4.2 out of 5
Worst paging system ever

I used many paging systems in the past, this is the worst of them all. The transcription is terrible. You have to listen to the audio to understand. The notifications don’t disappear even after you read the message and delete the message. And sometimes OnPage just doesn’t send notifications, so you miss important updates. Avoid this if possible.

Needs Apple Watch App

The new Apple Watch 3 is cellular and waterproof which frees one up from needing to be tethered to your iPhone. I’m an avid outdoorsman and couldn’t wait to get one so I could swim, kayak, sail, and run without being tethered to my iPhone. All of my most important iPhone apps have Apple Watch apps, including my patient database and prescription software... but not this app! This was a major disappointment and letdown for me, as I now need to stay tethered to my iPhone. Get with it this app!

Still the worst

At some point about 6 mos to a year ago this app updated and now has a phantom paging problem that will lock your pager and you’ll receive no pages or updates until support can clear this message for you. It takes 20-30 minutes and the only way to do it is to contact them via phone. If you are a physician this is dangerous for patient care as you’ll miss all pages and not have access to anything you missed. Everyone please STOP using this app

Customer can’t access account to update billing information

This seems like such a simple solution but apparently it’s too difficult for them to have a way for a customer to go in and update their information no you have to call them to do (or have them call you) so which when your busy and can’t be on the phone with them or in a work situation such as medical where HIPAA is a concern (something they pride themselves in being compliant on supposedly). This is just unacceptable. I can update my card information if needed on any other SaaS or service provider but this app didn’t think that a customer should be able to update their information. Very disappointing.

OnPage freezes when you have multiple alerts in a small window

Sometimes we receive multiple on page alerts/messages that choke on page. It’s very annoying to respond to the alerts when OnPage freezes.

OnPage use

It fills up- get slow
It goes down - esp night hours - getting back up is hit and hunt
WiFi down - so is on page / have to switch
When it’s working it’s good - we get high volume of calls via a live service to us via on page - the caller ID is great - service makes sufficient errors you can back yourself up with ID

Stopped alerting when paged

My company has been using OnPage for quite some time now. I just got on my on-call rotation this past Friday and it was working fine for a little while and then when a page came in it stopped paging an audible alert. I was able to login and log back out and fixed it for a while I checked about eight hours later by sending myself a test alert and I had no audible alert. I uninstalled OnPage reinstalled it and it was working fine. And then sent myself another test alert at 11:30 last night and I received an audible alert. This morning I sent myself a test again received the test but no audible alert. Logged out of OnPage logged back in and it’s working again. I have a iPhone 13 that I have had no problems with.

Version 9 lost some nice features

We recently upgraded to version 9. This version has a much different look and is not as user friendly. My biggest complaint is not being able to turn the pager off without logging out. Version 9 doesn’t have the ability to turn the pager off; you have to log out then login to turn it back on. There are other things that changed that are very annoying but I’m not going to spend time listing them all.

Poor response

It is very slow to respond and very moody. Unable to see a message promptly and keeps reminding even after you check sometimes. Repeat clicks then come all of a sudden. Slow y to o open and freezes all the time. Much worse than initially

Works well, but needs a Watch app

Overall Transitioning to OnPage has been seamless and I would recommend it. Alerts are designed so that you don’t miss them, even if on another call, and it’s easy to switch between employees taking call. I would love to see this app create an app for the Apple Watch, currently alerts can be viewed, but not opened so OnPage doesn’t work to its full potential for users who have watches with cell service.

Needs CarPlay

OnPage works well. I have no problems with what it does but there are 2 critical enhancements that it needs to be 5-stars:

1) it needs to work with Apple CarPlay. If I’m connected to CarPlay it doesn’t make any noise at all. At a minimum it needs to alert so I know to pull over and look at it; even better would be to be able to access the message through CarPlay.

2) it needs a way to alert even when the sound is off.

perfect app

replaced my two way pager. it is loud annoying and repeats.

the criticism is that it only repeats up to 5 times. for me and the way i sleep it should be indefinite until answered. though updating the interval to 10 minutes means only 50 min (loud and annoying every ten minutes for an hour). make it indefinite and will get five stars

Using it for 13 years

I use OnPage for the last 12 years. The company made a lot of improvements and added some nice features that allow me to use OnPage both for business and my personal life. Great job.

Review of the OnPage app.

The this app app is a very useful way to get important alerts very quickly. The alerts are impossible miss as the audio alert is loud and repeats every 60 seconds until the alert is opened.

Best product for on-call IT support

This product is absolutely the best around for critical IT incident notifications. I love the idea that it consistently notifies you until you read it. You absolutely can not sleep through it with its loud notification. Love it guys thank you very much.

Easy to use and helps keep on task.

I have been using this app for over 18 months. I have not have any problems with it and love how it is easy to use. It makes sure all the partners are on task and ensures that we do not miss a beat. It was easy to learn and keep up with.

Works well

Does the job it’s designed to do. I have it integrated with uptime robot and get distinct notifications/alerts every time my site’s down, when i’m on-call. It’s a set and forget engine that shows up when you need it to show up.

Great product

I’ve been using OnPage for 3+ years as a medical professional. It works great and is easy to use. The alerts are loud enough that I can hear them when sleeping.

I wish there was a feature that would block my telephone number when I’m calling patients back.

Suggestion

OnPage has come a long way. A lot of glitches early on. Has been very reliable over the past few years.

Wish they would develop a way to check a box indicating that the page has been viewed, the problem has been addressed and/or the call returned. This would show as a check mark or something on the home list so you could see if there’s a page that hasn’t been tended to. This is especially important on busy nights on call.

Best clinical communication app

Our hospital has been using this app for about 1 year now and it is the best solution we have ever had. Patient care has tremendously improved for the best.
