Purina Pro rewards program

I was going through myPurina Store and I found the Purina Pro app so I downloaded it. I love myPurina it’s easy to use every time I go to get my dog food which is Purina dog food and scan in my receipt I earn reward points easy to use easy to claim your points and they give away nice gift cards. If you’ve never downloaded myPurina you should.

Problems with mobile app

I downloaded myPurina and everything worked great for about a week. Now I can no longer download any of my receipts. As soon as I click on “download photo or capture photo” I get a blank, white screen. I have to close out of myPurina in order to get back to the main screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and still didn’t help.
I emailed them 10 days ago with no return message. I’ve emailed them again today.
I’m an independent rescuer that works with TNR and I buy SO much cat food (wet and hard) so I was very excited about being able to earn points. But I don’t know how to fix this and have a stack of receipts that I would like to scan for the points. Please help

Awful app

I have six cats and buy a lot of cat food. I signed up for the new program and did all the bonus activities. At one point I think I had 200 points. All six of my cats were in my profile. But now I have 0 points. I sent an email for help and never got a response. I called and was told they could see my points but didn’t see my email. I was told to respond to an email with a screenshot of my 0 points. Nothing. I tried updating myPurina . Nothing. I tried reinstalling myPurina . Now all my cats are gone and the activities I already completed are incomplete. And where did my receipt go?? myPurina is terrible. I’m so frustrated I lost all my points from the previous program and can’t do anything with this one. Please fix this.

Tried to redowload and Every thing is erased Again! So

I've been using myPurina since I first got the email to download it. I had 4300 points, tried to redeem 1300 and the gift card was never sent. Went back yesterday and all my points are gone and so are all of my pet pictures that I uploaded to my account. I tried to reupload pics, different pics so I knew if they were deleted lol and they were. So I supposedly redeemed 1300 points I redeemed for a gift card i never got and had 1900 left but my account just says "uh oh" no record of anything. I've been using the website since years before they even switched to myPurina , before the new/now old website and the new app, like I've been a true supporter since my cats were born lol

Useless app, program is a scam

myPurina provides no added value compared to simply using the website. Unfortunately, the website is “down for maintenance” which is ridiculous because that message has been there for weeks. By the time I realized that the website was never going to work and downloaded myPurina , multiple receipts were no longer valid for the program.

Only receipts less than one month are accepted, but it takes them nearly a month to approve anything. So, you basically have to upload the day of the purchase or else they will reject it.

Good idea, but horrible app

The receipts I upload are approved but I get 0 points. I emailed support about it and for a while, I couldn’t access the section to look at receipt details. Not sure if Purina did that on purpose or what but seems like customer support doesn’t respond to anyone regarding rewards points. myPurina itself is very clunky and takes a few seconds to load each section. The rewards seem nice, though. If only I could actually get my points to redeem them. I’m just deleting my account at this point.

myPurina is going well for me so far. It is easy to upload receipts. I haven’t tried to redeem points yet but hope to do that soon.

Horrible App

Like everyone else I’ve had nothing but issues with this new app. My points show up and then disappear. I have no idea which ones are being counted or not. I redeemed 1300 points for a $5 Walmart gift card and got nothing in my email. I emailed the contact and got no response. I haven’t been able to upload a receipt in over a week, all I get is a blank white page. myPurina is absolutely awful and looks so so so bad for Purina. I’m just going to forget it and start buying another brand that actually cares about its customers experiences.

Not a great app

Has a lot of bugs. From the pet profile and survey points not showing as awarded, to things not being intuitive on myPurina . Finding point history was exceptionally hard. When you redeem a gift card it doesn’t say how long it takes to be given or even how it comes. It just says redeemed and the points are gone. The receipt checks also take an exceptionally long time. Like Mary be they pay someone to manually like and they are backlogged or something. It takes weeks. I just really don’t enjoy myPurina.

Too Difficult To Use On iPad

It is too difficult to use myPurina on an iPad. View direction stays landscape, even when attached to a keyboard. There is also something off that affects filling in forms. If it opens another screen (like to select from a list of states) you can’t see the whole screen. Then to go back leaves the entire form. Was unable to redeem points due to this glitch. Frustrating. Will stick with the website version for now.

Why???😤😤😤

I tried putting my info from the original MyPerks account. When I did, it said the account needs to be “verified” so I waited to receive an email… never did. I don’t know why they thought doing this change was a smart idea. I’ve been trying everything to recover my account, I don’t want to start a new one because I have been saving A LOT of points from the old account for a long time now, and I don’t want to lose them. This is disappointing, I’ll try to contact someone for help.

