Contacts Grouping Lite Reviews

It use to be grata but now it's showing me a complete black screen when I try to send a mass group text #HELP

I recently lost all my contacts that I had put into groups when my employer transitioned to MS 365. When this happened I was no longer able to sync with MS Exchange. I think ContactsGroupingLite made all grouped contacts into outlook exchange contacts because it supports groups where IOS doesn’t. When my syncing stopped with outlook exchange, it pulled all my grouped contacts from my phone which was about 75% of my 300+ contacts. It really hosed me. This review seems to be the only way to correspond with the developers.

I didn’t like the ads at the bottom so I tried to delete my contacts information before uninstalling ContactsGroupingLite . It wouldn’t let me do this. I feel violated.

Tried sending email from grouping had to enter each one into email. Don't need grouping if I have to add each one in the to section for each contact.

SUGGESTION It should give you an option to select whole group to send one email. Like gmail does

It says my contacts are already in the group 'Exchange' and so I can't move them into groups or anything. Also, annoying ads that block the bottom of the screen. Deleted.

I wanted someone to ask a question about ContactsGroupingLite because there isn’t any information provided for problems that occur. However there is only a link to a company on Twitter that doesn’t match the name provided here in Apps. So at this point what looks like it was a good app for my purpose is at a stand still. Meaning I might find another app. My desire was to try creating a group of contacts that I send Christmas cards to from my contacts listed on my iPhone. A problem occurs when trying to add any of my contacts on the iPhone that are listed as Exchange (which is the majority of them). Ones that work are referred to as cardDAV.
I can’t tell what either of these mean.
There doesn’t seem to be any help provided within ContactsGroupingLite itself or on the Apple Apps download where I found ContactsGroupingLite .

...but as is, ContactsGroupingLite is lacking at being user friendly. No way I'm buying the full version until some update are made. Can't believe there are no instructions listed anywhere.

If you only need a few groups this is not bad. The contact list keeps disappearing on me when I need to add but after a few tries it will stay and let me add contacts to group.

I try to add group and it says it's not local and cannot sync. How do I fix it

Useful app but combines new group with existing contacts already on phone a make a copy of that in another 3rd group. Fix that ?

I’ve had ContactsGroupingLite for years and loved it until it started to crash several months ago after I would enter information. It’d also crash if I open another app or even exited the site without actually closing ContactsGroupingLite. Now it will crash after only sorting my groups and hit ‘done’. The crashing has definitely gotten worse, and I’m in the process of looking for another app to replace this one.

Otherwise, I like that it has an excellent spectrum of color choices and is a great way to organize and maintain contacts.

Unfortunately, the transfer process switching to another app will be long and tedious, but at this point I’m done and it’s not worth it anymore to be frustrated and lose information that I’ve just entered.

Love ContactsGroupingLite

I use it often sending emails to various groups in our Cong.
Would work well for anyone responsible to coordinate Group functions.
Would be nice if I could combine groups more easily just by selecting.

Allows you to add, delete & sort groups. Doesn't allow you to move addresses between groups. Description for paid version unclear as to new or enhanced features.

I have always wanted to make a group that I could select to receive calls from when my phone is on "do not disturb". This works great for that. I haven't tried to use for anything else yet.

Cons:
the free version has annoying ads flashing across the bottom of the screen. You can update to the $1.99 app to get rid of them.
The main Groups screen can only be viewed in portrait mode; individual contact screens will show in landscape or portrait. But it's annoying to have to turn the iPad from landscape back to portrait to view new contacts, having to switch back and forth like that is very frustrating.

But other than that, overall, a pretty good Contacts App! (so far at least: It hasn't crashed after six or seven hours of testing).

Pros:
It works in conjuction with the default iPad Contacts App, but has a better interface.
Once installed it syncs new contacts created in either app, also any editing changes in a contact.
It's easy to create new Groups, and you can color-code their identifying icons to make them easier to find visually.
It's REAL EASY to delete contacts.
Once you figure out the language ideosyncracies used in ContactsGroupingLite you can quickly transfer contacts into any Group you create, or transfer them out.
Bigest PRO: it's easy to send group mails to anyone or everyon in the Groups you create.

A few tweeks, and it would rate 6-stars!!

Great for getting info and reminders out to a big group quickly! I use ContactsGroupingLite all the time!
