Great Features

As of the day this review is written Tri Counties just came out with an update that added a ton of new features. You can link all accounts to easily see debt/savings/retirement accounts all in one place. See cash flow, and budget expenses, and categorize all transactions to make the flow and budgeting easier. You can also see these accounts in other ways such as a debt chart with estimated payoff over time, trends of how much you’ve spent in each category over time, and your net worth.

I Highly recommend their new app.

Stop deleting my review your app is horrible

On top of now being forced to use a subpar app that requires extensive and unnecessary sign in requirements these people are deleting reviews. Plus as hard you try I can still tell one of the only positive reviews on here is completely fake. This is disgusting behavior. It is the 21st century and I implore you to join us but until you do I am absolutely done with this bank. You are horrid when it comes to everything from customer service, debit card reliability, and mobile apps. I am absolutely sick of it. If you didn't insert yourself in communities with limit banking options and awareness you would have been bankrupt years ago.

Lacking

Due to failing eyesight I have always done my mobile deposit on my iPad with the previous app. Have not been able to do that with this new app. The new app works fine other than so far having to use my itty bitty iPhone. Would appreciate the ability to make deposits on the iPad. The new app is full of lots of information I’ll never need as I only have a checking account and home loan but it is easy enough to navigate just more cluttered.

A pain to use

The new app is annoying. I have to update each time I open TriCounties , even if just minutes have passed. Have to go thru three screen just to get to the log in. More complex to tak the photos.

Old app was better

I don’t see the point of “renovating” something that isn’t broken. The old app was meh but it worked. This one seems to work ok too but again Its annoying that I had to reset my password and learn a new layout because some corporate scum were bored of snorting cocaine from the office tables and wanted to “change something up”

Garbage New Tri-Counties Bank App

Awful App. The old Tri-Counties App was a bit buggy at times, but this new one won’t even open. Complete disaster. I hope you fire whoever led this project or had the idea this would be an improvement. Especially after Tri-Counties promoted over and over how this would be great. What an embarrassment

Deposits difficult

There used to be a light and automatic photos for check deposits. All manual now without a light. Not an improvement.

Failure of app

TriCounties replaces previous version, but is non-functional. It won’t load accounts or even provide basic function or operation. TriCounties is a fail and will lead to clientele switching banks. To top off the issue this app will charge a paper statement fee to see your money.

Not an improvement at all

TriCounties is such a downgrade from the previous one. It shows that I have a bill due, but not for how much. Okay, I guess I’ll just guess? Or have to call every company I have an account with every month?

If you don’t have excellent signal (which I don’t at work) TriCounties doesn’t work at all. The old one did. If they can’t fix it, I might have to change banks as I use mobile banking all the time.

Not sure why the new app was hyped up so much by the bank / old app before the new app was mandated to be used.

Had to change my password to use the new app.

Can’t peak at my balance from opening TriCounties screen.

The old app was bad but this one is just as bad. Says my login info is wrong but I can log on the web browser. Update is terrible. The bank itself is terrible!

Where did the useful features of bill pay go? Categories? Running total? Useable calendar?
Paper checks and an abacus would be easier!

Absolutely frustrating. Caused me to get locked out and had to call as a result. Why make a new app that doesn’t even work?

Now I cannot login. Why start a whole new app with so many bugs. Seriously so annoying. I was forced to “update” but it wasn’t a update I had to download a new app.

Maybe the developer got paid too early. Joke is on the bank.

I hate this bank

I’m changing banks because of TriCounties. Randomly Face ID gets turned off, passwords can’t be anything close to the old password, but it makes me change the password so often there’s no way to know what it is anymore. I just want to check my balance and pay my bills, instead I spend a half hour resetting the password.

Full of bugs, restore previous app please

I have nothing but trouble with this new banking app. Right now I am unable to transfer funds from savings to my checking account. It just errors out. This is making it impossible for me to pay a very serious bill. please restore the old app. I never had problems like this before with it.

13 Years Wasted

The whole “online Banking” has always been buggy and broken. But as of recently it’s been completely unprofessional and a inconvenience. I never has accurate banking info such as Credit, History And balance. I will be switching banks soon!

The alerts aspect needs a bit more instruction for users. They were hard to figure out and frustrating.

Each time I want to sign in, it asks for the update and all my sign in info again and again and again. Please fix it ASAP.

This “update” is not an improvement

The new app might be considered an update by the bank but it’s certainly not an improvement. It feels like a step back. Among other annoyances, I’m having to update TriCounties every time I sign on. I won’t repeat the problems that have already been identified by other users. To maintain its credibility the bank needs to acknowledge the issues ASAP and take the steps necessary to improve its online/digital interface.

Terrible app

This is a confusing app. I can’t make a mortgage payment in the amount I want it to be I was just talking to a representative who told me I am going to have to make a total separate payment to pay additional on my mortgage.

Much of it still works, BUT...

