I like StarMap3D but just recently it has N/E/S/W direction is off by 180 degrees! StarMap3D is almost worthless with this bug.

Any APP that requires some intrinsic knowledge to use is a fail. Good luck. Using this to resolve what you’re looking at in the night sky is futile. Once I got planets to display and they remained on 3D no mattter the direction you look. Shiite

StarMap3D itself works pretty good. tracking is decent, plenty of data. i wish the time slider was a little more intuitive. there isnt much support for comets or asteroids but thats ok. the bad thing that happened, is that StarMap3D has accessed my calendar and jam packed it with every single upcoming moon phase and astronomical event for the next 1000 years. this wouldn’t be so bad- in fact, it would be pretty neat- if it weren't for the fact that every event was added precisely FOURTEEN TIMES. my calendar is utterly filled with endless identical entries, thereby making it difficult to find other calendar events of mine. furthermore, even after revoking the apps access to the calendar and even deleting StarMap3D altogether, the redundant entries are still there. i would have to go along and delete them manually, one at a time- which would likely take several lifetimes. so, i will have to live with this and be content to be emphatically over informed about every single upcoming and passed astronomical event, for the rest of my natural lifespan

As a non-astrological expert, I can name a handful of stars and planets. StarMap3D is fantastic and teaches you everything you may be seeing in the sky. I say may because of light pollution. I can see where certain stars should be visible but due to all the surrounding light, just aren’t visible to the naked eye. The whole family loves it. You can set alerts for full moon, satellites zooming by, etc. just a great app for those who want to have fun!

Accurate reading of stars

I use StarMap3D almost every night. It is so easy to use. Stargazing is even better when you know what you’re gazing at.

This is the best app I have ever used for space. It is extremely accurate and I always know where things are in the sky! If I could rate above 5 stars I would!

I purchased app from this developer and had a minor bug. They promptly responded to my email and fixed the problem. StarMap3D works great and has really increased my knowledge about what I am seeing. I greatly appreciate the support and the functionality of StarMap3D.

Iv seen other apps that give better pictures but you can move the screen by sliding this one let’s you know the location and by not sliding the screen around let you really get to know stars a little better and how amazing it is that people without today’s technology understood it and StarMap3D lets you do that

It’s most impressive when you’re well out of the range of WiFi or cell coverage. It works with satellites so when you’re in the darkest, deepest woods, the most remote desert, or far out to sea, you still have a detailed map of your sky. I love StarMap3D!

I love StarMap3D! So much better than going to the planetarium. You point and you find. Within seconds of using it I found Jupiter. Looked up in the sky and there it is. Look through my binoculars even saw the moons. Saw many star constellations! I want to visible to us and them all over the entire universe. Works in real time. No Wi-Fi is necessary. You can go in to any date in the last 2000 years. And see how things have changed. There's three different modes. Planetary model uses your own positioning. Then you can use another mold where you can see where every location. I love the 3-D mold. Where are youcan go to any planet including the earth and the moon! And you can see everything from their perspective. Well you can rotate the planets and see the constellations and planets etc, from their perspective. Very accurate. My wife and I went outside using it recently. She loved it it made for a great conversations and intimacy.
