I have a collection of screenshots — which I've never bothered to collect from any other news app —from back when News360 had the option of a single article per screen

Now, it no longer has that option, and much worse, when I click on "top stories" I see the same stories for a few days in a row, refreshing does nothing. it's pathetic.

Why can't you people learn from history and leave a thing alone when it's great instead of feeling a need to tweak it until it turns to garbage. I'm about to delete this useless app, after recommending it to everyone I knew a couple years ago. you had slick, witty cover photos, it was *your thing*. why.

Pros: It’s got many good and interesting news stories. Content is varied and there’s plenty from which to select.

Cons: really only one big one. Virtually all the stories presume you’re a millennial. When I select the “career” category every story that comes through presumes I’m early in my career and looking to get ahead. Every article the “investing” category produces presumes I’m early on in my financial planning journey. All “relationship” articles are only really relevant for people under 35. Even articles not specifically directed at millennials are nevertheless written in a millennial vernacular, using broad references, slang, and that almost casual, conversational reporting one expects from a blog or a BuzzFeed survey. I may be closer to 60 than 30, but reading news articles full of outdated advice (for anyone over 40, anyway) and pop culture references begins to get tiresome.

As a result I seldom access News360 anymore, only browsing when I’m bored.

Update 28 Feb 19:
It seems that lots of the original functionality is slowly coming back! My subjects are back, articles open in reader mode. I up’ed the rating to 4 stars based on that; if the issues are resolved, the service is back to the old 5 star quality! Thanks for fixing whatever problems you had!

It was by far the best news reader for the last few years.
However, this app has been acquired last September and since then, more and more functionality has vanished:
- Several news sources are no longer available
- Many news stories are video only, which is useless if you use Reader mode
- Many articles now open in full web mode instead of in the Reader mode; for lots of sources, Reader mode is no longer an option
- Previously selected favorite subjects suddenly vanish and can’t be re-added.
I hope a new fixed version shows up shortly; then, it will be back to 5 stars. Till then, I will look for a replacement.

I have used News360 since it’s inception and would have given it a five star rating until the last week or two. It has been hijacked by left wing political websites. All of a sudden, all I get political hate stories from sources I never even heard of. I tried to stop them by muting the sources, giving them thumbs down, and saying I don’t want any political stories, and all I keep getting are stories from sources like Raw Story, nothing but political hate with no way to stop it. All this started in one day. One star is too much for News360 now.

Been using News 360 for awhile because I enjoyed being able to customize my feed. looked at it this afternoon however and 2 news stories out of the first 10 I saw showed full frontal nudity of a female and some that talked about porn. no where in my settings did I put I wanted to see anything related to that at all so why the heck are you showing me these things? Why are these articles even being shown period on what’s supposed to be a ‘News Source’. When I gave the thumbs down icon and you ask for a reason there isn’t even an option for nudity or porn, instead you ask if it has to do with beauty, London (what the heck!?!?), Leeds (no clue what that is), celebrities or body customization. Instead of using algorithms to source your content you better start using real people because obviously things are falling through the cracks. News360 is promptly getting deleted.

News360 contains a wide variety of news. However it does not always stick to its subject, for instance, it may have the subject of pandas, but instead of talking about pandas it might talk about cars. It also could use a lot more pictures to make it more enjoyable as an entertaining app. I have found that it does not cover any of its subjects very thoroughly. Also, when you dislike something, it often doesn't give the topics that news quip is about, so there often is nothing you can "dislike". Plus even when you've disliked something, it doesn't remove other quips in the same subject. I especially do not like sports but they keep putting them in there because the names of sports teams are usually animals, like the Philadelphia eagles. I am interested in Eagles but not in sports teams. But News360 will not listen to me. I’ve gotten pretty disgusted with it.

I don’t use News360 for general news; i have better apps for that. I use this for specialized topics: books, recipes, photography, Adobe Photoshop, travel.

It does a fair job at finding articles in those categories, except for the Photoshop category, where it is terrible. Most of the articles it gives me in that category are about phones, tablets, laptops, even cars. I hit the thumbs-down button over and over on those items, and they keep coming anyway. I have told it to mute the sites that are producing those articles, and as often or not I find I already muted the sites before, and yet I am STILL getting them. What’s the purpose of muting a site if you keep getting it anyway?

this app was my go to app for any news before you horribly broke this application. The night theme was awesome. The best compare to any of the other news apps. With the recent changes pretty much night theme is gone. Other color scheme changes are also bad. Lighter blues, white thick border around the story boxes. It looks like they hired someone who just learned how to design content.

I used to like this more, but in the past few months It’s been showing me interesting headlines for articles that require a subscrition or “free sign-up” before you can actually read them. I can’t find setting to only show me public articles.

