I’ve played this game since it was released. Got 5 6-star characters, 7 times of getting 6-star characters. The summon rate of getting 6 stars has never been lower than 60 summons (the game guarantees to give you a 6-star within 70 summons). The only time I get a 6-star character less than 60 summons is when I quit the game temporarily and came back.
Do you really think this is ok? Do you think I’m willing to play this game knowing you are destroying my gaming experience? I’d rather spend money on other games that have some conscience.
My advice is that know you will not be “lucky” in this game, and the summon system is basically a way to trick you to buy more expensive summons. I would say the gaming content, art, and character are great, but know that the summon system is manipulating you to make irrational choices. They want you to feel like you are really close to get what you want, so it is ok to spend unnecessary amount of money. I think it is disgusting for a game to make their players become gamblers. Good luck.

There’s a lot of forced tutorial sections that slow down the pace of the story and makes the game feel annoying to get through and even boring at times. The character designs feel generic and honestly a little boring to look at some times. One of the highs to this game is most certainly the voice acting and the story which takes characters from certain European story’s or world events which in turn makes the story exciting and eventful if you have the context behind the characters, but unfortunately this gets bogged down by the game slamming the breaks between story quest to make you do a tutorial which can be very infuriating after awhile of going through the motions. The gacha system isn’t overly unfair compared to other games on the market but like I said before the character designs are nothing to write home about and can take away from the voice acting at some points in my personal opinion. I realize the game is just coming out and has more planned for the future updates but at this point it still feels incomplete and honestly it drags on much like this crap review, so if you didn’t like reading all the way to the bottom of this you’ll probably have trouble getting through this game.

So, I've played ever since the server launched in global, and this game is very amazing, fun, and unique! But.. I fear for the future of this game with what's going on with things so far. It's becoming boring and repetitive with just logging in for a few minutes to do dailies, and trying to beat limbo mode and failing only to log off for the rest of the day or until stamina refills. We can't summon much in this game, and I feel like portraits will at this rate have a bigger impact in the future than they should as long as people who are f2p struggle to even get a limited character. The gacha rates arent the best at all. I would love to see this game shine and improve over time, but I don't think I will play any longer if this keeps going and gets worse for f2p players especially.
Edit: I changed it to 2 stars from 4 stars. I uninstalled the game a month ago and it just got so boring and it started to feel like a chore to log on everyday just for dailies. I also absolutely dislike the fanbase for this game as it's full of perversions. Even the game talks about s*xual things and has characters in really inappropriate outfits! I loved the game for months ever since it launched globally but this is definitely a game I would advise anyone to stay away from.

From the start when i had first downloaded the game, i loved the art and characters and storyline. it was absolutely perfect, but it did take time for me to build and grind for materials, such as for insight and levels. but after literally a week of playing i was reported for melware/hacking, for absolutely no reason. mind you, i have zero idea on hacking knowledge, and not to mention as a student, i have a D- in coding. but that's besides the point. i emailed their support email and team, 12 times. no response. i even sent them screenshots of the rules and my explanation on how it all went down. just so you know... once i find you this app: 1999 team, its going down. i wasted $120 on pulls, and then got banned. please respond to my emails or i will actually go banana's. you unruly banned my account til JUNE. JUNE 31ST OF 2024. WHAT THE FREAK. I ONLY KNEW THIS BECAUSE I HAD TO GET MY GIRLFRIEND TO CALCULATE YOUR CONFUSING TIME FRAMES. anyways, if you dont respond to my emails in a timely fashion like i have jsut said in the past few paragraphs, get ready for a lawsuit and a fee.

The game is very pretty (but you probably need a larger phone to really appreciate it, as a lot of text is a bit too small on iPhone mini). The gameplay is ok, yet another twist on the same formula that countless other games have. I have not played enough to say much about how difficult/expensive it is to get characters to high levels, and probably won’t. The main problem for me is a story which is ok at macro level but rather nonsensical in the details, and an absolutely terrible, probably machine generated, English translation (you have enough money to have voice acting, but not to have a native English speaker proof-read the text? Really?)
They are obviously trying to imitate games like Arknights in how the story goes, but failing rather spectacularly at that. So if you have a larger phone, and prefer to skip through cutscenes, it may be a game for you, otherwise there are many better options.

