I have used AccountTracker for a few months. I still love it. But the sync function seems to have slowed in the last few days. Since the slowing of the sync function it has become less useful for me. I still like AccountTracker but will have play with it and reevaluate things.

Update: I raised the rating as I have determined that my sync problems are a result of Dropbox not maintaining a connection.

I have been using AccountTracker for 3 years. It is simple enough to put all the transactions every other day or so. I can see how much I spend each month on different categories (car, groceries, eating out, leisure, etc. - every category I created myself).

It helps me save money, it does a great job to show how much money you have in all your accounts and cash combined. It works great with many currencies (I travel a lot and I have accounts in 4 different currencies). It has many little details that indicates AccountTracker developer actually use his app himself and makes effort to improve it where it needs.

I couldn’t wish for a better app.

I went thru several versions of personal finance trackers and a lot of them had merit, but usually ended up not being intuitive or easy to manipulate. I like account tracker because entering a transaction makes sense, the only categories are the ones you put there, instead of making you scroll thru all of them you type a few letters and usually the one you want comes to the top, it will also give you a list of recently used categories. Inputting and editing recurring charges is the best I've come across, all recurring transactions have their own menu where you can browse thru them and edit one, all, or one transaction and all future ones from that point. There aren't a bunch of pointless menus you have to go thru every time you enter something so it's easier to enter things on the fly. Bottom line I've tried a few different apps, then I found this one. I don't think I'll be looking for a new one any time soon.

This is a great app for tracking kids' money. My kids earn virtual money for good behavior, so when they ask for something at the store, I just pull out AccountTracker and see if they have any credit. I can enter transactions as they make them, transfer credit between kids, see everyone's accounts in one place, etc. It's perfect for my needs--even better than the apps that are specifically dedicated to kids' accounts (which often lack the ability to make kid-to-kid transfers).

The developer is great. When I had a question about how to accomplish a certain goal within AccountTracker , I got a VERY quick, helpful response. I wish all app developers were as attentive to and concerned about their users.

I love AccountTracker! It is intuitive and so easy to use and it prints reports. I'm 76 years old and had been using Quicken on a computer for many years to keep up with our checking account. It provided yearly reports that I could easily print and give to CPA for tax purposes. For a couple years now I have been using an iPad for everything except keeping up with my checkbook. I would play around with every app I could find searching for a replacement for Quicken. After using the Account Tracker basic for just four days, I am happy to say it will do everything I need! And, Support is so fast and thorough. They respond almost before you have time to switch from the Contact place in AccountTracker to your email. I say again, I love AccountTracker!

I hail from the world of Quickbooks and AccountTracker as close at it gets for a personal finance app. It has tons of features, pretty intuitive, and the updates keeping coming. Very rarely is there a bug or at least one that I have encountered. Graham actually communicates with his customers, even if it is a stupid question that is covered in his excellent tutorial (not that I have done it).

I have around 100 apps that I have downloaded and this is the one I know is always going to work and help me see where I need to cut the spending.

I have to keep meticulous records with my job and AccountTracker makes the boring and mundane quick and painless.

The best is the quick backup process with Dropbox integration. With his current update he left us with a short plug for possible iCloud device syncing in the future. It also now has iCloud backup integration.

Like I said, this product is constantly evolving, if you have an issue Graham personally responds, I think he is OCD or maybe just understands excellent customer service!

Obviously I like App, so just pay the few small bills it costs cause you won't find anything better for the price!

My deepest apologies to AccountTracker developer for my previous one-star rating. I'm amending it to 5-stars formally because that's all I can do. I'd go much higher if I could.

AccountTracker has everything I want: account categories, spending categories, ability to copy transactions, ability to set up repeat categories, and reporting. (I think it syncs across devices according to descriptions, but I haven't tried that yet).

I first tried to set it up on my phone, and I think that caused me to not see what was clearly visible on the tablet. The developer contacted me to correct me -- telling me AccountTracker could do what I needed it to do. Then tried it on my iPad, and thus a change in my review... AccountTracker is simply and fully terrific. To those dithering, commit! It's worth twice the price to keep up-to-date on your financial position.

Prior to finding AccountTracker and the product / service Graham offers, I had spent a lot of money (not budgeted) on other types of budgeting software over many, many years. Having AccountTracker on my phone & Tablet sync seamlessly and operate exactly as I found best to match my needs for keeping an eye on my money/accounts. Customer service by Graham is even better than the product...he goes above and beyond what is required/expected for customer service. He makes time and personally reaches out to his users when issues arise or when suggestions come in. I don’t know how he continues to do what he does. I have never experienced this kind of service. Graham is constantly making improvements / enhancements to Account Tracker. Thanks Graham I really appreciate what you do for me and tracking my money.

