The RushCard app is a free and secure mobile application that allows users to manage their money from anywhere. With the app, users can check their balance, view transactions, transfer funds, load checks with just a photo, pause new purchases, and get paid early with Direct Deposit. The app also provides access to fee-free in-network ATMs nationwide and offers customer support through RushCard Member Service.
The whole TWO account types they offer are a rip-off. You can choose between a per-purchase fee, or a monthly fee, which is almost $7, or $5.95 with direct deposit. You will not have a REAL account and routing number, so it is not compatible with anything that asks for bank info. It is considered a prepaid card, which means anything that needs to pre-authorize will also reject your account. You will receive a super basic stone-age card (no chip, design is gaudy and ugly), and I suggest taking care of it. Not only is it quite flimsy and clearly printed off a cheap embossing machine, but if you LOSE that card, youre screwed. You will have to order a new one, which you will get free of charge. But as soon as you activate it and load money, you get charged another $5 activation fee. You will be completely, tried and true, 100% unable to have access to your funds until your new card arrives in 7 business days, unless you authorize a $30 fee to the funds you cant use, for expedited 3-day shipping. Last but not least, the fee-free ATMs are few and far between, and the mobile check-cashing service is always broken. If youve got least be it half a brain, find a better banking service.

Customer service is atrocious...when you can actually reach someone (good luck with that). If you are fortunate enough to speak to a human being, prepare yourself for lies and the run around.
They had a direct deposit glitch. Rather than informing their customers of the delay, they were telling people that the application employers weren’t submitting the direct deposits...wrong answer as I do payroll. When I informed them that they were lying and that I was aware they were having an issue, the guy refused to speak to me.
Too many problems, horrific customer service and unreliable direct deposits. Stick with a real bank that actually cares about your business.

I’ve been with Rush for over 10yrs & the past 2 have been the worst. My card keeps getting compromised by someone who claims to be Google. The first few times that it happened, I thought, OK my card got hacked, no biggie. Maybe it’s something I’m doing. I changed all passwords, contacted Google & did everything I was supposed to do. But then every time I got a new card, it would happen all over again. This can’t be a coincidence. this app should investigate. I plan on canceling. I don’t have time to keep being loyal to a company that won’t take the time to ensure its customers aren’t hacked.

They literally stole $200 from me through moneypak when I tried to deposit cash into my account. The customer service agents don’t speak English and were of NO HELP AT ALL. I called for a refund, they issued me a refund confirmation # and told me it would take up to two weeks to come through the mail. It’s been 4 months since and I haven’t received a single cent. Furthermore, when I tried to contact this app they sent me to greendot, and greendot had no idea who I was since I never used them in the first place. I feel helpless and it’s companies like these who make things harder for the same people they claim to be helping. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made by getting this card.
I sent in all of my documents so that they could release my pending deposit. After sending in everything, they sent my deposit back and said that my birthday does NOT match what’s on file. However, I’ve been with Rush Card since 2012 and never was able to change my birthday. I had to send in my I.D, SS Card, 1040 w/ signature and my birthday and they still said that they couldn’t verify that it was me. I received an email this morning stating that they returned my deposit. They won’t let you speak with anyone else and they can barely understand English. After this, I am finally parting ways with this app and don’t advise nobody to try them.

I don’t have a problem with RushCard my issue is with the lack of support with being able to speak with a a live rep. I am no longer comfortable with not being able to speak with a rep when it’s involving my money. I only signed up with rush card for early direct deposit loads, but I’m no longer getting my direct deposits early so I don’t see the point in me keep this bank anymore it’s time to move on. Im also paying a additional money fee monthly that could be avoided with a legitimate bank account if I’m no longer receiving early deposits what’s the point of keeping this account

I wish I didn’t have to give this one star... I had the worst experience ever with this app I been with this company for years and I literally had to close my account just to retrieve my remaining balance in my account because they refuse to send me a new debit card. Customer service is very rude and not polite at all... they treat you like your money is coming out of their paycheck so they decide when you will receive your funds or new debit card... I decided to take my money over to chime hopefully I’ll have a better experience. I would not recommend this app to anyone. I will never open another account with them the card and system is trash now. I’ll be glad when they fade the whole company out no wonder they always getting sued. Save your time and a headache and bank somewhere else. You have been warned!