Everything was going great despite the long dialogues with a very complicated story, (that’s alright, I can overlook those 2 things) but I just came across upgrading Eternity’s insight for the very first time and thought “great now I’ll be able to increase max cap to 40”, but what a surprise it was that instead of the character staying at 30/40cp and having to increase 10cp more to get to 40, the character went back to 1/40 instead, now I have to upgrade her again all the way to 40, and then when I upgrade the insight again I bet it’ll go back to 1/50 again, and so on……..I don’t think it’s worth it given the resources that will be needed to fully upgrade a single character… I doubt I will continue playing but if that reset cp problem gets fixed I might get back on it.

As far as quality and game design it’s top notch, however, there are several downsides. Unless you’re spending a ton of real currency you’ll only be able to play for a few minutes per day. You also will practically never get to summon after the first couple of weeks playing because you’ll be spending the meager amounts of in-game currency you receive daily on the equally meager amounts of energy you get. It’s also very expensive to refill your energy each time to only play one map four times. Moreover, it costs so much materials to upgrade units that it takes weeks if you’re not shelling out insane amounts of cash. You’ll love it at first (although a 4 unit team as opposed to just 3 would be much better for strategic combinations) but once the generous intro is over you will immediately be starved for resources in an effort to force you into buying packs. Unless you plan to whale on this I would pass cause it’s probably the least F2P friendly game out there.

I started playing the game on pc first and created an account using my google login. But trying to log in on the apple iTunes Store mobile, I only have the option to log in through my Apple ID instead and must create a completely new account to play on mobile but I only want the one game account since I’m not always home on my pc.
Many other mobile games on the iTunes App Store have the option to still log in through google account. It would be great to add that feature in so I can play the same account on both pc and mobile.
Otherwise the English voices could be better? It’s a rough mix where some of the VA is good and fits the character but some do not but that’s an issue in most games anyways.

If you’ve played Gacha games before, you probably know the drill. For example, I was shocked by how similar this game is to a gacha game made by a completely different company, Tears of Themis. I’m not saying that they deliberately copied that game, but it’s clear there isn’t much attempt to shake up the formula here. But that’s fine, as there’s enough variety to shake things up. And there are amazing visuals, fun (if a little complicated) gameplay, and a decent enough score. But where it falls apart for me is the story. The story is what’s going to justify any game’s continuing existence, as it’s what’s going to keep players engaged and keep things from getting stale. But I can’t make heads or tales of it, either because the translation is bad or because the pacing is bad or because the script was already a word salad to begin with (or all three). It’s like some nerd was constantly trying to impress you with his history/vocabulary knowledge and forgot how to gently integrate that knowledge into the narrative so we don’t all get lost. The game is still young so maybe it’ll either improve or get an update, so I’ll wait and see what happens. But I’m keeping my review at three stars until the plot stops feeling like a fever dream.

Pros: interesting character designs, everyone has accents (if Eng dub), nice artwork.
Neutral: Grindy due to lack of content outside of story and grind stages, the main girl Sonetto has a really nasually voice in Eng dub, some characters are boring tropes, the English dub has some known names behind them reading a script that was not proofread so what they’re saying sounds unnaturally wrong and unhinged
Cons: Absolute horrible localization/translation!! Mihoyo level shop pricing, lack of high tier male characters (look at a tier list and tell me how many male identifying characters are at S and A tier), pretty much another waifu heavy game, some voices in English get reeeeal annoying since Native English speakers can hear how over the top it is, lack of non-story content, “autosweep” isn’t instant and still require you to manually tap to loop, low rates 1.6%
by Gyubrat
This game is beautiful. My two gripes with it are that I do wish the casting for the english VAs were a little better, as I feel like some character’s voices don’t really mesh well with the character they’re voicing. I do wish the voice acting itself were a little higher quality but it’s not a deal breaker for me as I find the concept of new voice actors I haven’t heard before and differing accents and dialects interesting.
My most glaring issue with this game is that leveling up characters and progressing in the game is incredibly hard because leveling up characters is FAR too expensive, and for what little energy you have during the day to enter stages, the amount of dust and sharpodonties dropped are too small. This issue becomes especially glaring with the current event, A Nightmare at Greenlake, where you can’t even finish it and progress because getting a full team of characters to insight II level 50 is atrociously difficult unless you spend tons of money on the game.
This game’s presentation and gameplay are fun - please balance this aspect of the game that robs me of enjoying it fully. I can’t play a game I cannot level up my characters in.
by I Hate Internet But…
The game is really good packed with interesting mechanics, great character design and voice acting, kit design and atmosphere.
Everything about the game in terms of visuals is appealing.
The game does have its flaws though (obviously, there is no perfect game out there) one of these flaws is the lack of end game. At least for now. When you run out of story chapters there isn’t much to do. Well the game is fairly new so it would also not be fair to blame them for it since they will probably add such contents later on. The other problem being the character archive not being transparent enough. To put it simply they don’t show character designs before obtaining them. Last but not the least, lack of content that requires you to have friends for. They could have at the very least implemented systems that allow you to use characters of your friends like arknights
by PrincessPinklover❤️
Story is good, voice acting is good, designs are great and not insanely fan servicey, design and aesthetic are unique. English is so good and different languages and accent. We have a female main protag! Most of the characters are viable even fours stars. Rate and gems are decently generous. But the grind is insane, don’t play this as your main game. After the first two weeks you have nothing to really do but daily’s and grinding for end game. No sweep, seriously can we have a sweep or at least increased the multiplier like 10x, replay kinda stuck. Why doesn’t it scale with character level and we have to redo it, why can’t we change the 4 slot as that character is literally there to bond grind. There is also no hard pity for 5 stars that we want. How about this method that is a win win. First include a selector where you select which 5 stars you want. Basically this is how it would work: every 20 pulls you are guaranteed a RANDOM 5 stars, if the first 5 stars isn’t the rate up character, the next 5 stars would be ONE of the rate up character, if the 5 star isn’t the one selected then you get your selected 5 star. It is a 60 hard pity for six stars you want and it will still earn the same money and be more fair

