CheckPoints #1 Rewards App Reviews

The number one issue with CheckPoints1RewardsApp is it is consistently glitchy/buggy. For example, there is an option to link debit cards to in exchange for higher point values per receipt (i.e. 40 points for a debit-linked Target receipt vs. 5 points for a non-linked Target receipt). The issue is usually this feature doesn’t work. I’ll try for almost two full weeks and continuously receive a message stating the transaction can’t be located on the account (despite re-linking the account over and over again). The second biggest issue is support/help. Other apps almost always at least respond to you eventually. I’ve reached out several times to CheckPoint and have never received a response one time. The third issue is it does take a long time to acquire enough points to cash out even $5 (like maybe once a year with approximately 30-40 regularly uploading receipts on average weekly). Not a complete waste of time, but close to it!

Been using CheckPoints1RewardsApp for a while, knew it didn’t pay out a lot but made some money and actually got paid, so that was good. However they changed their survey rewards with no notice-you used to get 5 points per attempted survey up to 10 per day, now you get nothing unless you complete a survey. They’ve also always had problems with giving credit for videos. It tells you how many videos you have to watch for points but the amount doesn’t change after watching several. Someone in customer service said you actually get credit for watching the ads in between videos so I said you need to clarify that because it’s misleading/lying to say it’s videos when it’s ads. Sometimes there are no ads to get credit for watching but it doesn’t tell you that. They have never fixed it after several emails they just say oh here’s some points. So now it’s mostly a waste of time.

Never received reward. I’ve been using CheckPoints1RewardsApp for 2 years. Initially, it was 20 points per receipt. With 25 points for having receipts from a select store. Then a couple months in, the points per receipt dropped to 5pt! Making it crazy difficult to gain points to redeem for a $5 gift card. I was able to reach my goal after months of receipt collecting. I requested for a PayPal gift card and received an email that my account was under review before getting the card(stated it would take up to 2 weeks. It has been over 6 months and nothing! Smh. Don’t download CheckPoints1RewardsApp. Not worth it at all. Also the people who allegedly won big gift cards and prizes with their scratcher (which you can get from redeeming points) have been displayed on their home page for over 2 years. One of them being ‘Patty H.’ Who supposed win 150k points. Any other new winners yet?!

CheckPoints1RewardsApp works, doesn't work. Location works then doesn't work. Videos work then don't work. Scans can't work because there's little to scan and then fail. Surveys are a joke. You can't do a survey for 10minutes then don't qualify and no points. At least in my opinion shouldn't work that way. If you don't qualify that should be decided in the first 30 seconds. Don't waste people's time. After all this above you may or may not have earned 5 points. Heard this was an awesome app and gave a try. Maybe it was but not now. Owners got greedy and quit giving points, hence quit payouts. Guys won't stay in business long doing things this way. And need fix bugs too. People are complaining but no customer service response so of course bugs not fixed. See how long CheckPoints1RewardsApp lasts at this rate!!

Tried getting points by scanning items in the store. I am disabled (which is why I’m trying to earn extra cash). By the time I wander around the store looking for the products, then bending or reaching for them, most of the time it won’t accept it because CheckPoints1RewardsApp wants the 1 ounce, not the 3.5 ounce, or some other ridiculous reason. By the time I leave the store I am in agonizing pain and haven’t earned hardly any points. Plus, they never have anything on CheckPoints1RewardsApp that I buy because I always by the cheapest item, which is usually the store brand. All of the items here are way too expensive.

As far as surveys go, every survey I take tells me that I do not qualify. So I waste my time and they get a bunch of free info. Absolutely pointless. And you have to watch so many videos to get a tiny amount of points. So far CheckPoints1RewardsApp is a complete waste of storage.

CheckPoints1RewardsApp is worthless bc honestly 85% of the time it says it’s a duplicate receipt even when it’s from 30 seconds earlier! It seems to think if you’ve ever submitted a Walmart or Target receipt before that you can’t possibly have shopped there again and it’s so frustrating. It also loves to have “errors” of some sort or another half the time so it ends up being a total waste since usually you can’t even submit anything. The daily rewards tend to say no available rewards today lol so again defeats the purpose!!! I’d suggest sticking with Receipt Hog and not even messing with this piece of junk app that isn’t worth your time I assure you!! If it even worked 50% of the time I might say otherwise but it doesn’t.