Receipt capturing issues

I have tried capturing two separate receipts and no matter what I do I keep getting rejected. Both are long receipts so I do the add to receipt option. It shows three images captured and when I submit the receipt it gets rejected because the system only recognizes the bottom of the receipt. Very frustrating app. I have tried to capture both receipts at a minimum 3 times unsuccessfully. I use other apps where I capture long receipts with no issues at all.

App is a little buggy

Had points. Points disappeared. Reappeared a few days later. Redeemed for a $5 gift card. No indication of where & when. Finally showed up in my email. Maybe indicate how/where to receive gift cards & redemptions in the FAQ section. App could use a few tweaks to make it fully functional.

Sadly disappointing

I was so excited to start redeeming points! I love the idea of a reward system like this especially since we have 2 cats and a dog that we feed Purina. However, when I try to add my pets, the whole app crashes! I was able to upload one receipt but I haven’t gotten anything back (rightfully so, myPurina says it should take about 10 days.) I wanted to add all my babies to myPurina but I can’t :(

Disappointed

I switched from CatChow Rewards, my points didn’t. I created a pet profile and didn’t get points. I can’t upload receipts - keep getting an error. I deleted myPurina and reinstalled to see if that helped and it’s like I got a whole new account, my pet profile is gone and I still can’t upload receipts. I’m a die-hard Purina person and was super excited to finally earn on all their products but this is a major let down.

No Perks for You

This new rewards program is terrible. It is open to only people with smart phones vs everyone before. I order cat food from Target but when I submit the order receipts they just get rejected. This wasn’t a problem before. Maybe I should look for a cat food brand that appreciates its customers. Speaking of which… I reached out to customer service about issues with the program… never got a response.

No points issues, can’t log in/reset password

I’ve been going back and forth with Purina support about multiple eligible reciepts that show as “approved” but zero points have been issued. Now when I try to log in I get an error, and I’m also getting an error when I try to reset my password. Hope they get it resolved soon as I was looking forward to this rewards program as a loyal customer.

Points Aren’t Being Credited

I have scanned the receipts, the receipts have been accepted, yet I’ve not been credited any points. I should easily have near 2,000 points yet they’re no where to be seen. I’ve reached out over email multiple time and there has been no response except for one time and that didn’t resolve the issue.

Waste of time

Got the email to download myPurina and was very excited. Downloaded and created profiles for both of my dogs. They are both on different versions of Purina Pro Plan. Saw that I could upload receipts from up to a year ago and get points. Started uploading and had 5 receipts approved however 0 points accumulated. This is not worth the time. I will be deleting myPurina .

Horrible!

There are so many things wrong here it’s ridiculous. My receipts are “going through” when submitting- but I never get my points and then customer service says they can’t see them (after a month of back and forth emails where they pay NO ATTENTION to what you are saying) then all of a sudden one customer service rep says “found em and your points will be added in 5-10 days”. 3 weeks later- no points. Message customer service again and bam- they don’t see my receipts. UGH! Seriously. What a hot mess. So 2 months down the line I still have not gotten my points. I still have not gotten someone to pay attention to what I’m saying (I seem to always get the same answer). And myPurina doesn’t seem to track what I have submitted either so I can watch for it. And I dread going back to customer service- it’s just a waste of time. The old system (prior to their change beginning of 2023) worked GREAT! And you could upload receipts online not just myPurina . No more online (though… get this… it WAS available and it WORKED! The receipts I submitted to the new program online went though with no issues- myPurina is where the F up is) FIX IT! You’re about to lose me and the money I spend on food with Purina. I’ll find another program that actually works and start using their food

Frustrated

I do not want to complain so much, but myPurina is horrible. The receipt I submitted on 10/7 was rejected because “I already submitted it”, as were several receipts before that. That was the first time that I submitted these receipts. The receipt on October 1st was approved, but I did not earn any points, despite Purina products being on that receipt. Also, I have received several email rewards notifications with the options of Walmart, PetSmart, and Target gift cards, but those are no longer options on myPurina . Customer service via email is not the best. This makes me want to switch food brands entirely.

Had potential

myPurina seemed great at first! I love & buy the Purina brands and I’m always happy to rack up rewards points. Unfortunately, once I got enough points from one order ($$) to buy some toys, suddenly I can’t login and even though I can reset my password as many times as I’d like, I can’t login. Oh well. Do better.