One thing is for certain, this is no Honkai Star Rail levels of gameplay. Both are turn based but this is understandably slower with seemingly no auto-battle function for the exception of repeating battles. (Which plays your fastest recorded time over and over as a sped up playback to earn more resources.)
This game is very heavily focused on narrative, with questionable age in character’s designs while others are absolute MOMMIES.
The characters have their own uniqueness to them and I find myself playing around with different characters. WARNING: Acquiring currency for the Gacha seems like a slow process, because of the dialogue and story, you may skip this, but may quickly find yourself lost as to what’s going on in the story, and not having much content to play if gone through too quickly.
Some of the voices are reminiscent of using AI voices, which I hope is not the case. Pronunciation of words and delivery of sentences feel strange and disconjointed at times. I still find myself immersed in the immensely detailed story, though some emotions are lacking in dialogue for particularly heavy scenes. Anyways that’s all from me! Might even make a video covering it at Regashu on YT.

The game is great at first, it has good designs, graphics, story and various development options. For example, if you run out of energy and can no longer continue with the main story, you can alternate it with the artificial sleepwalking event, which does not require energy, trying to improve your heroes each time. However, there are only 3 small things that should be improved: 1. The material crafting system. These should be materials that can be obtained in any of the battles in the main game and not from the events that accompany it, since that way it is more viable to obtain them even if it costs time and energy, but if they ask for materials that are only obtained in the events, these sooner or later. 2. The arcanist system, there are some arcanists that we will never use nor have we used even once in the game, but even if we don't want to, they usually improve their "portray", if there was some way to generate an event where certain heroes have to be used, This could allow players to make use of these arcanists and at the same time obtain achievements, materials, etc. instead of having them lag behind.
3. The replay system of the game should have skip in the battles x1 x2 x3 and x4, at the beginning it is fun to see what plays you made, but then it becomes boring and you just want to save time.

First, this is a character cards based gotcha game. You choose three-four characters, they bring their cards into battle, and you use those to attack. You’ll meet most of the characters in the story, which is fun, if sometimes long winded (see this review, takes one to know one.) You get the characters by spinning for them. (The economy of gatcha games. there are several games like it, with the similar main gameplay. But I think this one is different enough to be interesting. The art and animation of the attacks are awesome, (especially the rarer, characters) and there is some strategy beyond elemental Rock-paper-scissors, and overpowering the enemy. But also there are several other fun aspects to the game, the twist on base building: making your own island wilderness is fun, and there are lots of different mini games in the expansions and side quests. Gatcha rates have been good for me so far, but let’s hope that’s not just a honeymoon launch effect.
All in all pretty fun!

I normally despise turn based combat, but this app shocked me with how deeply I enjoy it. The cutscenes and character designs are gorgeous, the controls and layout are easy to get used to, and the rewards are actually substantial. Pulling on banners isn't the main focus of the game, but it's enjoyable (especially when you're grinding for a particular character--Tennant come home😭) when basically every character you get is a good match for your team. Leveling materials aren't impossible to get, and the tutorials don't feel hand-holdy--they tell you the basics, but allow for that independent development of your personal play style. I'm not really into the story, but it seems to be a pretty good one thus far, and I'm excited to see how this game develops further!

