I use this app a lot for finding fanarts or just art in general because you can find all sort of different artists and it’s great. You can use tags but it’ll be cool if your able to use two tags at a time. pixiv version also seems to be shallow compare to the website version, which in my opinion is better to navigate and has way more stuff but lags alot for me. Rather then getting notifications for when a user goes live it’ll be a cool if there is a notification for when a user post? I’m not sure whenever there’s a feature like this. It’s also really unfair to have to pay to get stuff that shouldn’t be locked in order to pay (see search history, popular art) it’s already available in other art platforms so why must people pay to see those things on this app? Other then that I don’t really have a issue with this app

This is a great app but it feels like it’s in the shadow of its website counterpart. For and example the website your able to send request which is their newest feature. The problem is that if you use pixiv your unable to send a request or even know who accepts request unless you go to the website. This isn’t the only feature that isn’t on pixiv but the one I’m using as an example. The thing is that if these feature are apart of this app premium then that isn’t fair to the people who can’t afford it at the moment. So what they could do is limit the function but if that isn’t the case then it would be great if they add some of the features from the website to pixiv so it could stand on par with the website.

There a couple that I can mention but the most noteworthy one would be the fact that you need premium to view what is essentially just a trending tab. You can’t look at the popular tab which isn’t beneficial to anyone, even the artist. If the artist makes it to the popular section most people can’t even go and check on their art which just hurts the artist more than benefit them because they’re not getting as much viewership as the likely could. The fact that you need to pay a fee to view what’s trending is just a major flaw on pixiv ’s design and shouldn’t have been implemented in the first place, I don’t mind most of the perks of premium but this is just very unnecessary and should be something everyone has access to, not to only premium users

Given that this is a Japanese platform that’s being translated into English, for me it works spectacularly.
My one little issue I run into is on a post of multiple images, I want to be able to skip through them to the bottom easier, so I can see the tags and profile.
I would also like to be able to see more than three of an artist’s works when they are recommend to me, on the website you can swipe through all of an artists work when they are recommended, I would to see this replicated on pixiv .

And I mean better all around inside and outside pixiv . Haven't experienced any huge slowdowns, crashes, or unresponsiveness when interacting.

Being able to support more adult content, this is during the tumblr meltdown of flagging everything as nsfw to be nuked or banned mind you, where dA is wishy-washy more dependent on the mod is a plus too. Artists and writers have distinct separate categories that work too, rather than everything getting the same looking thumbnail.

A great app for finding fan art and following your favorite artists, but there is a HUGE "r-18", or pornographic content base, so be aware of this if your kids use it. There is a filtering option available, but it is easily disabled. If you yourself use it for this content (I won't judge!), be aware that pixiv is Japan-based, and they have no laws against artistic depictions of children in sexual situations, and such content IS ACCESSIBLE AND PREVALENT on pixiv and its base site. Most states in the US have very strict laws against such content, even those depicting fictional characters, and having such content on your phone or computer can be a huge legal risk.

I’ve been on this app for a couple months, and it’s been.. fine. I’m not going on here again, I just want to state some things.

First, the child p\rn and r//pe art just freely allowed on this site is gross and it has made my experience awful. I don’t want to log on and see art that is along these lines. Even if I block, or don’t want it recommended, it still shows up. And it is highly illegal in places, which is another reason.

Second, difficultly searching and looking at tags. I’m not going to talk about this too much, hence I’m not aware whether you can fix it or not. But whenever I search something up, it either just doesn’t show or shows something completely different.

Third, you have to pay to see things you shouldn’t have to pay for. Like history. It’s very unnecessary and feels like a cash grab.

Not all, but somewhat half of it. I enjoyed the first week or so of it, but it got bad. If you can avoid the first and or second issue, it won’t be that bad.