For our family's purposes, AccountTracker. has been very useful and is practically used daily. It's pretty convenient to have one app. to keep track of various balances on and within multiple Checking / Savings accounts, including children's accounts. We have started to budget detailedly using another app., and AccountTracker. has helped a great deal with organizing everything in terms of distributing funds within an account; e.g., how much of the total balance goes to certain budgets paid by such account. Yes, it can be time-intensive inputting data, but once we firm up our budget, most of these line items will be automated to where we can just check off balances periodically. AccountTracker . is very easy to use and configure Categories or Sub-categories too. Overall, we love this productivity app. because of its simplicity and efficiency of use.

I had been using Pocket Money since my Palm days (and before that, MS Money on the PC, and before that, Quicken). Pocket Money kept giving me hard time backing up, and now I can't seem to back up locally at all because Mac OS will no longer work with SyncDocs. My only remaining choices were all to back up online. I don't like that option.
Thank goodness I found Account Tracker. It's lacking a few of the refinements I had gotten used to (the only significant one being negative splits in transactions, like with deductions in a paycheck), and I realized I can get along without recording my paycheck deductions.
I prefer Account Tracker's manual input to that of my old app. It's actually smoother. I don't think Account Tracker imports transactions from banks, but fortunately I'd gotten out of the habit of doing that, because that, too, had always given me a hard time. It handles reconciling just fine. The most critical feature is that I can once again back up locally!!

Update, been using this since 2011. At the beginning also using quicken essentials. And today I'm trying to understand how anyone that knows how to read.. Could say AccountTracker is anything but the best. And I repeat.. If you just need simple every day expense/income tracking, this is it. By now AccountTracker might be able to do more but I haven't looked into it. Simple bank Acc.'s, credit cards and loans. Is what I use it for. And there is nothing better. Before you judge it. Read and try the support if you don't find the answer... It will surprise you.

Thank you to the developer. This looks like the best possibility for a quicken essentials replacement. Been looking for over a year and I think I finally found it. Just got AccountTracker today and already in love with it. Yes it needs features. But for your everyday banking, cash and credit card management is the best so far. Can't wait for the desktop version.

One more update and still a satisfied customer. Now also using it on my iPad.

It was so hard for me to find a checkbook app that was both simple and feature-rich. AccountTracker strikes that balance beautifully. No unnecessary frills, but all of the functionality that I need.

Syncing between all my devices is a breeze (iPhone, iPad, and 2 MacBook Pros). I view and edit on all of these devices and have never had any issues.

I can also tell that the developer takes pride in his work. This isn’t an app that was made 5 years ago and never touched since. It is constantly maintained and improved upon. Well done!

I highly recommend giving AccountTracker a try if you’re looking for a well made checkbook app. The subscription cost is almost nothing, and you also get a free trial to try it out.

Love your app. In its current state it works well for what I'm doing, but I have some suggestions. I use this program to track income and spending to multiple clients very similar to how a casino may track its players, as well as track overall profit/loss in regard to those individuals. If my "details" are people and not line items, would it be possible to update the program to provide report data for each individual person (including when and what they paid in, when and what was paid out to them, net individual profit/loss)? I'd basically just like to be able to have data readily available on each individual. As it is now, I can see "John Doe" as a line on an income report, and "John Doe" as a line on a spending report, but to figure his net profit/loss, I need to manually do the math. Also, some people get lumped into the "others combined" field and I have no way to calculate them individually. Is there a way this could be incorporated into this, or do you have another program more suited to this application? If so I would be very interested. AccountTracker's quality is top notch, great work!!

I am a 61 year old physician in Dallas and this is the ONLY digital platform I have used for several years. It is intuitive and has ease of entry and alteration. Not sure why everyone doesn't use it!!!! :)

I have been using AccountTracker for at least 3 years now. I can keep track of every purchase, every bill, and unexpected financial issue. AccountTracker also makes me aware of what I'm spending on all the little things that add up real fast if you aren't paying attention.

I gave a 5 star review to a competing program which was very highly rated in AccountTracker Store. But after using it for two months I became dissatisfied with some unfinished features. I am so glad I looked for an alternative and found Account Tracker. I don't understand why Account Tracker is not at the top of the list.
Here are some reasons I love Account Tracker.
-Very pleasing design.
-All entries to nearest dollar, if desired.
-Multiple account groups. Separate or combined net worth. (I can manage personal and business separately.)
-Recurring entries for income and expenses is easy.
-Many well done informative reports.
-View or hide future income and expenses as desired.
-Reconciliation is very easy.
-Entries pick up previous payee, category. Minimize typing.
-Mature program, not work in progress. No bugs.
-Responsive developer (I did not have a problem, just wanted to complement the developer).
I am about to retire and needed a program to give me confidence everything is in order. Account Tracker does this.
Compared to my competing product 5 star review Account Tracker deserves 10 stars.