Wow, what a lot to take in at first, this game isn’t very complex but the amount of different items available at launch can be confusing. LOVE the artwork and voices, they did a good job. The gameplay is easy and just requires a tiny bit of thinking. THIS GAME IS NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED QUICKLY! You’ll run out of content fast, and the in game currency is pretty good at launch but you’ll be wanting to login everyday to get them. Conclusion: great looking game with easy gameplay and various team builds but leans heavily on casual play. The story so far is good but it just launched, it should be. Biggest downfall, I don’t think I’ve seen worse pull rates, and it seems there are A TON of characters. The gacha system is gonna be unforgiving. 4 out of 5 stars. Would be 5 if the pull rates were better.

I think this game is good. I love the setting, the art, and the character design. Everything relating to presentation is spot on. No complaints here.
When it comes to gameplay, again, it’s good. I just have a couple gripes. I do enjoy turn-based combat, and I think that it’s implemented well. My issue (maybe not for others) is that there is no setting to display exact hitpoint and damage values at a glance during battle. I mean sure, you can see detailed hitpoints if you tap and hold a character, but there’s no way to see the precise amount of damage that your character’s spells will do.
Again, some people might not care about this. But for me, precise stats are needed in a turn-based game, because that can be the difference between ko-ing an enemy and leaving it a 1 HP and screwing your round.
There’s also crap gacha pricing. Trust me, as a guy who’s been playing Genshin F2P for 2 years now, I would know. But plenty of other people are already complaining about that in other reviews, so I won’t waste your time here.
This isn’t a deal-breaker for me, I’m still going to play the game because I like the artistic presentation, but a slider in the settings that displays advanced battle stats for people who want it would be nice. Help me out devs. Thank you!

Title explains a lot but the story is worth a shot at overlooking most of that for several hours in game so far, if you can get over the summoning pay to win part...but sheesh man rarely (in my opinion) do any of these games pull me in with their story/80% completely voice acted out by talented people for basically every character I've gotten so far. Thankfully they are more generous than many of these summoner games. It's very interesting so far, I hope I don't hit a pay wall later in the game if I get leveled enough that I have to spend money to advance like a lot of these kinds of games do after you reach a certain point. Some are better about it though so I am willing to overlook these cons due to the story being intriguing and extremely well voice acted almost the entire series by far. Great game I'd recommend to people who like gacha with a story that pulls you in for hours. I've become used to skipping through to get to the battles but I love the lore so much, I had to leave a review when I rarely ever even do.

So I’m someone who doesn’t mind these types of games. I find them rather interesting and it checks all my boxes. If you like: gacha games, anime styled art, anime esque va, wide variety of characters, plot heavy, turn based fighting game, this is for you. I saw some complain there’s no real customization which I personally don’t care about. I am fine being an mc regardless of it’s gender or otherwise looks. I like the combat style, I don’t customize much anyway, and have grown used to gacha. My main complaint is the promised free summons that I’ve only gotten 20/75 free ones promised. Otherwise, I’m happy with it. I think people who are review bombing just bc they dislike it don’t realize the game isn’t for everyone.

I have always loved the thought of travelling through different dimensions. Although this isn't exactly the same, it gives off a similar vibe. Not only are the characters incredible, the voice acting and plot are also phenomenal. I also enjoy their willingness to take feedback from all players, not just paying ones, as well as trying to garner a flourishing community though different players. I'd definitely reccomend this game to anyone in need of a quick reality escape. You don't have to grind for much of anything and can play casually if you just want to get the plot. There is so, so much I want to say but I'll stop here. I've been playing on the english server since around the time of It's release and I hope to continue playing until I am unable to.

