movie was instead around 2:40 of repeating uninteresting commercials that cut into the pacing abruptly and disturbingly. I am not watching anything on here again - all the other options such as tubi and Peacock do free better.

I know there is a lot of bad reviews out there about XumoPlay on movies and tv shows. But I live in the U.S and I was looking everywhere to find some where free to watch the African cup of Nation and I came across XumoPlay. They stream bein sport extra which show the games for free on here. Am so happy. That’s all I use XumoPlay for so thanks for letting me watch my country play the beautiful game of football.

I just downloaded XumoPlay and went to search for movies....I didn’t find anything that shows whole movies just min. Clips then I went to the search to type in a genre it took me all the way to tv shows in stead of movies....it would be a great app just have to fix a lot of stuff....because I don’t just want to watch tv....I want to watch whatever I want and just be able to type in the subject...instead of going through channels hoping to find something good....

I actually really like XumoPlay . The One thing that Bugs me is your lack of programming info when I’m browsing channels as well as the inability to get info on upcoming programs on the menu. Besides that I think XumoPlay is Solid. CineLife especially is a great channel but there’s never any programming info available on this or Several other channels in your lineup. Correct this and I’ll bump you up to 5 stars

This is by far the best live TV app I have ever used; however, the Favorites / My Queue feature is missing. I love the news and tech info, but fashion and sports...not so much. It would also be nice to have a limited pause/record feature!

The concept is good and has a good list of channel, but what’s the point, if it doesn’t work 90% of the time. Usually there is a in program ad that gets triggered within the program - which is totally fine and expected - but after the ad it doesn’t switch back to the channel content and screen just stays blank.

Switching channels also brings a blank screen and only option is exit XumoPlay . (Which after doing this for like 10 or more time), I quit XumoPlay for one final time and for good.

I was not expecting XumoPlay to be so good and it's free. I must say this is better than some of the paid streaming services. Lots of interesting channels with original content. I went home and added to my roku box and it streams perfectly. Whatever you guys are doing keep doing it. Props to all involved, well done my friends!

I stopped paying for cable because you have to watch commercials as well as paying ...that’s double dipping. So I’ve been off of the cord for a couple years now. The concept of this is great. Still needs a lot of work. The news source is very biased they only seem to stream left-wing news. Would be nice if you could get way more news selections. Will come back and give this a try when they get a bigger selection of News.

Okay I thought it was free MOVIES about it turns out it was just channels and trailers of the movie's!! Please put on movie's and also I wanted to watch a TV show but it didn't come on there? It's called 'Jane the Virgin' I really wanna watch it and I hope I'm not being too dramatic but all I'm saying is please add more I'm so sorry! But there was a lot of channels to pick from but if some children like age form 7-10 they wouldn't know any channels at ALL so..

I downloaded XumoPlay to watch live news, and while it worked, it would randomly play 30 second unskippable ads in the middle of the content. It was: “In his latest blunder, *insert name here* said…” then ad. I never got to know what that person said, only the commentators reactions. It is the worst TV experience I’ve ever had. So if the content you want is on PlutoTV, use that instead because they don’t run ads in the middle of your content, only during ad breaks like it should.

Push the button, movie begins. Really instant entertainment. Excellent choices in movies and shows many of which I haven't seen ever before, kind of exciting. Enjoy this waaaay more than Netflix!

I like XumoPlay except it needs some features. There needs to be a place to save your list of movies and shows and it needs a 10 second backward and forward button so if you miss part of a scene of a show or movie that you can see it. All it has is a scroll bar.

It is an great app but don’t waste your time there is not a lot of channels and you can’t find what you need if you look up a show you can’t find anything except but your not looking for I love that it is free but it needs a lot of work. Please fix. Also I lot of things don’t work like I would start to watching something then it would take me out of XumoPlay the search sometimes doesn’t work. Byeee

XumoPlay is amazing!!! My wife still thinks that we will be charged and that it’s a trial version app but it’s not. It’s legit free and really really good. The U I is great, stream quality is impeccable and it’s feels like a premium paid service app. All free!!!! If it’s free...it’s for me!!!

So many channels and different kinds of content to watch. And it’s all free! App is easy to navigate once you get the hang of it and there’s always some new show or channel to discover.

It has what other apps don’t have. I don’t mind the commercials cause that’s what’s needed to keep it free. At least it has a channel I really liked that another competitor took away. Now I’ve got it back.

You have Halloween on XumoPlay on the tv but not on XumoPlay for iPhone I thought XumoPlay has the same movies and tv shows for the tv and the iPhone

First review ever since XumoPlay store launched! XumoPlay was destined to be on apple tv. If anything it should be a apple tv and maybe ipad exclusive. I have it on my roku tv, i could only imagine how crisp the ui would look in 4k and how fluid it would navigate. What gives? Explain to me like i am a 5 year old why? Reason for 3 stars.

I’ll probably use it again at some point. I’d recommend it to others.

It wold be great not to have to use airplay to view on the tv screen.

This is a great app to watch some live shows and you don’t have to use a card to pay and I use XumoPlay every day. And also you should add XumoPlay on the gaming console ex: xbox, ps4, etc. But good live tv app anyways. 👍👍

I understand that you have to get your money but most of the movies have an ad like every six seconds! It takes four hours to watch an hour show because of ads. While I do like the selection of shows, l just can’t tolerate watching all the ads and the show.

I love it. Can you put closed caption on the channels please ? So I could understand better. Put the option to choose that... please. I like very much. Thank you.

Not all of is live or on demand is recorded some of it is live I know this because it was yesterday news not today’s news

Well I thought this might be something to look into but after watching the news portion I found instead of being some what middle of the road it is full blown liberal bias and the selection of movies and tv shows are really bad good luck to anyone who wants to add it to there aps just a waste of space move on nothing of interest here

like it so far , wish there was for Apple TV available. also XumoPlay dies not work in the iphone 8 smoothly. it takes forever to load anything . it seams its fine tuned for ipad only . it works flawlessly there .

Can you guys add XumoPlay to the Apple tv? I connect it from my iPad to my Apple tv but it doesn't always work well and disconnects from it at times. It would be easier and better if I could just get XumoPlay on the Apple tv.

I have the fastest speed internet on the market and I can’t get through one thirty minute show without it freezing every five minutes. Very frustrating to say the least. They have a pretty good channel line up but you must watch everything in five minute increments 😣
