In my opinion, this is false advertisement! A ripoff! This is ridiculous! Nowhere does it tell you cost until you have wasted your time putting in the first 5 receipts! Only 5 free receipts a month allowed, yes or no? I'm confused! A business person has more than 5 receipts a month. After that, yo... Show more u have to pay. You have an app advertised as free, but when it's downloaded you are only allowed 5 downloads then are led to options to pay for app. Why don't you show full disclosure upfront? How can an app like yours have any credibility if you try to trick the consumer? Very very disappointed. 1 star only because it won't accept my comment without selecting a star. Actually it's -1 star from me.

I used ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp all of last year and although it would have bugs on some days, I could deal with it. Contacting developers and told to delete app and reload it. It worked for a day or so and then started its issues.

I would entertain buying an upgrade but if it doesn't work with a free account, I have no faith paying the upgrade will solve its problems. I out to look for something else to track my receipts and sales tax.

I was a super early user of ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp. It went from 99$ a year for 4 years to 130$ last year to $144 this year. I have to enter some details like amount but I actually prefer to that because my receipts are sometimes split deductions and non deductions. I use the free version where I enter the information myself. When I select the date of the receipt in ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp , it doesn't make it to my actual account. I have to select the date for the receipt all over again. Also sometimes I can see all of my receipts in ShoeboxedReceiptScanne... Show more rApp , sometimes I can see some of them, and sometimes I get a completely blank page...none of them show. It is, however, reliable for sending the receipt image to my account so far. But that seems to be all it's good for.

Let me say that shoeboxed’s service is EXCELLENT, they pick up the phone unlike many other expense apps and they aren’t outsourced to someone you can’t understand which is huge. In order for me to use this service I have to go to the office or jump through hoops adding a receipt as multiple expenses and then merging them together in the web app all while going against my monthly total for something that is 1 receipt. Please please please add multi page support for ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp !

I have used ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp for a few years but last year or was several months before I had to stop manually changing the mileage rate to the IRS rate. Why isn’t the default automatically changed? Would also like to have mileage info more consolidated for end of year tax purposes-a ton... Having actual mileage and not just the cost is what I need (especially since it was well into the year last year before I realized you didn’t update the rate!). I’ve been very loyal and like this for keeping receipts but mileage needs to be simpler for me to continue to use.

Overall, this is fine. I would appreciate an archive function or automatically marking that something has been exported. It would great if you could tag items more than one at a time. I like being able to import all the data into a spreadsheet and immediately jump to receipts. When I photocopy them on a scanner bed it’s hard to quickly find what I need but with this you can click on the name and jump right to the receipt. Shoeboxed has come a long way over the years. I really appreciate the simple interface. However if you're looking for a basic recipe tracker I am not sure if this is it. Love the option to mail in receipts and have Brit team enter the data for you. Love the gasoline sync feature. It's pretty awesome just a bit much for the every day user.

Overall I’m happy with this service. ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp has a few bugs, and the website is quirky, but it generally works ok. For each receipt submitted, Shoeboxed inputs all the information from each receipt and remembers how you want to categorize receipts from a given store. For anyone who has too much to do and never enough time this is a godsend! My tax prep team loved the reports and desktop options. They are recommending to all their starter uppers! Just one tweak that would help-the save to shoebox from texts isn’t working. It opens ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp but still requires me to upload the image to my photo gallery. Not a big deal just extra steps you seem to be trying to edit out... I am eager to see that feature work.

I recently started my own business and having the ability to snap a picture of my receipts and have the organized by different expense categories makes my life a lot easier. And with the ability to integrate with with my accounting software is fantastic.

I use ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp for my businesses every day; I have a larger plan. Mileage tracker has issues. I like the simplicity of ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp . Just downloaded ShoeboxedReceiptScannerApp – it was easy and intuitive to use and the picture comes out great of your receipt! I wanted something to keep track of all my receipts instead of stuffing them into my wallet! I tend to keep receipts for up to a year in the event that anything ever neede... Concerns I have are simply whether stores will except a digital receipt in lieu of paper original. Time will tell.

I want to love it but cannot.
It loses receipts and is kind of confusing to use. The feature for recognizing receipts in my inbox does not work- I have to forward them.
There should be a warning sent when an item did not get processed somehow.
I had some free time ( rare as a business owne... Show more r) and scrolled through trying to see what had been processed and also looking for lost receipts for my rent.
I found a receipt from early Feb that said “error in processing” or something like that.
I don’t have that much time to go back and make sure it got processed. Luckily I had the receipt and re-entered it. I guess I cannot throw out receipts until I check to make sure they went through that is time consuming.
At least my banker boxes are emptying out. It’s more time to file and check to make sure it got filed but eventually, you don’t have to have a garage to store your business receipts.

There are definitely consistency issues. It has yet to be a smooth process. I am constantly having to reopen a receipt and add some bit of information for a second time as it never saved.
