Reading the Waterbury paper is absolutely great. I have been doing it for over two years. It’s pretty easy to get used too and your don’t have too share with anyone. What I really enjoy is making the print larger, easier to read, you can send articles to others, no more recycling the papers, no dust from the paper, clean hands and articles you can save, you can go back in the paper 30 days, just to name a few of the highlights.

You really need to give it a try. I have an iPad I read it on so it’s fantastic. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, you’ll probably wonder why you haven’t been reading it online all along, it’s the future.

I’m 73 and my husband is 74, makes for a calmer relationship when it comes to the newspaper. So easy once you get the hang of it.

My newspaper subscription today directed me to NewsMemory as the replacement for the existing one. Opening on NewsMemory loads a basically blank page. There is an apparent ‘search’ function, but it is not possible enter anything.

Next day... NOW it loads and appears to work fine. Not sure what is better about it than then one previously being used for The Winchester Star, but at least it works - and I have learned I can also access the paper (in the same format) in a browser.

Previously I had been reading the paper using my iPad’s browser, however NewsMemory allows me to easily zoom in and out of any page I’m reading much more easily, using whatever zoom level I’m comfortable with. It also loads the paper with just one click without having to search for the paper in my email. No complaints here.

Works well for reading my local paper on my IPhone but for some reason I cannot get NewsMemory to function on my iPad. Wish it would... be much easier on a larger device!

I’m subscribed to an e-newspaper that I used to have to read online. While that version wasn’t bad, this option makes accessing my newspaper much easier and with better formatting controls. It’s a God send!

One click and I am into my news paper. Just slide through the pages. Able to blow up a particular article to read it better. All around good app.

This makes my newspaper easier to read than NewsMemory I was using previously. Easy to get to, easy to navigate, and no wasted time or frustration.

When it is impossible to get out to pick up the paper it is so helpful to read it over the internet. Good work!

This format has allowed easy access to our local newspaper. It is intuitive and easy and never crashes or freezes

Love being able to read my hometown newspaper like I did when I delivered it many years ago.
There are days that zooming into the articles takes a few tries before you can read it (text is blurry or goes away altogether).

I enjoy being able to access my hometown newspaper from afar!! You are able to keep up with the news, like you are right there.

Our local paper uses NewsMemory for digital viewing. So what’s easily available is also what’s important, local news.

NewsMemory is quick and easy. It makes reading more convenient than the papers page viewing options.

Emailing articles using NewsMemory does not work, you have to do it through the web page.

I recently moved from my longtime home of CT and was a subscriber of the New Britain Herald for 30+years so being able to read it on line is priceless. Thank you.

Always ready to view. Never had a problem so far this year.
Thinking about a paper, but on line is more convenient and saves the trees.

So much better than last app since it’s easy to flip through pages, enlarge, and it’s all there.

Finally a news app that delivers the news naturally…like reading it on printed copy, only better.

This site makes it do easy to access the sun city west independent and to navigate thru the pages.

NewsMemory used to work for me but now it doesn’t. When I try to scroll thru the selections, it stops at T. I guess if you can select your paper then NewsMemory would be great but why can’t I get it now?

NewsMemory takes forever to load! So frustrating!

Meadville Tribune, why did you do this to us? NewsPaper Direct and PressReader Apps are way better than this one. We have gone backwards this time! Way back... this app Is impossible to read for all of the reasons cited by other reviewers. I will not repeat the negatives and there are no positives to review. We will be canceling our subscription if something isn't done soon. this app is not even close to being acceptable. It is like an app that was developed 20 years ago.

Also, I didn't care for the condescending attitude of the person I spoke with at the Meadville Tribune. Maybe they were frustrated by the number of complaints they were getting. Who knows. I was treated as if I didn't know a thing about technology which is very far from the truth. Please re-partner with PressReader! Much better app with many more updated and even advanced options. It did have a learning curve but was well worth the time and effort in the end.

NewsMemory works fine. The paper loads quickly. My biggest gripe is, I cannot delete past issues. I don't have any need to save back issues. Like at home, with paper, I read it and discard it, can't do that with NewsMemory. 30 back issues are being saved and the only way to clear them out is to delete NewsMemory . After deletion, and reloading, the back issues appear again. Apparently, the only way to permanently clear the back issues is to delete NewsMemory permanently!