So far I love it

I’ve only had it for a day, but I sure wish I would’ve found it sooner. I have a dog a cat and a hamster, so I am always looking for ways to save money on animal food and supplies. I signed up today and immediately got samples and treat sent to me for free, and then I got points to cash out for other things for animals and myself

App shuts down

I just downloaded myPurina and tried to add my dog. Every time I select “male” myPurina shuts down.

When trying to contact myPurina owner you will be directed to either contact them via email or chat. The email drop down options for contact reason have nothing to do with myPurina . I tried the chat and the chat-bot said it was connecting me to a live person but that it could be a 5 min wait which is reasonable. But after MUCH more time the bot said it could not connect and directed me to send an email. Again, the same irrelevant drop down choices are presented.

Hopefully the developers actually monitor these comments so a fix can be offered. I have three dogs to add but right now myPurina is not usable.

Terrible App

I downloaded the new app in early September-patiently waited until October 10th to contact customer service as to why my points from the previous app were never transferred to the new app. I was informed that within 24 to 48 hours I would receive an email from Purina detailing the transfer of points. As of today, October 25th, my previous points still have not been transferred and no email from Purina. I redeemed 1300 points for a digital gift card today, October 25th. When there was no receipt of the gift card in a timely manner to my email address, I called customer service. Customer service indicated that the digital gift card would be received in 24 to 48 hours from the return email address of noreply@vcdelivery. com. This information should be shared somewhere in myPurina or, at the very least, under the FAQ section of myPurina .
myPurina is a mess and customer service seems to be powerless to do anything to resolve the issues that customers are experiencing. It would appear they are using a third party for the delivery of the digital gift cards. Purina-your customers and their pets deserve better than this poorly thought out and executed app. My recommendation-get it together Purina or discontinue this PR nightmare of an app.

Don’t Bother

Unusable. I’m trying to use it on my iPad Pro and, first of all, it won’t adjust to landscape view so I have to look at it sideways while I type with my keyboard attachment. But I suppose it doesn’t matter because it keeps crashing each time I try to enter my cat’s profile. Actually, the first issue I had was in trying to add her profile photo…I chose a photo and then it just went to a blank screen. No way to back out, close it, anything. I literally had to turn my iPad off, wait the compulsory 30 seconds, then turn it back on. When I did this, I went back to myPurina to finish setting up her profile without a photo. When I did this, each time I tried to enter her name, myPurina crashed on me and closed down. I tried it 3 times with the same result, at which point I decided I didn’t want to be a Purina rewards member after all. And I suggest you do the same if you don’t like getting frustrated on a lovely Saturday morning. Toodles.

Love the app and the product!

My vet recommended Purina for my pets and after switching I will never go back! My cats are always excited for their meals and myPurina gives you new fun and exciting ways to play with your pets! I love scanning in my receipts and getting free treat for my pets!

Frustated

I was happy with this program at first but receipts keep getting rejected, even on resubmissions, because the date ‘cannot be read’. I always circle the date and purchases; the dates are very clear. Getting tired of writing to customer service. I’ll probably delete myPurina next time this happens and forget about the free stuff. It’s not worth the aggravation.

Nov 7, 2023 update: Again, receipts are still being rejected for “unclear” dates; and now a first time receipt was rejected for “receipt already submitted”. Who are the people reviewing the submissions!

I can’t even verify my email

I’ve tried now 10 time to get myPurina to verify my email so that I can create an account. Each time I open the email and hit the button to verify, it sends to a site on my web browser, which I then click and then it sends me to myPurina Store, so I click “open” and it sends me to the login screen, but then tells me I need to verify my email!
I guess I need to buy a different brand of pet food if y’all can’t even get something as simple as email verification to work.

Very flawed system

At this point, basically anytime I submit a receipt I anticipate it being rejected because I've "already submitted this receipt before," even when it's simply not possible- like my first receipt dated for the current month, despite having no other receipts submitted for that month. Growing very tired of having to email customer support over and over again for the same issue, and repeatedly being told that "it can take up to 3 business days" for a receipt to be reviewed. If that's the case, why does everything get moved immediately into Rejected and never into Pending? Please do better. At present, the offered rewards aren't worth the headache.

Crappie App

I’ve tried resetting my password. I either get something went wrong, try again which I do same error. I’ve rebooted myPurina , I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and same crap error.
When I do manage to be able to reset my password, when I login, I get an error has occurred over and over again!! It’s not a typing the password error because I tried using the same password spelt the same way and still an error. I even tried a different password and still same error!!
I’m done trying to use this very unreliable app!!

