Worthless App

Downloaded because the Gulf gas station I use recently stopped allowing me to enter my phone number at the pump to get the discount. I guess they just decided to make things more convenient for me by making things more inconvenient for me. Anyway, I had hoped for at least a simple and straightforward interface that quickly let me interact with the pump as I normally do. Unfortunately, that is not the case. For a major gas company, this is an embarrassing app with no polish that provides no actual function other than forwarding me to an equally unpolished web interface. It requires me to enter my phone number, then sends me a text message that I have to open up which then brings me to a website in safari where I have to allow location services to detect the Gulf Station that I am at and then select the pump number that I am going to use. All this before I’ve even paid and my head is buried in my phone the entire time; not very safe in a gas station. This does not save me time at the pump and is an embarrassing implementation that should be completely overhauled. Gulf clearly doesn’t care about this app, so I don’t care about their gas. I’ll use the BP that’s right down the road instead; much easier to save myself 5 cents.
Always a problem!

Whenever I’m at home or at pump there’s almost always a problem with this app. Either no connection to internet, or just plain doesn’t load. I usually go to nearest station to my home, and if there’s a problem, a majority of the time the help doesn’t either understand English, at times have no knowledge of this App even existing, or have no way of helping me. I’ve called headquarters in Massachusetts and they’ve been wonderful in helping me after the problem. But I shouldn’t have to do this! Gulf you’ve lost me as a customer at times, and that’s just poor planning on your part!! You need to improve your App like BP does!
The app never works

I was supped to get .20 cents off on my first 3 fill ups didn’t even get the .5 everyday discount. You can’t pay at the pump never works in the app. Also if you bring phone in no one knows how to scan the barcode to pay .. you guys have a lot of things to fix no way to contact support email says invalid that is provided in app. People download this to save money not have issues with every part of the app cause I’ve tired all the features of this app and none of them work not one .
