Way too many notifications now. Way more than in the past. Let’s save those for really big breaking news stories please.

My main aggravation is when there is breaking news and I want to get to the live video quickly, I have to sit through ads to see it. You should only have ads on non breaking news videos. Secondly, I was watching a video. Mid way through, I decided to make it full screen and turn my phone to landscape mode. The video stopped and went back to the story. Another issue is when I start reading an article the text disappears when I scroll down. This happens every story. I then have to scroll back up to the top and it will reappear. Not sure why that happens

I have been watching channel 2 WSB tv since I moved to McDonough at 10 years old. My parents had encouraged us to be aware of what’s happening in the world and in our local communities. I have watched the other news channels but felt WSB always had the best coverage and I enjoyed all the anchors, meteorologists and Clark Howard. I trust channel 2 for honest reporting of the news local and around the world news. Thanks for what you all do!

The facts are the facts. Don’t tailor stories to satisfy a market. Stick to the truth. WSB is slipping into tabloidism and selective news reporting. They don’t report the news entirely factually as they worry they’ll alienate folks who don’t want to hear or believe the truth and subscribe to alternative facts. Their headlines and photos often belay the truth of the actual story or are a “bait n switch”.
Above all WSB is terrified of covering state and local politicians for fear of losing access.
WSB could delve into some real journalism and make a difference with all the government corruption and nepotism if they weren’t so busy reporting raccoon sightings at public parks or about an angry mother.
Stop showing us crap.

I have to restart it several time to get it to work on my phone so i have to watch that same commercial that many times and more, no problem playing the commercial.

On the weekend i would like to watch the last regular news broadcast but often only can watch hi q, ect. When during the week i can see the 6pm news even if its 7 pm

I enjoy “reading”the local news, but I feel that WSB should leave national stories to the AJC, CNN Or Fox News. A person chooses WSB because they are a leader in our local market. Also, they can “run a story into the ground”. You pay your employees to report the local stories, so have them go out and find the Atlanta based stories. Enough said.

I would like to see more honest news topics. For instance when the Haitian President was assassinated, why was this not front page news. Also, why was Hunter Biden’s troubles not brought to the front. ALL people should be made aware of honest National and International news at ALL times and not selected news. Why does this media outlet like to show friction where friction is not the case. For instance, the spa shooting were not of Asian hate but of a sexual hate. The gunman did not hate Asians but he had a sexual temptation and he acted out of rage from that. I wish WSBTV would have really showed the truth and not try to divide America.

I receive frequent daily updates on metro Atlanta and state-wide (Georgia) news from WSB Channel 2 news on WSBTVNews on my smartphone.I’m a former resident of Atlanta and became a WSB viewer in the 1980s! The quality/depth of reporting is excellent and the investigative series are informative and educational. I’m now a resident of Alabama but have close relatives/friends in Georgia and an interest in “affairs” of the State and its citizens.- Rebecca B. Tinker

I’m actually grateful for whatever issue they’re experiencing with the ads right now (no longer player in between breaks, just says “pardon the interruption, we’ll be right back”) because they’re so ridiculously repetitive. The same 4 real estate, auto sale, legal aid, and Grady/credit union bank commercial plays over and over again. It’s very annoying. Other than that, the actual live news streams okay. Ads are out of control and all over the place. I get it’s a free app, but come on. I’d much rather watch it on TV due the poor construction of WSBTVNews .

I like the availability of the news app and some of the notifications. I hate the fact that when you view on app or stream you see different commercials and usually have to sit through them before you can view any content. Also you see the same ones over and over and over and over and over and over and over!!!!!!

It’s been a while, so I’m refreshing my review of WSBTVNews. Unfortunately it’s still two stars.

I can’t remember how long it’s been, but at the last major update to WSBTVNews on the iPad, the developers made a terrible design choice. The main feature of WSBTVNews is the live stream, where you can watch the news live. For some reason they decided that it would be a good idea to create an overlay on top of the top headlines and put the video in that overlay, making the overall video less than 50% of the screen size. Really?!?! I might as well use my phone. At least the iPhone version is full screen.

The other issue is the constant buffering. Does not matter how good my connection is, the video stream buffers about every 3 minutes.

With these issues, I rarely use WSBTVNews. Just not worth it.

I love this news station, it’s like watching a family delivering the news! They pull you in! I watch it in the morning, afternoon and evening! I can tell the news if someone missed it! I watch it that much! Jovita is gorgeous!!! Thank you! Tori

I love that it always updates me when new numbers of Covid- 19 cases are counted, and many other news articles that I like to read. It gives me all of the details that I want to know. The only thing, is that at the very bottom of news articles, it shows other articles that I might want to read. Some of them are months old and get confusing. Overall, a great app! :-)

Several issues I've noticed.

