Went to their website for more info and found they copied info that I listed on my tree at myheritage.com. and therefore made free for others to use. Then this copycat service makes others pay for info they could have gotten for free on myheritage.com. Even worse, they are listing incorrect old info that I corrected months ago. In short you are wasting your money & are purchasing outdated and potentially incorrect information.

Geneanet keeps crashing :((

With the new adware in yesterday's release, if you don't go to the website, Geneanet locks up and doesn't open.

The software was pretty cool, but now....

Geneanet is useless. It has none of the features that the website(desktop) version has. Please fix this.

I've had a this app account for year and had hopes for Geneanet. Very frustrating and hard to use. To creat a tree it takes you to the web but then requires Flash, on an iOS device! It says you can import a Gedcom but give error messages, in French. I gave up and deleted it. Really NO STARS!

Can no longe use it.

Won’t accept user name password combo.

The first screen is in English but when I hit create a tree, the language switches to French. Need to fix this!

I can login into my online account through the browser but not Geneanet 🙄

There no way to change the language on Geneanet

They no longer support this and in March of 2019 they said it was removed from the store but obviously it has not been.

One star because I couldn’t even tell you if it works or not because the language is in French and there’s no way to change it. I’m deleting Geneanet.

I can log into the website with no problem and it is in English but when I use Geneanet , my login for the website will not work and when I try to create a tree, it is only in French. Can these issues be fixed?

Don't let Free fool you. Once I downloaded was excited to search through but you have to join a monthly membership with a fee for it to give you any information. Very confusing to use. HORRIBLE! Doesn't deserve the one star.

Geneanet lacks so many of the appealing and useful features of the desktop website.

You can view the website in English but there’s no language option in Geneanet that I could find.

If you are a this app user, then I am quite sure you will find this free application handy. It simply allow you to download your tree to your iphone so that you can refer to it without needing access to your computer or even to the internet. Anyone who can gain access to your online data can do the same thing, so it is handy for sharing. You can have the cel phone download an update version anytime you need an update. The download is quick because it doesn't include pictures or related archived documents. And because the data kives in the phone's memory, access, occe downloaded, is instantaneous. So if you need to know your cousin's wedding anniversary, or your mother-in-law's birthday, there it is, instantly at your fingertips! Search features enable you to quickly get to quickly locate any name.

On the other hand, If you desire to WORK on the tree, the application also gives you online access (and your privileges will depend on what iD you use. Those who don't like this application probably find this aspect of it unsatisfactory. Also, the application as a whole can use improvements, in particular more options to back out and cancel steps one has taken by mistake.

I’ve been using the website to build my family tree and I love being able to have Geneanet on my phone. I’m giving it 4 stars because the design could be better, it still has the format of ancient iPhone apps.

I cannot find a language change anywhere in Geneanet . The service is well worth going premium, but for any language except for French - use the web page