Update- after reaching out to purina regarding myPurina there was an update that fixed my issues.

I just signed up and after signing in I tried adding my pets but as soon as I hit the plus sign myPurina closes.

Very Frustrated

I have been a loyal Purina customer for many years and also a member of their rewards program. I was hoping the change to this new program would go smoothly, but unfortunately, it’s a disaster. I have submitted many receipts, with only one or two being accepted as they should and points rewarded, and they were months ago. Now, every receipt I submit gets rejected saying it have already submitted it, but it is a new receipt with the current date! EVERY TIME I submit a receipt I have to contact customer service about the issue and keep checking to see if I get rewarded my deserved and earned points. Also, there have been free rewards available to redeem and I have tried to redeem them many, many times and it never goes through. I continuously get the message that “something went wrong” when I confirm the rewards order for a free sample. So disappointed and upset that this hasn’t been fixed yet with soooo many complaints. I am rarely one to write a poor review, but I expect so much more from Purina. Please take care of your loyal customers and their pets better!

Purine has been my choice for as long as I’ve had pets!

I love any type of animal and have rescued many during the 50+ years. I can remember always trusting Purina for all my pets’ needs. Most of my pets have lived very long healthy lives. The prices help me be able to help more critters in need. Thank you Purina for helping with these points programs which definitely help in these times when money is tight for most.

Broken and Pretty Much Worthless to Me.

Seriously disappointed with this. myPurina crashes, log in issues, and some really lousy rewards options culminated in feeling pretty screwed over for wasting my time with this thing. I have a 60lbs dog, and none of the “rewards” are at all something that I can use, even if the point cost for those rewards wasn’t completely ridiculous anyway. Looking at almost $200 worth of product on order to afford a small breed $10-$15 toy. Unless you have a cat that you feed fancy feast, there’s a very good chance none of the “rewards” options are not going to be worth much of anything to you.

Best Pet App Ever!!!

So as a first time cat owner I was looking for a good app or website, really anything to help me take care of a cat, then I found myPurina! It was life changing😄!! It gives you points so you can purchase stuff in myPurina like treats and collars or even gift cards! You can even get free stuff like cat broth, dog treats and a call with a vet! It also gives you challenges, like spending time with your pet. It teaches you to train your furry friends too!! After a while I found another feature- it can help you pick the right food for your pet!! With only a few simple questions it’ll find your perfect match!!! I would recommend myPurina very much, from first time pet owners to crazy pet lady myPurina is for you!!!

APP IS INCONSISTENT

Using the latest version of myPurina , which 1.29.1. Use the in app camera two capture a photo of a receipt from PetSmart and upload it to myPurina . Did this two separate times and got confirmation receipt. But went back into myPurina and nothing was showing pending. Decided to take a picture with my cell phone apply it to my photo library and then upload it to myPurina . This time it shows pending receipt. Why is myPurina so crazy and inconsistent? This is a hassle every time I try & use myPurina

Not good with online purchases

Doesn’t work with online purchases. Works great with grocery store receipts, but I buy 90% of my cat food/treats online. I’ve tried submitting the paid invoices provided by the online retailers, submitting screen prints, everything. It always says something like “can’t read line item”. Well I can, it’s right there on the receipt I just submitted. I know it’s reviewed by AI, but really, can’t this be programmed better? Every online purchase I submit is automatically rejected. Every time I have to bring it to their customer service’s attention and they will manually approve it. It’s extremely frustrating.

Error message

I have had the Purina app for a few months and it had been working great. However, within the last 2-3 weeks I am unable to get into my account. I am getting an error message each and every time I try to log in. I tried to change my password to see if that would help and still can’t get in. I have called the customer service line several times and they have reset my account and I still can’t get into my account. Now I receipts that I can’t enter and I may not get credit for and can’t access my points. Very very disappointed and frustrated about this situation.

Disappointed

I’ve been a member for a long time and was excited for the new app. It worked great at first and my old MyPerks points were transferred to my new account. I redeemed a couple of items and had over 14,000 points left. Then all of a sudden my points and pet profiles were erased, totally gone. myPurina was acting as if I was a brand new member. I tried to access my points activity but I kept getting error messages. I then tried reinstalling myPurina , that didn’t work either. I emailed customer service and they said that my points were still in my account. They recommended that I log out and back in, so I tried that but it didn’t help. I also tried submitting new receipts but I just get error messages. I’m so disappointed because it took a long time to rack up all those points. I hope it’s just a glitch with the new system since the customer service representative said I still have my points. Please fix these bugs! I enjoy this program and really want my points back!