i really love this game, the art style and gameplay is so unique . i also love how each characters have their own accent and most of them are related to a culture. it’s more diverse then genshin impact and genshin impact is a game about culture😹
honestly, when i see people talk about this game and comparing it to honkai and genshin, it feels so wrongly judged. mostly from what I heard was just false about this game and this game really has huge potential. js because your game isn’t a freely world experience game where you can roam around doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. n sometimes i even hear people say this game is similar to honkai and genshin and I’m just like what… if anything closest to this app 1999 it would be arknights, their both also very good games too.
i see people sometimes overlooking this game but honestly this game has so much potential.
by Bruhhhzz
I will preface this by saying that I have never been a story fan, I’ve always skipped most story (especially in games like g*nshin *yawn*).
Story: This game made me love story. I’m no professional in writing but every single storyline feels like a whole movie and makes me forget time. The recent philosophy storyline is SO GOOD its definitely my favorite in any game.
The art is beautiful, and the characters have great backstories. I especially loved tooth fairy’s (and 37s recently). I do hope we’ll get to see a bit more of the backstories of some 5* characters as well.
Gameplay: might not be for everyone but the game isn’t as grindy as other gachas at the very least. It’s turn based, and I find it pretty fun. I do wish we could have a quick clear x6 or something bc sometimes i have stockpiles of stamina.
Currency for pulls: as with most gacha, you dont need to spend money, but you would benefit a lot from just the 5 dollar monthly pass. Skins aren’t more than 10 dollars (the cost of a battle pass). Very ftp friendly.
Recent patch as of this review is the prisoner of the cave storyline update, and the voice actors really popped off (shoutout to Regulus’ english VA especially; I loved her). Its clear that the devs love this game, and i find the extra video shorts they create so cute.
Keep up the good work!

I was drawn to this in by the art but this is seriously a beautiful game. So far the story is mysterious but interesting. Character art is gorgeous and they have unique personalities. Characters actually feel alive. The soundtrack is also really nice.
On a side not another feature, I really liked was the protagonist. I just really like the idea of having a serious cool type female protagonist. This is really the icing on the cake because I’m thankful to be able to play a female protagonist. For beautiful games like this that is a rarity in itself. Even if you are able to play a lady it is obvious that the game has a target audience making the game uncomfortable.
On a side note for players that this might bother. This game has a female protagonist(as of right now, I don’t know the future) however there is no specific target audience. So it is enjoyable for all counterparts. Honestly it’s a great game.

This game felt pretty different from my past games, like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail because this app: 1999 has such diversity in their characters design and voices and their in-game combat. Both Genshin & HSR was a struggle at first, but once you get good characters, the game feel like a simple tap of a button! this app: 1999 on the other hand made you actually decide and strategize before you do anything, even with the best characters people would put in their A-S tierlist! Now, another thing is the voice actors and story. If you LOVE ton dialog and storytelling then this game is just for you! The characters VA will even satisfy your experience through the story because wow, it is so different and unexpected; a good thing. Overall, definitely should try out if you loved the games Honkai related games, Genshin, and etc. If so, HAVE FUN!!
by Seraphace
The best thing about this game is that while it’s still a gacha game, it doesn’t have a huge pressure for you as a player to spend money. For me at least, this made me want to support the game and spend the occasional $10-20 every month on the monthly passes. You’re not racing against anybody other than just trying to improve your team and beat the content. And even if you don’t 100% the limited event that’s fine, you just try again during the next limited event. The game is generous with currencies and material. Plenty of time to complete dailies and events.
Quality wise? 5/5. The art style. The diversity of characters and designs. The move sets. The endless choices for team compositions. Story is fine and voice acting (I play Japanese on iPad and English on my phone so I hear both) is impeccable.
One thing I gripe about is that the bosses are always immune to control which is a little annoying but I guess that’s a challenge for me to overcome.
by Violatepony
I’ve been playing this on and off for a while now, but the reason I keep coming back is because of just how absolutely drop dead GORGEOUS the characters, art, voice acting, just everything is beautiful. I mean, sure, I may have not payed attention for the first bit of the story… but that’s not important, the voice acting is nothing short of amazing. I especially love the diverse range of accents and stuff, it’s refreshing to hear. Also, the game is very generous when it comes to in game rewards. I haven’t spent a penny, but it’s still very possible to get most things, probably more than I have if you play consistently. All in all, it’s just a fun game. There’s a lot to do, so you won’t be running out of things to do for a while unless you’re trying to steamroll through the whole game in one sitting or something.

This game is so addicting..The combat is so exciting and when I learn a new trick I literally say out loud, “ Oh.. wait that’s so smart!” Everything is really easy to learn and the early gameplay rewards and very nice. Only thing I could see getting better is the voice quality of the characters, but it doesn't seem to be much of a bother.
The accents of all the different characters are also very refreshing despite the quality. The story is pretty easy to understand. The beginning was definitely a little confusing, but everything was explained after unlike some other games I’ve played..
Anyways, this is definitely a 10/10 game if you have some free time and want to try something new. I look forward for more characters to be released and story quests, can’t wait till then!

