The time-demanding process of selecting items for cart would be helped by better design of the interface. For example, the barely visible horizontal lines that separate the selections is not good. The link to select a product for adding to cart is too close to the product below. That link should be closer to the item one wants to select as it is confusing. Finally, after the cart is filled and ready for checkout, the link to activate checkout is dead as the proverbial door nail. I am sure that his means the system is overloaded and the order cannot be filled. If that is so, why not actually tell the user that the sale can’t be completed as there is sytem overload? Why not ask the user if he/she wants to be added to a queue and include an estimated time the order can/might be filled. If that option were available and the customer wants to exercise it, then payment could be made and the transaction would be completed once the buyer agrees. The followup would be a message from HT when the order is ready for pickup.
By the way. Why have the special time set aside for seniors highlighted when there is no active link that opens the “special attention for seniors”?

I mainly downloaded the app to ensure I had an e-card available since I reduced what I carry in the store for COVID precautions. I was also hopeful to be able to store my list of needs so when I go to shop for the week, I don’t have to worry about remembering a piece of paper but this is where the app truly disappoints: the list function is VERY limited, everything seems to be geared towards online ordering. When you search for items, there is a quick button for “Add to Cart” but to add the item to a list you have to go into each individual item, add to list, and select which list (no default option available). Also, you can’t add notes to items on the list bc that field is only for providing into to a personal shopper (what if I’M the personal shopper??) The most enhanced feature would also help identify where in my saved store the items are located by aisle in lieu of general categories like “Ingredients” and “Canned and Packaged”.

I love the online contactless shopping - thank you so much for this option! There are a couple of changes that would help me and probably others. If there could be a profile setting that could save the senior discount option and also the no substitution settings that would be great. I keep forgetting to specify them in the checkout process. Also it is frustrating that you have to delete items that are out of stock before you can check out - you aren’t charged for items not actually in stock when the order is filled so that’s not a problem. Removing items means even if the item is restocked before your order is shopped you don’t have a chance of getting it. There are items that are in stock when I start my order but always out by the time I check out. Being able to edit the order after checkout would be a real advantage - you can specify the discounts and claim your pickup slot early and then add or remove items as needed until a specified time before the pickup time. I build my order all week. Also I used to save a lot of time by using the favorites list by just clicking on items on the list I wanted to add to my cart, but recently it seems to work backward. If i click on an item it crosses it off my favorites list and I can only add the other items to my cart so I have to delete all the items I don’t want and then add the remaining items to my cart. That takes so much longer it’s not worth using the list at all.