The new version would not start up after updating. But after powering off the iPad and powering back on, works fine. Re-installing NewsMemory would probably work fine too as another reviewer pointed out. But the power off/power on preserves all your settings.

Suggestion for the developers. In landscape mode, the right "turn page" arrows are directly next to the ? (help) and $ (account info) buttons. It is far too easy, and therefore annoying, to hit the $ or ? when intending to turn the page. Moving either the arrows or the $/? on the landscape page would be a great improvement to the page design.

After reading the negative reviews, I almost didn't download NewsMemory, but I'm glad that I did anyway. NewsMemory is simple to use and fairly intuitive to navigate. I've been using it for the past week or so to read my local newspaper on my iPad and it's worked very well. It is a big improvement over the previous e-edition version.
If you're having problems with NewsMemory , try removing it and downloading it again. Also make sure that your device has the latest software version installed.

I never had a problem with NewsMemory . Took me awhile to get used to differences with other e-version app for other papers I subscribe to. I do have a problem with what to do when I wanted to cancel. Contact names/numbers hidden and very difficult to locate. Also, do I contact News Memory or newspapers? I am gong to call the subscription service at the newspaper to see if they can help me. I hope they have heard of News Memory!

I have been using NewsMemory for a week now while on vacation. I downloaded it because the e-edition of my local paper was so BAD! NewsMemory is really easy to use and is what I thought my local app should have been all alone. I can't speak to the other issues folks have had, I use it on an iPhone 5 and an iPad 2, both with the latest iOS updates.

I use NewsMemory to read my local newspaper's e-version. It generally works OK, but has a very annoying tendency to crash. The previous version would always re-load at the front page of the front section. Now, at least, it returns to the page I was reading when it crashed. The stability of NewsMemory is borderline acceptable.

Seems to work fine once you are in the e-edition you are subscribed to. I clicked on the wrong paper and could not get back to the main menu. Had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. Search function for different papers does not work. You can type in what you want to search for, but there is no button to actually start the search. News memory support link brings you to a 'webpage not found' error. Papers are sorted alphabetically, including the word 'the'. NewsMemory needs work and some major testing.

We read the Record Eagle with NewsMemory and it is sluggish, blurry and the other day the text was jumping all around. Could not read it at all. The paper used Press Reader before the switched to Memory news. It was really good and you felt like you had the actual paper in your hands. With Memory News we are seriously considering our newspaper subscription . We have held on for over a week thinking they would improve NewsMemory but we are coming to a close. Spending $9.95 each month is not worth it.

After downloading NewsMemory to iPhone, found navigation to be anything but intuitive. Difficult to move around a page, and when tapping on a story, something other than the "real" page is displayed. Also, tapping on the jump gets the reader nowhere.
NewsMemory is marginally better on the iPad, but for an unexplained reason, the available edition history shows a missed date!
Time for Tecnavia to take a closer look at Press Reader (my local newspaper changed delivery services) and try to emulate some of what it does.

My local newspaper recently switched to NewsMemory, and it's terrible! You have to wait 20 seconds or more for each page to load. Sometimes it freezes up completely. NewsMemory they previously used also had this problem from time to time, but not on every page, like this one! I may just have to read my local paper on the PC from now on, even though that is not why I subscribed to the digital edition.

I used to be able to get the e-edition of my paper on my iPad, and print selected items using NewsMemory provided by the paper (from technavia).Then I made the mistake of downloading the technavia app from Apple. Now I can't print anything. Deleting the Apple app looks like it works but at the point where I select which publication put out by this paper I want to read, the URL changes to the one for the Apple app and the system won't go any further.

What an absolutely horrible, amateurish, dumb, crappy app. Just want to read my local newspaper electronically. Should be easy. Apparently not. Stopped my subscription with no warning, no prompt to renew, and no obvious way to find a renewal button to start it back up. NewsMemory must have been created by the same over-the-hill dinosaurs that are running newspapers now and don't realize that the world is passing you by.