I’ve played and quit dozens of iOS games including but not limited to Diablo Immortal, Undawn, and AFK Arena but this app: 1999 has been the only game worthwhile.
It has great characters, amazing art style, outstanding graphics, and a truly addictive gameplay! I can say with confidence that this game is not a pay to win but is still worth every penny. My only complaint is the mind numbing the dialogue, it’s long and boring and I always end up skipping it so I never know what’s going on story wise. I do however appreciate the voiced dialogues as it is a breath of fresh air from all the reading you have to do in other games.
This game has lots to do to keep you busy and the only thing I would say to help improve it is to keep adding more content. Particularly the gameplay is the biggest appeal for me so more action please! Also maybe more exciting and relevant dialogue so that I can be more invested in the story which is half the interest/reason to play in almost every game.
Other than that there’s not much else to say except that this is truly a game worth playing and maybe the only iOS game worth downloading.
by Killuaxddn
Yes it is definitely one of the best games I’ve played this past year of my life. I play plenty of games on PC and on PS5 and this game truly competes with those games for me. The game is very generous with what it provides to its players. Plus, for this being a gacha, it doesn’t feel like it disrespects my dollar. If you login once a day for 10 minutes maximum and have the monthly subscription you can easily acquire close to 50 pulls for “free” per month if not more depending on the update. The rates are also on the better side for a system that also has a pity system in it. All business aside, the gameplay is simple to understand but harder to master. Within a year I have been able to get multiple maxed out teams together. That being said the story is genuinely good and thought out. They just finished the 1.0 story with this update and it ends on a strong note. I’ve fallen in love with the characters and designs. It is one of the only mobile games I call a real game. Well worth at least a try.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for anything in Reverse Store, but this game is just so good it deserves one. I was originally drawn in by the art style in the Instagram ad I saw, and after playing the game, it definitely did not disappoint. I personally think that this is hands down the most beautiful game I’ve ever played. Both the art and the music are incredibly enjoyable — this game is aesthetically pleasing in ever way. Sometimes, when my game is in its cooldown period, I’ll just leave it open to have the music play in the background. I will admit that it did take a bit of time for me to understand the gameplay and mechanics, but once I went through the tutorials and played a little, I was able to pick it up easily. Now, I am truly addicted and invested.
Also, I’ve been loosely following along with the dev announcements on Twitter, and it really seems like they are constantly listening to feedback and releasing fixes as quickly as they can. It’s only been about a week since the game’s release, but I hope I can continue to enjoy this game for a long time!

i’m absolutely in LOVE WITH THIS GAME‼️‼️‼️ the characters the story to the english dub of it!! its like THE GAME!!! the narrative is amazing and the story telling is unique and uses the medium it has well (visual novel style) and how you’re basically required to know at least some of the story to progress. i love the turn based system, which isn’t something i originally expected to enjoy. it’s fun and allows me to truly strategize and prepare for the battles i’ll be facing—which is something i’ve almost never encountered with any other game. also—you guys NEED to pay your character artists more, because they do an AMAZING job at the characters, perfectly showcasing them and their personality without having to speak at all. i also love how small the game is in size—being mostly 2d after all. it’s something my phone won’t blow up over and i love that. my computer is so able to handle the game perfectly too. THANK YOU BLUEPOCH YOU ARE MY FAVORITE DEVS

If you’ve seen the ad, you know how compelling the story is & how stunning the art is. If you love genshin or hsr you will love this game maybe even more than those games bc this game does everything in the best way possible that any other best games in the related field would have done.
My favorite part of the games are the visual & they absolutely knocked out the standard of the competition. The character designs & writing are magnificent. The low rarity character look as amazing as the high rarity one. Even the npc is given some attention to details too
The voice act is impeccable & top-notch. I’m more of a player who play for visual than combat but I enjoy the battle so much because the animations & audios are just so breathtaking that listening to it & watching it so many time I still don’t get bored. The game can be grindy depending on your goals but for casual player this game is so generous. The gacha pity is way better than genshin & hsr. You even get 2 FREE 5 stars. The music is just as good. This game deliver it all.
Obviously I’m not experience w the combat to give any comment but if you have seen my praise for how good this game is at what it does, you bet they would do the combat just as amazing as well. The more I play this game the more I love it.
Thank you Reverse1999 developers for making this masterpiece.

