I love this app, they always have whatever parts or supplies I need; but for being an electronics company, their app is among the worst I’ve ever had the displeasure of using.

The UI is incredibly buggy, things like having to tap below the button I’m trying to press, or having to add or remove search filters multiple times before it actually applies. But what really does it for me, is that half the time I try to add an item to my cart, it gives me a pop up that says something along the lines of “we’ve encountered an error, please try again later”. Furthermore, I haven’t been able to create or add anything to a wishlist.

The final straw was earlier today, I had had enough and deleted then redownloaded DigiKey . I figured I’d log in again and hopefully I can at least have a wishlist to add to. But nope! It won’t even let me sign in! It says something like “this account is pending and should be processed in 24 hours” EVEN THOUGH I’VE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR WEEKS!

I may be a small fry when compared to companies buying in bulk, but I will no longer buy from this app until they fix this godawful app.

Everything about my previous review (preserved below) has been wiped out in this latest update that seems to want to emulate a crappy mobile website instead of a full-featured GUI that worked great. Why oh why do people feel the need to "fix" what's not broken? I can't even login anymore.

Excellent user interface design makes it easy to navigate. Lots of info available about the parts, and the iOS version doesn't lose a lot of what's presented on the desktop version. In fact, it's better in one important respect: You can easily move stuff between shopping carts,

It would be nice to more easily send data sheet PDFs to another app. I keep my data sheet collection in GoodReader, and there isn't any "Send To..." option for that app when I look at saved data sheets. Also, perhaps you could extract a more meaningful title from the data sheet PDF to display in the list of data sheets.

Otherwise, DigiKey is pretty much perfect and its quality has probably resulted in a few hundred dollars worth of extra parts orders on my part.

DigiKey won’t let me sign in. I already had a account and customer number from Digi-Key. It repeatedly tells me wrong password when I can sign in with NO issues on the website. I hope they make this better because Digi-Key is my favorite parts store and DigiKey is completely unusable.

After filling my cart and going to check out, I tried to login first only to see my cart cleared. Fortunately logging out restored my cart, but forced me to enter all my personal information again. Now, writing this review, I’m getting a white font on white background so I have no ideas how many typos there are. App was better 3 years ago.

DigiKey is pretty handy when making a parts list for a project. Would be extremely useful if this app could add a parts cross reference/substitution feature. Always wind up having to buy obsolete parts from Chinese suppliers with questionable quality.

Crashes quite a bit. And so many errors keep popping up when I try to do things like edit shipping address or update cart qty.

Digi-Key is great. Just wish they would put more thought into making their app more usable.

This used to be a great app. Now it has been dumbed down to the point where it is painful for anybody whose primary purpose is to research and buy components. It also gives spurious error messages. With every update it keeps getting worse.

It has significantly reduced the amount I buy from this app. My time is sufficiently valuable that I buy from whoever causes me the least pain. This shouldn’t be a race to the bottom.

DigiKey isn’t perfect but it’s worked well enough. There have been a few instances where items haven’t loaded their add to cart / quantity sections. Additionally searching for items is a bit clumsy and many categories are lost in misleading drop-down menus. That being said, this app has never had the most stellar user experience design. So, I’m overall happy with DigiKey .

Updating my review: previously I’d mentioned that the earlier version was glitchy and the checkout process was confusing. The latest version improves things to the point that I’m happy to give this 4 stars now. All the iPhone 12 UI glitches are gone, and the ordering process is much improved - no more “did that actually go through” moments. Great response from the developers!

DigiKey is great, but one feature I’m really missing from the web interface is the ability to filter out all the products that have large MOQ. I often sort by unit price low to high, and it’s a huge pain to have all the low unit priced items get in the way due to their MOQ being in the thousands. Being able to view items as they are priced at a user-defined quantity (like 10 or 100) is really essential in the mobile app, and it already exists in the web interface. Thanks for the great work!

Digi-Key is a no-nonsense, rapid response one stop shop for electronic parts. They’ve got spec sheets too. What a fantastic resource, and there’s an app for that! I’m no stooge, just a happy customer!! I highly recommend Digi-Key; they’re much friendlier than Newark, too.

Just make it easier to remove items in a cart instead of making a new cart to select a certain item to purchase.

This is a delightful intuitive app to use that doesn’t feel like a re-branded web page. Thought and effort have gone into making it

I even had a small problem with DigiKey , wrote a review detailing the issue, and the devs fixed the problem!

I wish all companies would be as thoughtful when making app versions of their web page

DigiKey is very good especially now that you can add components to your favorites list. Before, you could only add to favorites on the full web site. Excellent improvement.

So nice to whip out my iPhone, open app and search for my parts. No more post it notes on notepads getting lost or forgotten where. Shipping is reasonable and so are prices for what these items are. Can’t run down to Walmart and pick this stuff up ya know.

I’ve been using the this app app for about two months and find the search functionality fantastic, filtering options are plentiful, and the speed of DigiKey is awesome. Thanks for a great product!!

When I found Digi-Key I was literally overwhelmed with joy finally having all the tech I could want in the palm of my hand thank u so much lol.

Digi-Key has excellent customer service and DigiKey makes purchasing electronics through them even more convenient!

DigiKey was really done right. It is actually very useful, especially compared to Mouser’s nightmare of an app.