I have been an original BabyPhat card owner since 2003. I have never had issues with my card until the past year. I have had to file several fraud cases. And they keep issuing refunds, but don’t put a hold on the card, and I have NEVER been able to retrieve my balance to just cancel the card entirely. It causes me such anxiety to have to contact them. RushCard is worthless Because I haven’t been able to log into my account to update my information in the past year. This card was amazing for the almost 2 decades I’ve had it. Except the past year. And I can’t even cancel the card. I wouldn’t recommend it until them enhance their security on another level. Needing the funds for emergencies is not an option. The money won’t be there.

If I can give zero stars, I would!! I have been with rush card since 2010. I’ve never had to rely on a website or the site itself to handle an issue that is clearly not an issue that can be resolved via website. This is not a way to conduct business with any banking institution. This is absurd. I will be taking my business else where. I am over the new direction Rush card has decided to go. Imagine being on hold to speak with a customer service representative for an hour, only to be hung up on by the representative because they didn’t want to answer ur questions or address ur concerns. The rep was so robotic with his responses and sound rehearsed that he didn’t care about helping me. I have been a very loyal consumer to the rush card empire and this is the thanks I get? Never in my years of living have I encountered such blatant lack of the word “customer service” I can see why no one uses Rush card anymore. This is an outrage!
I’ve been with this app for a few years and it used to be reliable. It used to deposit my pay two days early around 8pm on a Wednesday (my payday is Friday) now every week the money comes in at different times. It’s like they give you your funds whenever they feel like. In that case it doesn’t serve its purpose, I might as well just wait until payday to get paid. I need gas and lunch money for work right now and it is now 5:42am in a Thursday and I have yet to receive my pay. You guys need to get it together cause you guys are gradually failing and falling behind the times. As technology advances you guys are declining primitively.

When I read about their fees in the cardholder agreement, I assumed the fees they listed were the same as most other prepaid cards.... I was wrong! They allow the retail merchant to charge one high fee and then Rush Card themselves charge ANOTHER fee on top! This is by far the most expensive prepaid card I’ve used! And they want my direct deposit ? 🙄 Yeah right! HAHA! They’ll never get my direct deposit with the fees they charge! Cost me between $8 to $9 just to add $250 on my card! I’ll update more more on this review if I find out more things they’ve tried to hide or if they try to steal my money like other reviews I’ve read and get my attorney involved if necessary! Currently searching a for a different prepaid card to replace this one but there’s only a dozen banks that partner with prepaid card companies like this one, so our options are limited. Beware of Rush Cards “double fees” everybody!!! You’ve been warned!!!

I have been with rush card for over ten years and I’ve never had a problem till last 5 months. I have not been able to load my check through RushCard . When I press to load check, it says error your time had expired log out and log back in. I have uninstalled app and installed app many times and still the same problem. I have emailed them and I get the run around. Now when I call it an automated service. Sorry to say but I may have to switch companies. If anyone has any answers please let me know.

I’ve been with this app since 2012 faithfully. They started the movement with “getting your check early”. How can they let competitors to come in and take over the game. Rush has much more potential. Their website is bland you have to review it in desktop modem. They need more features. Offer more services such as overdraft protection like other prepaid debit card, I can’t even link to cash app. I’ve been debating on switching banks but don’t wanna go through the hassle. Rush please get it together.

I’ve been with this app since they started. I’ve had my ups and downs with them, but they are good to have when you can’t get a regular bank account. I don’t receive my payroll deposit 2 days early. I receive my money late Thursday evening right before I go into work. That being the case, I just deposit a little money on the card and use it to pay smaller bills or just have extra cash on hand. Other than that, the card is decent to have around.
I love this card, I swapped from a Walmart card to this app & I'm soo happy I did ! I was having to drive miles away to add money to my Walmart card & now with Rush, I can go to Dollar General, just up the road from my house ! Not to mention my card is really pretty lol I love the color ! RushCard is easy to manage, all of the information I need is right there & I don't have to go searching in different places & pages !

