Version 10 is NOT user friendly

This new version makes it really hard to switch between my Forman accounts. As I am constantly looking at everybody’s schedule. Also it’s harder to schedule jobs into different folders.

I really wish I could downgrade to an older version.

Bugs

Fantastic concept, they do a few things right, but don’t expect anything to work intuitively or how you think it should, expect little to no customer support from the company. You can find a rag tag group of users on Facebook who will all kindly provide workarounds to how make it work better.

Interface with Quickbooks desktop

I like the features of ServiceM8 and it greatly improved our efficiency in the field, the bottle neck occurs with the interface to Quickbooks Online only. Quickbooks Online doesn’t fit into our business and unfortunately eliminates this opportunity to use ServiceM8.

I keep having issues so am Looking for an alternative for invoicing. it just feels like they aren’t paying attention to my issues or I am a second rate customer. And I hate writing reviews like this. I like positive reviews

App crashes

It’s a cool app for work but it’s extremely frustrating trying to get ServiceM8 to take pictures in the documents section of the camera feature. Also I’ve experienced many times walking through a job site taking before and after photos of work done and app crashes! This can also be extremely frustrating especially after you’ve taken 50+ photos and ready to hit the road to the next job and all photos get lost. Please can you fix this problem before I throw my phone at a brick wall lol seriously

Things to improve, add, etc.

Great app!think you should allow workers to review there total hours Per week,per day. Also be able to request time off to secretary or whoever handles that. Make a section to request equipment repairs oil change etc. with equipment type number etc (example truck 12 needs oil change ) that would go to secretary or whoever needs it

Overall

Overall, ServiceM8 works pretty well. There are some features that are really great about it, like on the way text to customers, being able to attach pictures to a job, creating multiple estimates for the same job. There are, however, some things that could use some improvement still, like having a way to track inventory. Having ServiceM8 pull information from the caller ID to create a new job when the customer is already in our system. Being able to send text messages to a customer with a picture attached. Annual updates are great, and tech support has been OK at responding.

Documents

I’ve had trouble changing documents for 6-7 months . With no Microsoft word, it doesnt seem possible.

Robust app

ServiceM8 is very robust and once implemented properly, it's a huge time saver. Implementation can be a little difficult, especially the forms. Their ticketing system for issues does leave a little to be desired. It took two weeks to get an issue resolved but they finally did. Overall, we're happy with it. Just eager to get the kinks worked out for deployment so we can take advantage of what it offers.

Great app but has iOS 13 bug...

I’ve been using ServiceM8 for my business for over two years and I love it. It’s absolutely essential in my daily routine. That being said, there has been a bug ever since I installed iOS 13 beta on my iPhone X and it has has carried over to the final iOS 13.1 release on my iPhone Pro Max. ServiceM8 crashes every time I attempt to book a job. Works fine on my iPad Mini 2 running 12.4.1 though. I just assumed it was a bug within iOS 13 but as I said, it has carried over to the final release of the OS. Other than that, I highly recommend ServiceM8 if you’re looking for a tool to log and book appointments, as well as well as managing a team of employees being sent out on field jobs. Keep up the good work.

Good small contractor app

Inability to plan a route with the least mileage driven is my biggest problem

Other than that ServiceM8 is great and get a lot of great feedback from customers

Plumbing and heating contractor

Hands down THE best crm or job site management tool I ve used. Loads of features INCLUDED in monthly subscription they even have a scaled back version for free! Don’t be afraid to use this if you’re located in the United States as I have been for close to two years now they come up with new features every year and have so much to ofer often I feel as if I am scratching the surface to what they have to offer.

You can pay lots of money for something with more features, but for most small-to-medium businesses, this is all you need.

Potentially the best FSM

Our HVAC company has used several different Field Service Softwares. We just switch to this app with in the year 2024…and so far SM8 is truly way ahead of the competition. While the platform is not perfect, I have been very impressed with their Tech support. They are constantly improving the software

iPhone

This is an amazing app. All in one. Please keep prices fair as always for more success.
I want to be able to attach multiple pictures at once when sending an email.
Also if we could send pictures from text option would be amazing for ServiceM8 .