It’s actually nicer than the website for me. It’s nice and clear and smooth. I like being able to see all the pictures all together with one click instead of having to technically open the picture set twice. The only issue I have is that since it’s not in pages, when I go deep diving in a character or tag, I lose my place. So I have to scroll for a while to find where I was. I would like a save my place feature or a pages feature that I can easily find where I was. Then it would be perfect for me. :)

The viewer portion of pixiv is absolutely wonderful, you can see all kinds of different fanarts and even original characters people have created. However, as an artist, and as someone that would like to let there work be seen. There just isn’t enough ways to let your stuff be seen. I’ve posted several things and after months they still only had maybe 25 people see it. I feel like this is a major downfall, unless this were to change when you buy the premium portion of this. And even then having to pay to get your work seen is sort of sucky :/

I usually write reviews to say good things but for pixiv I have to complaint. Believe me, it's good once you're in but logging in is a whole odyssey. I've been trying to log in since this afternoon and all it says is: "an error has occurred", not even a "your password is wrong" or "check your I'd again" so I went and changed the password and the website did let me log in but once I tried to log in in pixiv the error message popped up again. And I've deleted pixiv twice and it says "get" not the typically download again cloud icon, I don't know if that is too important though, but please, if I can get some help with my issue please.

To be completely honest, even though the majority of the content creators on pixiv post in languages other than English, it is still very easy to learn and traverse pixiv and view some of the most astonishing art around (Usually art with anime vibes and themes). Nonetheless I feel everyone should give pixiv a chance and give credit where it is due, because a lot of the creators on pixiv put their heart into their work and it shows!

this app is a wonderful platform for all kinds of art. However, pixiv just seems to be missing some features that are present on the website. It would be great if these could be added! Also, not being able to see popular works without Premium is kinda dumb in my opinion. I understand this app needs to make money in order to, well, exist, but this just seems like a really weird thing to paywall.

Anytime you’re looking for pictures (mainly anime pictures) you can download pixiv, it’s really easy to use and you can find some really good art from different people, and there’s so much of it! So if you’re looking for some anime/manga, and pictures, this is the place to go... they're also high quality)

pixiv makes browsing the website just easier whenever you’re on the goo or in your own home. The art that come from the artists are fine too. Aside from the good. It is tougher to get a specific search that you want unless you pay for their subscription service they have on the website.

Aside form that I say it is pretty good overall

It’s pretty user-friendly, but I’d appreciate it if notifications worked? I’m only ever notified of someone liked a submission, but I never know if someone wrote a comment/bookmarked my art unless I manually check. Also, there’s no option to save particular tags in the search bar, in comparison to the desktop version! It would be nice to include it! 😊

this app is a website where u can bookmark great art or upload your own it is mostly hentai art but some of it is amazing and your art can be saved and commented on and added to favorites by many others and liked and u can be added as a favorite artist too I truly recommend exploring this app

pixiv has amazing content from artists all over. Best part is you can give them your support 💯 there is a wide variety of content and there’s something for everyone, so let your imagination soar. Creativity and freedom of expression is what this amazing app has to offer. I highly recommend it. 💯

pixiv has mostly great art but there is some stuff on pixiv the is disgusting and awful, I find it quite disgusting how some people actually find time in their day to draw awful things and people like it. I’m not going to go into detail but I’ve seen torture on multiple occasions on pixiv and it’s very unsettling, and as I said there is great art, there’s also an awful and quite depressing side as well I’ve uninstalled pixiv because of these images they have mentally scared me.

A lot of my favorite artists use this website and sometimes I try to browse, but it is difficult due to needing premium to even look at a piece of popular artwork, whereas you can take a long route to search the same artwork away from pixiv , which is really annoying.

Ever since this app allowed for English translation of tags, I’ve been using pixiv more and more. My Japanese isn’t perfect, so I sometimes have to throw a few terms through a translator, but otherwise, this app is a great place to search for art.

My only complaint is that pixiv crashes more than I’d like. But aside from that, an excellent app, better than previous versions.

I just wish there are English translations of the comics and language so I could understand better. But all in all I’m able to favorite various artworks of my favorite characters and series!

However, it’s best to use this on mobile. There is literally only one tag we can block... I need to block problematic ships drawn by the users so I won’t get uncomfortable despite them being fictional.

This makes pixiv very enjoyable for people like me who aren't very familiar with the Japanese language. Not all tags are translated and some translations are rough, but it's much better than nothing. It's something I've been enjoying on the desktop site so I'm very happy that it's in pixiv now.