I luv my this app, I gt my txt an email alerts wen a transaction has been made. I luv the prompt alerts. An have had pretty gd service with customer service. They stay on the phone with me until my issues are taken care of. Honestly the only complaint I have with them is that I ordered me an extra card an ordered my husband one the same day an he gt his card but I haven’t gotten mine an I’ve been waiting on my card this makes 3wks now. I have been with this app since 2007 and other than having to dispute a transaction to get to customer service I love this service. Getting my direct deposit early is great. One time I had a company take something out that I didn’t authorize. That company reimbursed me but would take 5-7 days. Since I had a transaction number Rush went ahead and reimbursed my card immediately so I could pay my car insurance. They knew the money was coming and they said since I had been a customer for so long they would go ahead and push it through.

I have had this app for like 6 years and I absolutely love it anytime I’ve had a problem the customer service line people and the people over the online chat always assists me with whatever I need I love the fact I can make a rush goal and transfer my money from my cards to my rush goals(savings account) ALL FOR FREE!! & I AM A ACTUAL CUSTOMER MY NAME IS KRISTEN. this app has been so good to me so I think it’s the least I can do is write a review.
I’ve been with Rush for many years and no major problems. Getting my paycheck deposited a couple days earlier helps me get a head start on paying bills. I also like that I don’t have to worry about NSF’s or fees. With the amount of direct deposit and number of transactions I do each month, I would like to see my monthly fee disappear if I meet an industry standard minimum threshold. Overall, I’m happy with Rush and I do recommend it to my friends, family and co-workers.

Between the monthly fees and horrible customer service I’ve had enough of rush card. Ingo check loading is a joke, was notified after two weeks my checks wouldn’t clear, cashed them somewhere in person and then Ingo loaded them causing a double cashing which I have to now fix between my employer and Ingo/this app. No decent banking app works with the this app and again, customer service yelling over me to prove their point rather than rectify the situation or they simply do not understand what you’re saying to them. I’d strongly recommend to find another prepaid debit card.

Years ago this card was great!!! The past few year I had numerous problems with customer care, they closed out my pink babyphat card and will NOT send me another one, I have never won anything from any of their contests I enter in. RushCard have never worked for me, I don’t think I can trust this company anymore.. a lot of changes since the new ownership and I not feeling comfortable the company, you really can see the difference I am looking for another company to trust with my money.. I am very disappointed Rush Card

The card is superb and I never have to continually check my online statements to see how much money was stolen out my account. Which was the case with TD BANK which there was always funds missing under the guise of certain fees and I once had $799 dollars taken from my account by them and due to overdraft system they could not assist me in locating why so many overdrafts were happening that I did not authorize.
The Rush card is so human friendly

I really got to say I’ve been a loyal customer of this app. They take your account very seriously and with all the bad things that are going on today. You need protection I just recently got locked out of my account. And requested a email change and phone number change. They only will take your information via fax. And I find that very secure. Thanks so much RudhCard for being my go to bank.
I have been with this app for over ten years! I am especially happy about the direct deposit option. I shop online, use it for ride share, and am now taking advantage of the savings offer to hopefully move into an apartment close to my job. I have ZERO complaints about the company. I’ve had this app now for years. I actually have 2 cards and love them. It’s great getting my direct deposit earlier then paydays and there customer service is more then available to answer questions and resolve issues. I can use it anywhere from Costco to the many gas stations that I visit. Just remember to run it as a debit so there is no holds placed.

This is the worst online banking company I have ever dealt with! I wish I knew how utterly incompetent this company is and how hard they make it for their customers to reach them!! I cannot find anywhere that tells you what to do if you lose your card and do not know your last four digits. There is no way at all to talk to someone to try to get the assistance you need. I can't even find how to close my account so i can get my money.