CheckPoints1RewardsApp would get 5 stars if it worked correctly. I'm not getting points for checking in or for most videos. Also shouldn't have to get so many points for a decent gift card. Please do an update that fixes the point and video problem!!!

Was really liking CheckPoints1RewardsApp, never have had a problem getting my rewards so far, but can now only get the 10 point check ins for a total of 30 points if lucky since update. Please fix this issue and the video issues.

Now you took away the chance to get coins to play the games to acquire points. Please quit taking things away. I love CheckPoints1RewardsApp but it keeps taking longer and longer to get points.

Now you have taken away 10 point check ins and limited the 2 point check ins. Never get points for surveys so don’t waste your time and have to watch too many videos to get 1 point.....PLEASE, you had a great app that is now quickly going the route as MPlaces app, soon to disappear.....
Please update and improve before it’s too late.......

Just want to mention I too redeemed on Dec 26 for an e-gift card and didn’t receive it within the 14 days. After a few emails to support I finally received it on Jan 17. So be vigilant and keep emailing them and eventually they’ll get you your gift cards. I’m figuring that this pandemic has affected them too so be patient and keep bugging them. Hopefully they’ll have more local checkin’s again soon too.🙏

I have same issues as everyone else majority of receipts come up as duplicates or error. And a lot of the time the daily reward doesn’t work. But I recently cashed out for $5 and didn’t get my money. I sent email and they gave minimal reply, I sent another email explaining action I was going to take and beloved app was a scam and they replied and sent me my $5 thru PayPal. So far I’ve always been paid but do have issues scanning receipts. I do several receipt scanning apps this isn’t the top one but free money is better than no money.

I’ve used CheckPoints1RewardsApp for a while and it USED to be a 4/5 star app. Lately, it’s barely a 2 star. When I check-in now I get maybe 1 or 2 check-ins out of 6. I have contacted them over and again. I always get the same answer- log out and back in if that doesn’t work delete and re-download. I do these things and it might work or it might not (did not the last 2 times… it looks like it’s gonna work, but does the check-in and doesn’t reward the points). When it does work, it only lasts about 2wks.

I take surveys sometimes to get extra points. Not only will it show you you can take a survey but of course when you click on the survey is gone. Or my favorite when you are taking a survey and almost done it says that they reached capacity and all those points you wasted your time trying to get you either get 5 points or NONE AT ALL for wasting my time trying to get points. Really need to figure this out it is getting annoying when you want to try to reach a goal of a gift card but you can never do surveys. I have tried the surveys for a week straight just to see if I will get the points and out of over 50 surveys I have not.

That’s what CheckPoints1RewardsApp will report as their technology can’t differentiate dates, amounts, or repeat purchases (on clearly different dated receipts). When your receipts do go through, it’s a decent app. When it thinks it’s a duplicate, well, it gets frustrating. Reporting it is of no use as I have (that process is tedious) and haven’t received a reply from the last couple times I tried and CheckPoints1RewardsApp hasn’t been fixed to tell that my receipts are different from those previously submitted….. fix the bugs please!

I never write reviews on apps, ever. I always test out the smallest increment on the rewards to see if they work, and CheckPoints1RewardsApp has never failed to send the reward in less than a weeks time. They noticed the issue with IOS 11 and immediately sent an email a few days later. They seem to answer any questions I have, so if your looking for a way to make money whenever you are bored-this is CheckPoints1RewardsApp for you.

I have used CheckPoints1RewardsApp for years and sometimes it is great and works flawlessly and then suddenly it stops working. Latest update doesn’t give points when you check in anymore which is a huge letdown. Also as someone stated earlier it says you get points for receipts. That is misleading. Sometimes you get points and sometimes you get coins to play a game of chance. Often you have to delete app and reinstall for it to work properly for some reason.

