Turning Point Ministries Reviews

I’ve listened to Dr. Jeremiah for years and never read any of the ratings. When I did this morning, I was surprised that I was first presented with a stream of negative reviews complaining about TurningPointMinistries but saying nothing of the content. So many negatives! I don’t like the 2019 app update either, but I don’t go to ratings to learn all that’s wrong with TurningPointMinistries . I go to them to determine if TurningPointMinistries will help me become closer to God. TurningPointMinistries and the teaching it brings will do just that. Please give it and Turning Point a chance to help you, too.

When TurningPointMinistries first came out, it was great easy to navigate. Now they come out with this new hip stuff, and it is slightly confusing. I don’t understand why people change things when they’re working so well and it’s so well laid out. I use TurningPointMinistries daily, it is a great app. However, when the update happened on July 12, 2019 it really became very much less friendly. To the guys who develop these apps please if something is working well and easy to navigate don’t touch it. I’ve seen so many websites and apps completely destroyed and run a mark by developers trying to make things look as if it was designed by millennials. Please change it back. But like I said before it is a great app for getting into the word and keeping close to God. Dr. David Jeremiah is a wonderful teacher and expositor of the word of God.

Won’t even call it an “up”date. Very disappointed in one of my favorite ministries. Did you not conduct any Beta testing first? Not very impressed and will not spend time enumerating the reasons except to say that there are additional steps and everything must be downloaded. What? I don’t think developers realize (or care about for that matter) the impact changes have on users, especially when the changes are not so good. And the impact is exceedingly more critical when it comes to evangelism and spiritual lives. I’ve just lost Turning Point as one of my daily go-to ministries. I probably will just delete TurningPointMinistries rather than have it consume space on my devices, and may or may not go to the internet. So I will not recommend the ministry to anyone, nor will I be able to share any content with others. Sorry and sad.

I love TurningPointMinistries. David Jeremiah has been my favorite pastor for some time now and I'm so happy that I can follow his messages easily. My only suggestion is that I would love to be able to download them. This would be fantastic for when I'm driving and have bad service so I can download and listen without internet or when I'm out of data for the month.

I’ve listened to Dr. Jeremiah for years and was excited about this new app. I downloaded it a couple weeks ago. I listened to the message this morning and closed my phone. Within hours I received a text from my cell service notifying me I had used up my month’s allotment of data. In the background TurningPointMinistries used 8 GB of data and used up 65% of my battery. I am so upset. I never use all of my data and I always accumulate rollover data until now. I’ve got 22 days left in my data plan this month with no data. When I realized it was TurningPointMinistries depleting everything I immediately deleted it. I am very disheartened that TurningPointMinistries worked so poorly and I’ll have to figure out another way to hear the sermons.

TurningPointMinistries is well organized and easy to use. One suggestion though. When listening to saved sermons when off-line under my profile, the sermons are not sorted in order of date, they appear randomly. May we have a fix that saves the downloaded sermons in order of date please? (And maybe a way to have the option to have sermons auto play when listening to them in profile? ie, March 26 followed immediately by March 27 etc.) Thanks!

Like other reviewers, I like to listen to Turning Point on my morning commute to work. But, since TurningPointMinistries update, my entire month’s data allowance is used up in the first week! Ouch! For the last 2 months in a row, I’ve had to limp along with slower data speeds for 3/4 of the month, which is a real drag especially when I need info for another purpose but need it in a hurry. Please go back to the previous app, fix the new one, or split the daily radio podcast off of all the other fancy stuff so us daily listeners aren’t paying our total monthly data plans just to hear Turning Point!

He is one of my favorite pastors! Love everything about his messages! I really wish I could download onto my iPod though so I don’t need to have internet or data. Please consider putting these messages on downloadable content. I would love to have it on the podcasts app so I can get daily downloads like some of my other favorite pastors. Please!

TurningPointMinistries works well for the most part but I noticed recently that the mini-player does not work when you’re out of TurningPointMinistries . For example, if my phone is locked while I’m listening to a podcast and I try to pause the podcast, the play/pause button does not work. I have to unlock my phone and launch TurningPointMinistries in order to pause the podcast.

This is The Absolute Best App ever made if You want to hear the Truth Of GOD’s Word! 90% Of the time it works well! Sometimes it will not connect to the internet even though my device is connected to the internet. The fix is to shut down and then restart!

Listening to Turning Point every morning starts my day off knowing I can have hope for the future. Life can be really hard sometimes but being reminded of God’s promises for that day gives me a reason to smile.

I have been watching Dr Jeremiah for a long time and I just want to say that my knowledge in the word of God has grown. I thank God for him and his family.
I encourage the family of God to pray for Dr Jeremiah and for God to used him in every way (guided by the Holy Spirit of God) so that he continues to teach God’s people.

If it's using your data just download the episodes on WiFi. You can turn off streaming and downloading unless you're on WiFi under your profile.
The update looks great! Casting would be a great feature.

Why did my Jeremiah study bible app change to the new style turning point app. It was my most used app for listening and viewing like your new app turning point provides now but it also included the review and articles and sermons that were included with each chapter of the Jeremiah study bible. It was such a wonderful supplement to my Jeremiah study bible.

My husband and I love listening to Dr. David Jeremiah but have been unable to stream his messages at work. Now, we happily listen in to these amazing teachings while harvesting lobsters, on the ocean in Maine!

Love having the ability to read, listen, or watch the teachings of David Jeremiah wherever I am. But the past month or so, It does not update daily to the current day’s messages. I must delete TurningPointMinistries and download it again. Just a little annoying and why the 4 star.

Sometime I forget which one one the broadcast I listen to. Is their a way to see which broadcast we listen too so that I don't have to go back and forth finding the correct one. This would help a lot. Thanks

Great content that is easy to access. It helps me review significant teachings and catch up if I miss any. I’m hoping it can be updated to allow us to create “playlists”, so we can listen to more than one chapter in a row without having TurningPointMinistries stop at the end of each individual one.

Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah is an excellent method to spend time daily learning the Word in-depth. Dr. J is truly anointed and an amazing teacher and gifted storyteller. He mixes passion, humor and knowledge to reach the soul of Christ followers inspiring us to want to learn more and to be better Christians.

I have listened to turning point for year on the radio and watched on tv. TurningPointMinistries brings it all together in one awesome spot. Dr. Jeremiah you will never know the journeys you have been with me on. Thank you

I just wanna take to Thank my Turning Point Family and Friends. And most of all to thank Dr. Jeremiah. You have all changed my life for ever. I once was lost, but now I’m found, twas blind but now I see. To God be the glory. Because I can honestly say. I am a God fearing woman once again. I didn’t think I’d ever see the day again and I praise the Lord above for his is faithful and just. Praise God.

But since TurningPointMinistries was recently redesigned, I don’t like how it stays open and the screen stays lit after the episode is over. I hope they can change that back to the old way. It actually overheats my phone!
