I’ve listened to Dr. Jeremiah for years and was excited about this new app. I downloaded it a couple weeks ago. I listened to the message this morning and closed my phone. Within hours I received a text from my cell service notifying me I had used up my month’s allotment of data. In the background this app used 8 GB of data and used up 65% of my battery. I am so upset. I never use all of my data and I always accumulate rollover data until now. I’ve got 22 days left in my data plan this month with no data. When I realized it was this app depleting everything I immediately deleted it. I am very disheartened that the app worked so poorly and I’ll have to figure out another way to hear the sermons.

Like other reviewers, I like to listen to Turning Point on my morning commute to work. But, since the app update, my entire month’s data allowance is used up in the first week! Ouch! For the last 2 months in a row, I’ve had to limp along with slower data speeds for 3/4 of the month, which is a real drag especially when I need info for another purpose but need it in a hurry. Please go back to the previous app, fix the new one, or split the daily radio podcast off of all the other fancy stuff so us daily listeners aren’t paying our total monthly data plans just to hear Turning Point!

Won’t even call it an “up”date. Very disappointed in one of my favorite ministries. Did you not conduct any Beta testing first? Not very impressed and will not spend time enumerating the reasons except to say that there are additional steps and everything must be downloaded. What? I don’t think developers realize (or care about for that matter) the impact changes have on users, especially when the changes are not so good. And the impact is exceedingly more critical when it comes to evangelism and spiritual lives. I’ve just lost Turning Point as one of my daily go-to ministries. I probably will just delete the app rather than have it consume space on my devices, and may or may not go to the internet. So I will not recommend the ministry to anyone, nor will I be able to share any content with others. Sorry and sad.