It also shows me headlines for links that are video-only. I can’t find a way to filter the providers or content type. I am often reading these in a place where I can’t play videos, and I don’t want videos, but can’t find a way to filter them.

EDIT: I upgraded my rating from 1 star to three, as I did eventually find a way to indicate I don’t want anymore articles from a given source.
I still don’t see a way to say, “only show me articles that don’t require a login” or “don’t give me links to video-only stories”. But at least it seems to be respecting my filters.

So if it gives me articles from a source that doesn’t fit the above, I can filter that source, but not others like it. Same for articles with poorly-behaved ads.

News 360 has been my go to app for news since its inception. Lately, however, I am seeing more stories that have nothing to do with their headlines. It's frustrating. Furthermore, it seems there are more and more “sources” that seem to highjack News360 and you get page after page of unwanted stories from the same source. Lastly, I always liked being able to read the news, but there are more and more video stories that I don’t wish to view. Please consider being more diligent about your content and return News360 to the high level of reporting it once had.

I’ve been using this app since I had an iPhone 3G over 10 years ago. I’m extremely sad that they have removed one of the best features of News360. In the top left it used to give you a number that you could click and read articles about the same topic from different news sources. This was the best way to be able I see how political leanings altered news reporting. It seems like sometime in the last few updates this features has disappeared. I’ve been using News360 for over 10 years and am very sad that I will have to look for a new news app. Just for some context. I’ve had News360 since the first year News360 Store was introduced. 😢😢 very sad. Please return this feature.

For years, News360 has been a reliable addition to my regular daily online activities. While still a good app to access news feeds, i can no longer give it a 5-star rating.

Recently, “improvements” have rendered it lackluster. Feeds don’t always properly populate. More links lead to streaming feeds, which I do not use. Features used to identify why the user unlikes something have been disabled. There never has been a feature allowing users to identify why they like something. Administration seems to have overshadowed functionality. Too bad.

News360 made me leave flipboard, it is great! Fluid, great design, the reader is good to the eye and makes the news reading experience great! I love the notifications, the summary feature that gives you a summary of the article in a small window at the top of each article allowing you to have a quick sense of its content, I love the variety of sources, and the capability of reading a news article of the same event from different sources! Totally recommended

I enjoy the fact that after making a personal selections of the type of material I would like to breed I am present it automatically with articles every day but I find it informative and a pleasure to read. I highly recommend News360 to anyone that is interested in keeping up with the news interesting articles made available throughout the day

I've been a user of this app for years. As a news junkie, I've tried many news apps and have discontinued most of them. This news app has stood the test of time. The general news content is relevant and timely, it is targeted better to your news selections, does not seem to filter or bias content (as I have witnessed with other apps), and does the best job at delivering content that aligns with your personal selections. Thanks to the team at this app!

I’m surprised more people aren’t using News360. I’ve been using it for a couple years now, and it really helps to get me just what I’m interested in and big breaking news. It’s also a good way to get world news from specific places. For example while I’m working outside of the country I get local news from the newspaper here about what’s going on in this random town than I’m in.

The latest design overhaul is an example of taking something that worked and, for no reason, breaking it.

The latest overhaul squeezes the home screen to a tiny scrolling list - so basically turned a unique news reader experience into something like every other news reader already out there.

Plus the new home screen lacks a night mode so if you use night mode you bounce from reading articles in white on black to reading squibs in black on white. It will give you a heads ache in no time. Big UI design flaw.

Flipboard used to be my favorite news app, but after using NEWS 360 for several weeks, I have deleted the Flipboard app. I especially like being able to completely get rid of Hollywood junk, feminist drivel, and liberal nonsense. The ability to screen out offensive reports of LGBT and name-specific news subjects has made this my NUMBER ONE news app.

I use News360 to surf the overburden of content and I want it fast and efficient above all else. The developers seem to have more of a slant of selling individual stories.

Functionality is good, I like other-app integration, but I wish I could surf the dozens if not hundreds of articles I’d like to skim in a day more quickly, faster than maybe four to six stories per screen. Maybe there’s a better app for this purpose, I don’t know.

I'm not a fan of the new look and feel of News360 . I much prefer the left to right swipe rather than the scroll down. The former version allowed a lot more preview of the story along with a picture.

In the new scroll down version, the seven or eight words of text is not sufficient to tell me if I want to read the article. If I turn off the image to allow more text, there is still not sufficient preview, and I prefer to see an image with the text.

Don't fix what ain't broken.

I really like the format and it allows me to review a great deal of content in one place, but there are 2 very big flaws. First is I get a great deal of duplicate content from same sources so whatever News360 is doing to aggregate the content seems to capture the same content more than once. The second more annoying issue is if you flip away from News360 for a few minutes it and go back in you are back at the beginning and at times the data is re-cached so you have to flip through to figure out where you left off. It would be nice to have some settings to control this.