So far, I’ve been really impressed with everything I’ve seen so far. Gameplay’s similar to other turn based games, which isn’t a bad thing, but it also has a few unique elements to it that make it interesting. Art style looks great, both in gameplay and in cutscenes, with many pretty visuals. Story has been keeping me engaged so far and the characters have mostly been pretty fun to experience, especially Regulus and Vertin. By far the best thing about it though is the EN voice acting though! I highly recommend playing the game with EN dub as the voices really give the characters a unique feature that’s gives them a lot of personality while also making them sound different from most other EN dubs in gachas I think. Can’t wait to see what else the game has in store in the future!

I love the game so far! It’s extremely f2p friendly but does have a couple p2w items that will help your progress just like any other game. I think it’s a lot more f2p friendly though because if you get a 6 star character, you don’t need to get copies as the resonance/constellation system (called portrayal in this game) doesn't increase your skills’ dmg that much. The combat system is unique because it doesn’t really take skill per day it just requires you to think a couple steps ahead so that you don’t waste attacks or buffs of any kind. I think it’s a really cool game, especially if you like Honkai Star Rail or Dislyte as the set up of the game is very similar to the two. Definitely try out this one as I have some high hopes for it. (Although there is no open world mechanics like HSR 😢)

At first, I downloaded this game to hate on it because I kept seeing a lot of ads for it but the complete opposite happened. I ended up enjoying it. The graphics are out of this world. The voice acting is surprisingly stellar. It’s easy to get the gist of the story but also it is very…complicated in a good way. The gameplay is easy to learn but there are a lot of complexities. A dummy can understand it but only a master can master it (?).
I’ve only been playing it for three days. You can get five free characters. They’re all good but imo, Sonetto is the best amongst all of them: she can buff your damage and also decrease the damage you take. You can also get another free character on the eighth day: Dikke. She’s a dps and a teamwide healer. I’m impatiently waiting to get her right now. Apple’s single target healing is not enough for this boss that I’m stuck on right now 😂.
One QoL that I really appreciate is the “Activity”. As your level increases, so does your “Activity”. You can also see how long until your “Activity” becomes full. I wish the other popular game that I’m playing had something like that :(.
I wish this app 1999 to stays on this good path they’re in right now and become greater. I would hate for it to become another stale and greedy gacha game.

Hello,
I hope whoever is reading is doing well. I just want to say this one of the first games that has me hooked as soon as I saw an ad. Most of the time I click away from an ad because they’re not interesting, but this one is had such great animations, I couldn’t resist. I downloaded it immediately and started playing. This game far exceeded my expectations. It has great animations, story, fighting system and characters. Although I come from a Hoyoverse game (hsr). This game will stay in my phone and will be played daily. The game is so immersive in its style and is definitely something I recommend playing. I’m so excited for how new updates and patches will look like a bf bring to the game!

I’ll tell you what, you’d be jumping in joy and praisin the lord. Everything about this game hits the mark. Voice acting, story telling, art, character designs/lore/models, even the gacha system is acceptable. In other games, I usually run into the disappointment of really liking a character, but said character not being strong enough to clear content. In this game, that doesn’t apply because it’s a strategy game. In other words, even the worst kits are viable if you play your cards right. That’s just the kind of game I love! And now my only problem is that I can’t last two minutes without going back to this game. Woe is me

This game has been the only RPG that keeps my attention for more than ten minutes, I’ve spent hours on this game. IT IS JUST WOW! The plot twists, the amazingly easy way to earn stuff to level your characters up, the also very easy way to get six star characters it just amazes me! And their voice acting is just wow, they have so many different voice actors here’s a few Russian, French, British English, American English, and just so many more voices! In almost every RPG I’ve played the voice actors who try to do a different language it mainly just sounds offensive but this game has actual people from these places and it means a lot! If you are a fan of a fantasy Si-Fi, and amazing voice acting, this game is fit for you!