UPDATE: I’m changing my rating from 1 to 5 stars. Thank you so much for fixing the problems! myPurina is working again, my points are restored and I’m able to upload receipts!

Really like the app, but needs more dog products

I really like myPurina but the only down fall I see is it should calculate what animals are put on myPurina . I only have dogs, no cats. It seems there are more cat products than dog products. Which therefore limits what I can use my points for and purchasing things for my dogs. I think if there are only dogs on myPurina , it should only be dog products showing and the same with only cats. If it is dogs and cats both then myPurina already has it right. I have 3 huskies so I’m always uploading receipts from bags of dog food to treats. I’m very limited on what I can use my points for when it comes to redeeming them. All in all I really like myPurina . I’ve had no issues with it uploading receipts or redeeming points for products.

Redownloaded issues from the start

I am not sure why I removed myPurina before but maybe removing it again after redownloading and receiving errors from the start.

The first thing that stood out to me on my home page when I opened myPurina was a red box with a message that said “Missing pet information” “Complete Profile”. I personally hate seeing these types of bold boxes, this would be especially true for this case because a lot of animals are mixed and people have no clue what they are mixed with. This is especially true on cats, where you are putting dsh, dmh, or dlh as an answer, pointless and a lot of people have no clue what that is (rant over).
So I fill in the missing information, a picture, type of breed and push save only to receive an error! “Something went wrong please try again”
I have tried to exit it and log back in, it looked like it was going to work, it said it saved, I hit next, and it did not give me the next cat, so I went out clicked on that cat only to be taken back to the first one, to receive the same error again. You get the point.

If I cannot get through the simple task of updating/entering pet information which is a first step am I truly expected to think there will not be more frustrations and errors?

Thank you for having myPurina,I have 7 cats, feed the deer, raccoon & possum (who both eat cat food) & I just took in a 12 yr old dog that’s had a extremely hard life an hasn’t properly been eating right. I’ve always used friskies for the 4 years I’ve had the cats but I didn’t know about myPurina. I appreciate the ability to try & save money, my animals are very important to me. Thank you!

Upset with this app!

I buy Purina products all the time and like to scan receipts for products but I was having to change my password every time I tried to log in, I contacted Purina to tell them I am unable to even log in now it keeps telling me my credentials are wrong, my credentials are right, there is something wrong with myPurina, I even tried deleting password and making new one but it still won’t let me log in!!! Purina told me to update my app but it is already updated and has been but still cannot log in! I will contact them again but I hope I get more precise help this time!

Something wrong here

How is anyone able to earn “points” for just adding their pets…if you keep getting an error message of “something went wrong”. I have followed step by step after just downloading myPurina and I can’t even get through adding my first pet. Takes you all the way to the end of adding a photo…I click finish and says can’t be added?? What is this if you can’t add the simplest of info from the get go?? Purina needs to get their tech team on board with actually being able to input info YOU are asking for! Come on. Don’t advertise this if no one can even use it. Absolute waste of time! Do not even bother with this!!

Tricked by Purina

I have used the Purina app to get credit for my Purina purchases! I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years! And the agents I speak to about problems with myPurina and my redemptions are either uninformed or being told to lie! In either case it is not a good way to do business! And the quality of what used to be the BEST is no longer there! I have let Purina know by sending a can of Fancy Feast to show what I mean! I KNOW they are using sub par ingredients and it SHOWS! And the price has doubled! I want my cats to have the best I can give them and I am actively looking for another brand! I just HATE deception!

I like that they are offering points

I have 27 foster cats and six outside cats and random feral cats that show up😱

I buy so much Purina food weekly!
so I’m happy that they are offering points.
I spend so much money on Purina products it seems to be the product that keeps them healthy and happy without vomiting or getting sick. It’s the only affordable brand I will choose. I’ve paid more for other brands and some may not even eat it. I’ve been fostering for 5 years now, it’s very difficult to keep up with the cost of food due to the rise in cost of everything.

Was able to use app for about 3 weeks then it no longer would let me into my account. I've tried to update the app, deleted it off my iphone and reloaded, changed password, and it refused to let me in. Have sent multiple emails to Purina's contact page and keep getting the same form letter back. Called the 800 purina number to report and was told someone would call me back. After a week of no one calling, called in again and was told the same thing. I'm very disappointed in Purina and am rethinking their products. Unless you love chaos and frustration, don't bother with this app.