There are far too many notifications. So many that I've simple turned them all off.

Second issue I've noticed is that you can't email issues to them from WSBTVNews unless you use Apple mail. For those of us that use another email client, WSBTVNews just errors and tells us to setup at least one email address. Be smart enough to launch other email apps, or simply put the message form within WSBTVNews itself, bypassing our local mail client entirely.

WSB-TV News App alerts me immediately with urgent news as I requested in my settings. However, WSBTVNews forces me to watch at least 30 seconds of advertisements before I am allowed to see the urgent news. I have turned off all notifications for WSBTVNews and am using other News apps which don’t force me to watch advertisements before I can see the urgent news.
The news however is written and presented well.

Trying get people to look at or deceiving headlines are non-consumer friendly. Usually when you finally get to the story it is too long and the typeface is too small to read. Why not use bullet points first so people can devoid they want to read more? The WSB News app is not a newspaper, especially on your cellphone. I basically stopped checking you for news because of that, and I am certain I’m not alone

I will be in the middle of reading a news story and the story will disappear the title is there, not the content. I either scroll back to the top and it may reappear or I have to back out of the story and select again. It may not happen it may happen once or multiple times. I like WSBTVNews and the content, just not the glitch.

Congratulations on inciting unrest and demoralizing police officers who protect us. A innocent George Lloyd was murdered by a bad cop. Bad criminals murder good cops all the time. What will happen if APD is disbanded? Oh that’s right they want to start a organization to take its place that will work on the problems APD is having with its policing. Let’s say how they set their policies when pulling over a felon with warrants who has a loaded gun in his lap. Bet you they will over react from time to time after a couple of their officers get killed..

I moved to GA 2 years ago and Channel 2 News was the first thing I watched. I love Fred and the morning crew! I’ve been back in Texas since March for because of Covid but still watch Channel 2 every morning on WSBTVNews . I love Texas, but you guys are my go-to newscast. Thank you!

I live in a small town called Sparks, Georgia (4 hours South from Atlanta) and I look at this news everyday. Always alert with the weather, updated on what’s going on and everyone is always in a great mood. Keep up the great work!

When an article has less than 100 words and takes two frustrating minutes to read because the ads cover it up constantly, your app is broken.

When you tell it not to send notifications for sports and now the only notifications you get are for sports, your app is broken.

Please fix these issues if you expect people to find value in your app.

Yesterday my iPad was in sleep mode most of the day and when I awoke it to check something my battery was at 14% and I recharged it. Today I powered up the iPad which was at 100%, and within a few minutes it was down to 96%. I checked battery and it attributed 100% of battery use was due to WSBTVNews.
I have deleted WSBTVNews until they fix the problem.

The new update offers nothing new or better as far as the UI or ease of navigation. The ads still sit at the bottom taking up space and are very distracting. WSB is very good at sending alerts, but outside of that, the other local news apps are much better. Also, after two updates, sharing the link on social media is not working properly.

I get push notifications with no sound. Please fix.

Information is too difficult to find. Even after receiving an alert, a story disappears. Only long videos with long ads can be found. Please include written articles!!

Too many stories are just teasers - “hear why this happened on Channel 2 Action News at 6 pm.” I’m just looking for a good roundup of the latest news; if I have to tune in somewhere else, that somewhere else is going to be someone else’s app.

The videos tab is not updating. It’s still showing videos from a week ago while the Wsb website has recent videos up.

There is absolutely no reason why WSBTVNews shouldn’t have been updated to fit the last two phones screen resolution size. 1 star until you fix it.

This could be an ok app, but why do you have to use 1/2 the screen with a photo of a weatherman and othe fixed info. This leaves just a little space to select and view weather. YOU SHOULD FIRE WHOMEVER DESIGNED THIS. I understand you need ads to make money, but they should be reasonable in length.

When I was watching WSBTV 2 news And when I went to the live radar and is saying “Baron Services” and the radar does not show up and I t keep saying again and again.

1 star because the constantly moving and at the bottom of articles makes it extremely difficult to focus on the actual content.

WSBTVNews is trash. The live weather maps don’t work. The live feeds freeze and don’t play. The articles that need frequent updates (such as severe weather) are never updated until AFTER the storms/threats pass. Use the 11 Alive app instead. It’s much better.