The art style is so pretty, and the visuals are beautiful, too. The voice acting threw me off a little, bc I've never heard such real voices in a story game, or really any game like this. The character’s voices gives them so much personality and I absolutely love it! Also, all of the character designs are so cute. Especially the little blue-green radio 🥺
The only semi-negative thing I have to say about this game is that the storyline is a bit confusing at first. It took me a few chapters to sort of understand the this app setting and all of the different terms.
Although the game file is big, it doesn't drain too much of my battery quickly. It did take a few minutes to download and start up the game, but it doesn't lag or make my device overheat. All in all, I really like this game so far 🤗

this app 1999 has caught my eye for a long time before global release. i fell in love with the art style, graphic design, story concept, and voice acting. everything visually about this game is absolutely gorgeous, and even the music is stunning. the main story of the game is so interesting and makes you want to play the next stage until there is no more. though, i wish the main story would update faster because based on the cn server, we will finally get a new chapter in 1.4 which is 4 patches after launch. since one of this app 1999's core aspects is the story, i would love it if the main story updated faster. in addition, i think the combat is easy to learn, but also gets complicated once you drive deeper into it. i appreciate this since it's good for both players who are not that worried about combat and for players who love to analyze every little detail. the rewards from mail and events are average i'd say, not amazing but not bad either. in conclusion, i've been playing this app 1999 everyday since launch, and i see myself continuing to do so for a very long time. i hope the devs will continue to listen to feedback as it is very important if i want to keep playing this game.

I’m in love with this game. It’s the first story(gacha wise) where I didn’t just skip through the entire first arc to try out the gameplay. The art for both gameplay and scripted scenes is just beautiful. The artist and voice actors talents are really shown in this game. Whoever hired them should also get a shine.
If that wasn’t enough , the card mechanics in the game itself is in a leauge of it’s own. It’s a fun and interesting way to handle the card game genre that makes it very tactical instead of level based. Not to say that you won’t need to level but with a good team you can handle most stronger enemies without leveling at all.

Where do I begin? This game has it all - An original and riveting story, lovable characters, a great soundtrack, absolutely gorgeous visuals and more. It’s only 4 days since launch and I’ve already been put through the wringer emotionally as the story progresses, yet I stay hungry for more. It’s incredibly rare that I have no gripes (however nit-picky) about a mobile game, but I can honestly say this is flawless by my standards. There are tons of launch rewards including some very generous currency and pulls for the gacha banners. I could go on. What are you waiting for? Download and see for yourself.

i love the game so much so far. there’s a lot of stuff to do if you end up blowing through the main story! when you think you’re finished with this update content BOOM here’s something else to do and there’s no rush or pressure to get through it all. it just feels nice overall.
i love the gameplay so much. the graphics are the most beautifuliest and the voice actors are amazing. i genuinely don’t have a single issue with this game, seriously. i play this game more than my others and this one JUST came out. 😭 i love it so much and has been telling everyone ik to play. i cannot wait for future updates, ik they’re going to be amazing.

Sooo. Let's cut the chase. This game is really good! But, of course, it has it's bad sides, or less "enjoyable" aspects. To be fair, in my opinion, I think this game has more of a "niche" appeal then mainstream. Getting the items to gacha is slow, but summoning isn't too harsh (to be clear I just use whoever I get). The story feels a little confused at times and the voices of certain npcs seem "ai". Otherwise then this, the combat is unique and I quite like it, though it certainly isn't for everyone. Anyway, heres the results: Great game, confusing but engrossing world and story, amazing combat. A- rating. Would recommend if your into this kind of stuff.

The story is fine and and the events are great but as I was looking at how we can’t just auto play everything and we have to pick cards to fight, it’s such a strategic game. Which got me thinking why isn’t there a real time pvp arena like summoners war unless y’all thought about it and can’t find out how your going to do it. this game has potential to be big in the gaming industry I would love to play my team against others. Well that’s just my thoughts on the game if it matters at all, but i give u guys a five star because there’s not many games out here that can compete with the bigger games like epic seven or raid, and like i said this game has great potential. i look forward to what u guys have in store for us that are addicted to this game

I feel like the event time limit is too short. I have a life and I can’t play this game every day. Please make the events a bit longer! Or, add something like in Honkai: Star Rail where the events get archived, and you can still access them and get rewards at a later time. Maybe thats a thing, and I’m just dumb and haven’t noticed. If it is, please respond to this and tell me.
Anyways, for players this is super F2P friendly! No horrible artifact RNG (curse you Genshin), and it has an auto farming thing that lets you replay past runs (so you won’t have to worry about a bot doing your runs and killing you, because the runs are just repeats of what you have already done). Saves a lot of time and effort. The ENG voice acting could use some work (I’ve only listened to ENG for this game), but this game is really good. Also a bit fruity. Skittle squad fr…
Also, they’re the future of gachas- they added a playable 6* DOG. How cool is that? I have him (his name is Pickles) and I love him very much.
Thanks for all your hard work devs! I hope you read this at some point when you have time.
