Trying to renew subscribtion..... wrong info sent and need to change. Is there anyone to speak to in person??? A phone number??? Sent note to customer service & they responsded someone would answer in 48 hours which hasnt happened. You could certainly work on your custmer service !
I am 84. I have been a subscriber and purchaser of gift subscriptions for longer than you have been alive. Unequivocally, Maclean's has the worst web site and subscriber-renewal processes in the peiodical industry. And yes, I know Canadian peridoicals having subscribed to many and edited, published and introduced to the reading public two NWT peridocals in the 1970s! I should also add that I was raised in a Bluenose home where, during WW II, Maclean's was compulsory reading! Why bother to renew now? I'm niave enough to thinkdescendents on my gift list will keep the magazine alive! DO something!!!
Is there a human being I can talk to? And what is this garbage about having to pay to "online chat" with someone, particularly when you guys screwed up my subscription? I need someone, preferably human, to confirm my subscription status?
I subscribed for print /1 year at $39.99 on june 3 2023. The confirmation I received shows a $90 purchase! I have emailed about 6 times to different places ( replied to "welcome" , "confirmation" and receipt emails! as well as to "service@redacted" and " service@redacted" NO RESPONSE! I JUST WANT TO GET AN ADJUSTMENT ON THE PRICE - THE PAGE I PURCHASED FROM SHOWED $39.99 - MY VISA GOT CHARGED $90!! HELP!! Thanks Dina
Macleans have recently raised their subscription price and I have decided to cancel. However, I have spent some time going through their website and there is no where I can find provided to cancel. Meanwhile, Macleans have used my Mastercard to automatically renew me at the increased price.
I did not receive the August 2022 issue.
Please cancel my subscription as of July 01 2021. Account # 108136268.

On both iPhone and iPad this app worked very well - and as clear as the print version. Easy to locate articles, intuitive scrolling, excellent graphics.
Then they upgraded the app in July. Maybe it still works for those with subscriptions directly with Macleans, but for my iPhone and iPad and an iTunes subscription, I can get zero access. If I restore purchases, I only get 2017 purchases, none of 2018. I have paid for 2018 and read through June, my iTunes account lists my subscription as active, but no matter how many times I delete and reload the app, no success. Contacting Macleans customer support - does get a response, but basically to just hold tight, it will get fixed ...
If it gets fixed, I will update review. I miss my Canada updates!

Switched to a digital subscription thinking this would do the job. Many nice elements however the app is ruined by the overly intrusive ads that seem impossible to exit out of. Latest example was an iPhone 6 ad which was designed to show off the photography of the device. Swiping left and right brought more ad photo examples. The "tap at top for menu" function is disabled. I get that for a second or two but when you are scrambling around for a solid minute trying to get out of the freaking ad it gets more than frustrating. Exited out of the app. Hard closed it, opened it up again to find I am still in the ad. No thanks.

Every time the app is updated I lose all of my account data. This has unfortunately happened every time. The app, when you can actually get at the information is nicely presented but getting such access is both a pain and a chore. Customer service is unresponsive to digital problems. This app is not yet ready for prime time. When they get the login and update stability issue fixed i will revisit the review and maybe change my rating. Until then I hold little hope for a resolution to he access issues.