Two stars because this ‘blue’ version (as opposed to the ‘yellow’ one) didn’t break EVERYTHING, some things still work. Absolutely nothing is better than the previous version, and I just wasted half an hour fighting with this STUPID app without finding any way to simply CHANGE THE AMOUNT of a recurring payment. You can see the amount, and you can “pay now” (NO THANKS), and you can “cancel” it entirely (NFW), and you can send an additional payment adding up to the correct amount (enjoy paying the extra postage and printing costs, TCB), but there’s no way to change the amount or even create a new recurring payment and then canceling the old one, so I’ll have to do this every month. Grr.

I think the Bank app is ok it at times is down and I don’t have access to my account. That effects me a lot because I have different agencies that pull money from my account for payments. Also it’s seems to take a long time for things to process when I use my account.

Bring back the old system

I think the new app is crap. I felt I had much more control over my transactions with the old system, this one tries to take the thinking out of transacting business and I feel I have lost control of my banking.

App still will not work

I have been trying to just transfer between my checking and high yield savings account which is located on another app for over a month. I’ve been to the bank, they don’t understand TriCounties . If I write a check it gets “kicked” out of the system. Test deposits were blocked. Finally they fixed it to where test deposits will go through but only to my credit cards not saving accounts. I understand they are trying to push their high yield cd. I don’t want to lock up our money and the interest rate is still not as high as some other banks basic savings accounts. I can’t even send a message to TriCounties developer. I have to leave a rating in order to get a bug fixed. I should be able to make a simple transfer. It’s been a month and a half. I feel like they don’t want us to transfer (our) money for some reason. We’ve been $@?! blocked….plus my other rating isn’t even up here?

Tri County app

I hate it. When paying bills it doesn’t add the total billed on that session like before. Also it doesn’t subtract from the total in the checking account until the check is cleared so I’m always having to subtract pending bills. The previous app did that and made it easy. This new one is a real pain to use. It makes me want to switch banks with an easier Bill Pay. Oh and THAT On first click to bill pay that screen is useless and have to go to options then choose bill pay. Ugh

Tri-co banking app

Been with Tri-co since the merger with Norbank. Several banking options on TriCounties are now gone. Some of which should have been kept during this last total upgrade. It’s not procedural it’s the attitude of your help desk. I don’t need to hear ‘I don’t know’ or I’ve never heard of that’. Your help desk personnel should know your app thoroughly.

It’s ok

As I tried to log in I got a pop up that my account is unavailable at this time. I like the mobile deposit option, but it has often told me it cannot read it with no clear reason why. I had to deposit at an ATM and it didn’t process for a week. Probably more a banking issue rather than an app issue, but sometimes hard to tell.

TOO OLD FOR THIS STUFF

About the same time that you “upgraded” your on line banking program, my computer died and I got a new iPad. Like I said in the title, I’m way too old (86) to be learning all this new cr**!!!
I’m muddling through it all, but I spend a lot of time being confused!
When will you young whippersnappers learn that new doesn’t always equal better!

BTW, I’ve been an on-line banking customer for close to 30 years. I’ve ALWAYS found your people to be extremely patient and helpful.

I have been with Tri Counties for years. I bank on line using their app. I am very happy with TriCounties and the way they designed it. I can do most of my banking on line. I especially like depositing checks from home.

Sometimes TriCounties takes FOREVER to load my information, and sometimes it won’t load at all (even after completly closing TriCounties and restarting). It can be frustrating when trying to access my account.

Tri Counties has been my go-to bank for many years now! The staff has been very helpful during a time when there had been fraudulent behavior in my checking account. They followed it up and I was credited all that had been removed. I was VERY pleased!

Okay service

I’ve been a long time customer with Tri-Counties bank. Although, I appreciate the fact, they made a mobile app, TriCounties has a lot of issues. It always tends to say error unexpected at times we need to use it the most. And I have found it sometimes the amount of money that’s in my checking account isn’t always the same amount. It seems to have a lag in catching up with what is your accurate amount of money in there. Overall, I’m just saying it’s an OK app.

Mostly excellent

My only issue with TriCounties is that it is very picky when depositing checks through it. It usually takes me multiple tries to deposit checks that other banking apps accept on the first try. Other than than that one problem, 5 stars.

Honestly I’m writing this while dying on my toilet post drinking sesh with the boys, and it asked me to review TriCounties so I’m doing this mostly as a distraction. Tri-counties bank is dope tho fr and TriCounties works great. Idk what else to say, it’s a bank app. It gives you your bank account details. It works great. That’s all.

Usable but not impressive

I have several different bank accounts, and this online app is the worst. It’s usable and does what it’s supposed to do but it’s clunky, especially the Bill pay. In order to get the confirmation number you have to go to a separate element of the site and it’s very difficult to set upautomatic payments that work correctly.

Well organized and easy to use. I’ve been with this app for a long time and I hve always liked their online banking products. I would love to see the interest rates on loans, you still need to call or get paper statements to see this information.

I have had this app Bank since they took over North Valley Bank and, from the small everyday dealings I haven’t had much interaction with them. Everyone seems very friendly and helpful. Sorry that’s about as much as I can say.

Would like to have an option to pay direct payment to others accounts. Also would like to see more info on debits to understand where the debit was spent. Otherwise easy to use!
