Tracking and reconciling this app is one of the worst parts of accounting and it hasn’t worked properly in Wave right from the start and it’s still the same. I’ve been reading bad reviews about this issue for over a year and it’s still the same. Clearly it’s a bug that’s not being tended to. Therefore I will most likely be switching from Wave to something else. Wish it wasn’t the case!

I have over 900 this app from 2018 on wave. I went to try to get a report of all my receipt to file taxes and none of my this app that I uploaded moved over to the report. Show more en with support for hours and they said I need to resubmit even though they see every receipt and information under purchase>this app and that they can not move that information to report. Clearly they do not have the software engineers to fix this issue which would be solved by just populating the information they ALREADY HAVE to report. They can’t even simply do that. Total waste of hours to redo my 950 this app. They don’t own up to the issue and totally of no help.

I took photos of about six this app and Receipts didn’t/couldn’t fill in any info about any of them - merchant, date, amount, etc. - automatically. And I also read here, in another review, that this app doesn’t match these photographed this app to transactions in my Wave account. Rather it adds each of them as a new transaction, creating duplicates. Sounds like some rethinking on Wave’s part is in order. And/or clearer instructions?

After reading several reviews, I downloaded Receipts to try. First off, you have to log into the website to set up an account. The issue with this, was that I wanted to use this for personal receipt tracking, not business related. In order to create an account, you must enter a business name. I do... Show more n’t have a business. I used my name for that part. You can hide the business part of this program on the website, however, it wouldn’t let me. I tried to do it three times. Also, when I entered a receipt on Receipts , it said it was done, but then the receipt didn’t show up. Not impressed with Receipts. I finally just deleted the entire account.

You’re app is very slow. The scan and recognition could be better, but it’s decent. What I can’t stand is waiting forever to do anything when I open Receipts . I also am frustrated that I can’t split transactions on reviewing a purchase/receipt. This makes it almost useless as most of my purchases tend to be Wal-Mart/dollar General type places where I purchase goods from multiple categories. So I either have to wait until I have time to login to change stuff or just choose not to categorize correctly.

After taking a picture of my receipt, in the category search category section I typed Cash, expense, credit card but it did nothing, no results came up & I couldn’t save the category I wanted & typed in. And without a category you can’t add the receipt to accounting. Frustrating! Then there... I've been using Wave for about 1 month, and the online version has been wonderful to use. I thought Receipts would make receipt uploads easier; however, I noticed that when I uploaded the this app via Receipts (and moved them into the approved category) they did not show up under the transaction... Also, I noticed that the this app would not process for a long time, so I had to manually process the this app in order to approve them (input all the data into the fields that are supposed to automatically fill in).

My final note is that when I was manually filling in the receipt data and clicked on the receipt picture to view it, I saw nothing but a blank screen (not due to slow internet). The receipt image would not load, which means I still needed the paper receipt in order to input the correct data. Not bad if you still have the receipt in your hand, but it's a pain if you don't have the receipt easily accessible.

I just started using this program to scan in a year’s worth of this app. I wish it had memory capabilities so that when you type in the same company over and over, we could just type the first three letters and it would fill in the rest. Same is true with entering dates. It would make it much easi... Show more er if it at least retained the month and year of your last entry when you add a new one. These time saving tips would really help. One more thing, allowing the user to “hide” categories that will never apply to ones business would be very helpful.

Part of the simplicity of the program is to be able to read a simple receipt and file accordingly, which it did a year ago...a few times. I am a small business/sólo owner so Wave accounting has been extremely beneficial. However I was looking for a seamless way to submit my this app along with my invoice. I thought Receipts would sync my this app with my invoice through wave. But they do not sync. It would be optimal if I could se... The wave desktop and mobile versions have fit my needs perfectly at least for my first month.

The limitation of Receipts is twofold. First it only lets use take pictures. I have so many electronic this app and wish there was a screenshot feature. Secondly, this creates an entirely new line in Wave, which you later have to Merge with the bank transaction. This can be time consuming to manu... Show more ally merge (wish it were smarter) and also make you lose data as you end up categorizing two times essentially. I actually quit using this after awhile because I find it too tedious, and now I just have a huge scanned folder of this app for backup if needed and only use the Wave Transactions.

Solid effort, almost there. Still beta. The UI is great, photoing this app works reasonably well. Downsides: this app do not necessarily upload immediately. Show more pers assigned the CV stuff to AWS recognition through a lambda function, the processing would be faster. I haven’t seen anything else to gripe about. From a fellow developer, what you have done here is great: keep going.

Really like the software and is good for what it does except would like to make the review process faster. All I need it for is to track the merchant and total. The review requires us to choose a payment account and category. Would like to see this auto captured since it is already doing an OCR or ... Show more make it optional.

OCR know the merchant and should be able to have a shared database to know the merchant type or user can overwrite.

An easier workflow can be to give us a list of this app to review with: merchant, total, radio list of payment accounts, and auto filled category. We can then quickly select each and submit all in one shot. If we manually change the category, save it to the local database so it remembers how to categorize in the future.

I really Receipts and it saves me a lot of work and worry about keeping my expenses for tax purpose. I will love it even better if the developers just add some type of option to show on a display where the expenses go. Something like a pie chart. Please add a pie chart or some form of display to ... Show more visually show where the expensive are going and maybe display the total of expenses.
Thank you for the great work and it’s very simple to use and not bloated with unnecessary add-on.
I will definitely rate it five with the requested option.

I can scan the invoice and the receipt gets processed BUT the receipt doesn’t show up as image anymore. So no preview of the receipt will be shown and I can’t have a lo... Show more ok at the scanned document for some reason. Please wave apps, you need to get those big bugs out otherwise people will not use it anymore.

Finally, Receipts is up to date and works now perfectly with the newest iOS. I love WaveApps so this will be a nice add on to manage my business.

Please guys, it's March 2017 and still no update? When I want it to use on my 6s it crashes all the time and Receipts isn't even adjusted to the screen size.

Please fix asap!