This would probably be a decent app if it worked correctly. I do not receive points for checking into stores. Called customer service and they could not fix the issue. I asked them to delete all of my personal information as I would be deleting CheckPoints1RewardsApp from my phone since it didn’t work correctly. 12 months later I thought I would check to see if my personal info was still in CheckPoints1RewardsApp and guess what? After confirming that they would delete all of my personal info, it was all still there. Not very good customer service

I had use CheckPoints1RewardsApp before and had no problems until a couple months ago wen it decided to say I broke a rule and take a lot of the points I had gotten from days washing videos alone and testing my luck with scratch offs but it's ok I guess the barcode didn't reed correctly because now I'm banned for that part but I still love CheckPoints1RewardsApp I wish it gave me back the points it took away I was going to get a $10 gift card but now I'll go for a $1 one

I’d give them 5 stars but I CONSISTENTLY get “this looks like a duplicate” even though it’s not a previously submitted receipt. There is no recourse to have them reviewed. I could literally walk out of a store, enter a receipt and 15-20% of the time it will give me the duplicate error.

Other than that one gripe I’d say CheckPoints1RewardsApp is easy to use, has decent rewards, and gives you a variety of ways to earn points.

I just sent a customer support ticket this morning about an extremely long 4-week wait time on my rewards redemption (my fault since I forgot to input my information)

They got it to me within 13 minutes after sending the ticket!

There are too many bugs though and whenever I try to click a store I’m close to, it pulls up an ad but I don’t get any check-in rewards. This has been going for about 3 months now

It takes forever to get enough points for a $10 gift card. The drive by points, you need to wait at least a minute between tapping the link. I live in a rural area so I can drive miles with no stores and they are in a cluster so by the time it allows me to click on another store I’m passed them. The max of 14 points is ridiculous. And the in store items are usually not stocked where I shop. Especially the liquor/wine items, as they’re not sold in grocery stores in MN. I use other apps and have earned $150 faster than I’ve earned $10 on this one.

It takes a while to make money on it but it’s still good just saving receipts or finding receipts on the ground making money is great I love CheckPoints1RewardsApp this is the first app I started with and I would recommend it to anybody because it’s guaranteed to make money just not as fast as people want it it’s never easy making any kind of money on any app or anything

CheckPoints1RewardsApp works. You do you make money using it however it uses a great deal of your phone battery (or any device battery) it often screens you out or does not reward you after you have completed the survey which can be frustrating and time-consuming but I do you make about five dollars per week.

I’ve been using CheckPoints1RewardsApp a long time. You do get gift cards! The updates keep making it worse. The location part used to be very few points but, there were lots of them. When you were at the location you received those points. Now you see 20 points then get a message saying no more points. Sometimes the scans don’t give you points. I will keep using CheckPoints1RewardsApp for now because I also use Shopkicks, I get points both places.

Kind of hard to take surveys. But it does allow me to check into the stores I’m going to/Shopping at. When you turn in your points you get a gift card pretty much instantaneously. You’re not going to make thousands but at the same time if you’re already Going shopping. Why not me a couple extra dollars when you can.

From the time I downloaded CheckPoints1RewardsApp I have enjoyed it. I have made quite a lot of money from using CheckPoints1RewardsApp . However there has been a change that I have noticed. The scans go away quickly and you don’t get many drive by points anymore. That’s my only complaint. It’s a fun and easy way to make extra spending money.

I have reinstalled CheckPoints1RewardsApp over and over again. I try to get the 20 pointers. I click on a store. I have to wait for the little guy to disappear. Then I have to close CheckPoints1RewardsApp and reopen it and wait for the 20 point store screen to appear. Then I have to click on the X in the corner before I get the points. Getting points for items isn’t easy either. I scan a upc and have to wait for it to say E2 timed out. The I click on the X and the screen goes gray. Then I have to close and reopen CheckPoints1RewardsApp to get the points.

I moved to the middle of nowhere a few years back. Even in the city area where there’s chain stores CheckPoints1RewardsApp didn’t work even when it recognized the store,&location nothing would scan. I did the check ins whenever I could. Had a few hundred points and had to get a new phone,same iTunes and everything plus I logged in with my email,& password. My account was reset to zero,and there’s no way to contact support.
