I have found this works great in getting around Frankfurt. I really like the feature of checking the current position of a bus or train. I haven’t used it to buy a ticket, but that is easy to do on the bus or at every train stop. It is also nice in planning ahead. I can check what time to catch a bus or train to reach a destination even days in advance. This is much more reliable and accurate than Google Maps.

This is a local public transit app that makes it harder to buy a bus ticket than booking an international flight. There is unnecessarily too many security layers. You cannot pay with a bank or credit card only with direct debit or PayPal. So if you don’t have a German bank account forget about using RMV. Crashes regularly. After update it informed me that it is migrating to a new Sepa payment system. After accepting terms it just states an error so I can’t buy a ticket.

I haven’t had any issues with RMV. It’s worked great for transportation in and around Frankfurt, the downloadable route maps have been very helpful and the option to purchase a ticket through my phone is great too.

RMV does work ok in general. It is , however, most annoying that it is not possible to buy a Regio or S-Bahn ticket ahead of time and store it in the wallet. Maybe the powers that can make this happen should check out the Bundesbahn app where this is working flawlessly.

Another issue (not so important but for myself) is that only a German Handynummer is accepted. My US number wo t work for sending me PIN number. The DB app has no problem with that, either.

Can’t figure out how to buy a day ticket using RMV . I must be stupid.

This is so badly designed, confusing and hard to use.

A lot

RMV works fine except for two issues:

1. RMV very often shows train connections you are not allowed to use with your this app ticket. These trains are long distance trains ( IC/EC/ICE ) and are not included in the this app system - you have to use a completely different ticket.
On the this app website , you can decide not to use long distance trains - it should be made possible in RMV too.

2. RMV also crashes quite often for no reason.

Why do you wrote in ur description that you're optimized for i6, when ur not.

Wozu diese App wenn der Zeitplan so selten aktualisiert wird?! Innerhalb 2 Wochen: Bahn is 3x mal ZU FRÜH weggefahren (schlimmer als zu spät!) und 2x gestrichen - ohne Bescheid in der App.

There is no way to get your password if RMV forgets it. It says it will send it to your mobile number but it never does.

Could never use RMV because I could never get past their poorly conceived password system.

Es geht gar nichts.

So ziemlich egal wo in der App ich auch hingehe ich kriege eine Fehlermeldung "503 Service not available" obwohl ich mit dem Internet verbunden bin.

Die Kontoanlegung ist nicht intuitiv - man wird gefragt ob man sich einloggen will, und ich bin mir nach wie vor nicht sicher ob ich jetzt ein Konto habe.

Die App macht widersprüchliche Angaben (ich könne keine Nachrichten erhalten, dass müße erst in den Settings eingestellt werden - obwohl ich es schon eingestellt habe; beim Passwortänderungsversuch heißt es "Input too short. Minimum length: 4", obwohl ich gerade 8 Zeichen eingegeben habe. Sprich, das Passwort kann ich auch nicht ändern.)

Auch der Kartenkauf ist nicht intuitiv. Nachdem man die ersten Daten eingeben hat heißt der Knopf um weiterzumachen "Buy Ticket", statt mal "Weiter zur Preisansicht" oder irgendetwas anderes, dass nicht den Eindruck erweckt als würde man sich jetzt gleich zum Kauf verpflichten, obwohl man noch nicht einmal einen Preis oder Kartenoptionen gesehen hat.

Letztlich stürzt die App dann auch gleich mal ab.

Insgesamt nicht zu gebrauchen, und einfach unter aller Sau, dass ein Verkehrsverbund in einem der wichtigen Ballungsräume Deutschlands so ein minderwertiges Produkt herausgibt. Dann lieber mal gar nichts rausgeben als sowas.

Man kann nicht mal als Zielort Bensheim oder Mannheim angeben.
