Wrong Date & Day of Week

I have loved PollencomsAllergyAlert and would have rated it five stars, if only when you open PollencomsAllergyAlert the correct date and day of the week would show up. For example today is Sunday, August 18, 2019 and when I opened PollencomsAllergyAlert it showed Saturday, August 17, 2019. My allergy and asthma doctor recommended PollencomsAllergyAlert, to help me determine when I need to increase my allergy and asthma medications due to the pollen count. I hope this update/improvement can be made to have PollencomsAllergyAlert work correctly, thank you for your time.

Good app

Fairly accurate. Go to FAQ on their website to learn how they estimate pollen forecasts. It's not a 100% science but rather a prediction of the top 3 allergen causing pollens based on past 20 years of data. They also use equipment such as Rotorod samplers to collect pollen in key areas. Many tree pollens can travel by wind great distances... Some up to 50 miles. Check out their website before you give poor ratings due to lack of info.

Wish it did a little more

I like the diary tracking but no notes option in PollencomsAllergyAlert . You can only have notes on the website. It also doesn’t accurately track my currently location. It’s in the general area but not precisely accurate.

Date.

I see everyone’s complaints about the incorrect date that dates back at least 3 years. The fact it’s still not correct tells me this company isn’t putting a lot of effort into their app. Good for basic use, but wish it offered more.

Ugly but accurate

PollencomsAllergyAlert doesn’t look like it’s been updated in years, but I’ve tried a bunch of other pollen apps and weather apps with pollen info, and this one still seems to have the most accurate, complete, and easy to read info. It would be great if it got a facelift and a widget, but I can live with it as is.

Accurate

Not sure what the problem was with previous reviewers, which is why I write this for those of you who are interested in PollencomsAllergyAlert. PollencomsAllergyAlert is accurate in NM which WebMD was not, in fact WebMD was completely off. Registration worked with no problems on an iPhone 6. All well.

DELAY WITH UPDATING DAYS

I’ve had PollencomsAllergyAlert for a little over a year, recently I’ve noticed it doesn’t update to the current day to report the current pollen levels, the forecast is present yet I’m unsure of its accuracy. Decided to visit the website and found the same glitch. Please developers fix this, if not there will be another developer to come along an take your place. PollencomsAllergyAlert has become wasted space.

My trusted friend during allergy season

Love PollencomsAllergyAlert. Hay fever is such a downer for spring time sufferers. Can’t open windows for fresh air. Cant go outside to enjoy the spring temps. With PollencomsAllergyAlert It helps me plan my day. It’s simple user interface and accuracy makes a difference for me. Thanks.

Meh

I'd like it more if you could click on days in the forecast and see WHICH allergens would be present that day (potentially). It says it'll be high on Friday. But will it be "my" high??? It's been helpful in knowing which allergens are causing symptoms. And I can see before I get out of bed if I need to take something before even going outside. Wish I could prepare more though.

Good but disappointing

Love the forecast info but the diary "feature" is not integrated which makes it almost useless for troubleshooting and improving health issues. Yes, it’s a fee app but it’s a shame when developers half-ass it.

My go to allergy app

Has always been great and reliable. Recent OS update gave a hiccup but the next day all back to normal. Highly recommend!!

By

Useless for tracking

Good only for knowing the pollen count. PollencomsAllergyAlert offers a diary, except you can't access previous entries or pollen levels. You can only see today and four day forecast. What's the point of keeping a diary of you can't go back and see patterns of symptoms and if they correlate to any particular pollen count/allergen?

Google Ad Issue

The Google ad banner covers the city location and make it impossible to pinpoint the city (at least in my ipad). It cannot be minimized or moved. Ugh.

Decent app but no widget?

It would be nice to have a widget that shows current and forecast levels. Would save me from opening app and looking. Besides that, seems decent so far

By

Accurate and Helpful

I've used this for many years and it's always been spot on.

So frustrating!

I used PollencomsAllergyAlert for years, but for the past several months or a year, the pollen count on the current day is always close to zero, even though the next several days (every time I check PollencomsAllergyAlert ) shows high pollen counts. Delete and replace. 😕

Good app but not full screen on iPad Pro

Useful information and nice tracker but tiny screen with black border appears on iPad Pro makes it not a good experience. Please update the iPad size on App Store Connect. Thanks!

By

Ads cover name or location

The ad banners at top of app cover the name of the town or city so makes it useful only if you remember the order of towns. Used to work fine but they screwed it up

All my diary are gone!

I’ve been keep my diary for a week, and one day they are all disappeared with no reason, PollencomsAllergyAlert has some serious problem!! So disappointed since it does try to keep track of each symptoms.

Accurate

This is the most accurate pollen forecast I ever used.

Very basic, location annoyance.

The basic info PollencomsAllergyAlert provides is good for an "at a glance" level. However, because I don't feel every app should be able to track my every move I denied it the location info. Even though I can enter a location manually it does not default to that. Each time I
open PollencomsAllergyAlert it displays info for Plymouth Meeting, PA. I have to click locations, skip the prompt to enter or change a location and then choose the one location I've entered. It's a lot
of unnecessary steps for a quick glance at the allergy forecast.
