To-do List - Todo Reminders Reviews

I really liked TodoList for a solid 6 months and it had become a staple in my day-to-day life to keep me on top of my goals. It helped me create and keep on top of a number of habits I was trying to build into my daily routine, and helped me stay productive. I recently cancelled my premium subscription and deleted TodoList to move to a new app. TodoList would constantly be upgraded to new versions that caused TodoList to be barely functional - super slow to load, glitchy, I would randomly get notifications for tasks I didn’t set notifications for, the default settings I configured weren’t followed when I’d add a new task etc. Usually when I reached out to TodoList developers to let them know, I’d get a response and it would be fixed swiftly. However, the last time it happened I received no response, and TodoList was basically unusable due to a recent update. I also reached out requesting if certain functionality could be made available, again, no response. Due to the lack of support and communication, I cancelled and moved to a new app that functions much better and has way more features.

I was looking for an app that I could program the times for my elderly Mom to take her medications. Im so glad there aren’t any in-app ads or purchases. That would be confusing for her or any elderly confused with technology or struggling with some dementia.
I love the graphic options in TodoList. I set it all up for my Mom. looking so cute with the sunflowers. Then put times for her to take her medications. Even added some significant Birthdays I know she’d want to remember. Chose the best options for her alert sounds. Hoping they were alert/alarm that would continue to sound until my Mom heard it. Found her phone. Read the alert. Then turned it off. However, the alert is not an alarm. Darn. Let me know when the techs add this feature. I can’t find it on any other app. More sounds to choose from would be helpful too🙂 Thank you for this beautiful app. I’m sure your masterpiece is not finished yet😁

I have downloaded and discarded so many reminder apps the past two days my head is spinning! Either they don’t let you set repeat reminders, or they don’t have categories, or they list your tasks by date created or alphabetically but not by time due (so my 8pm reminder on my daily to do list is first and my 6am reminder is 8th…why even bother? This one has everything I want especially simplicity. The reason I have to keep looking is it’s too hard to see. The font size of the tasks is very small, nowhere near the size (normal size) on Reminders. The text is also a light black rather than bold, so that makes it even harder to see. I would gladly pay for an app that had everything I want (I want my Reminders app to work but that’s never going to happen) but I think it’s back to the drawing board.

Lag- I love that the cell app syncs with my phone but there is a lag on the macbook air version

Backgrounds- So cute but why isnt there a color wheel option? Im sure other users would also like to create their own background colors

Sorting- We can sort by due date, which is helpful, but Im sure users like me would also prefer to sort by category (work, school etc)

Category colors- I'd like the option to make tasks under a colored category appear as that color (color wheel preferred so users can choose). For example, work category is made green so all tasks for work are the same color green. I personally would like to look at my home screen and be able to differentiate which are for work, school, etc based on their colors

I love TodoList, it is so useful to help me remember my daily tasks either it is small or a large task. This makes a cheerful sound when you have completed and checked off a task. This helps me not to procrastinate and get things done, and when I don’t finish things it sends me a message reminding me and then I get my things DONE!!!!

I love how I can just look on my phone and see what I need to do and then just do it and how when I get home from school my reminder is on my phone and all I have to do is look and so then i can study for tests and look at everything that that I need to do love TodoList and will use it fore a look time

TodoList will make sure that you don’t miss out on doing the stuff you need to do and you can even make tasks for the future like if you have to do something in the future you can just put it in your to do list app.

It is l easy to use and makes life easier with task. With reminders and being able to schedule a task and certain time and having reminders to make sure you don’t forget you will never need another organization app.

It’s not working and I just paid premium - please fix ASAP. Other than that, I love TodoList , it does need more themes, though

I really liked TodoList as it was simple enough to be efficient while having enough features to keep organized. There were a couple bugs like dropping recurring tasks or having them twice, but overall it was a very streamlined experience. However, it recently became so slow to load it was totally unusable to me and I had to switch apps.

I really like TodoList but I got it because of the widget options they have. Now that I have tried everything to add it to my home screen it doesn’t allow it. I have installed and uninstalled TodoList so many times and it still doesn’t let me. I turned off my phone as well and I even checked to see if I needed to upgrade but its none of those. It’s pretty annoying because I’m paying for the Pro which it shouldn’t be problem.

It’s super easy to set categories, dates, times for reminders. The only issue is I can’t set task for reoccurring. When I press daily or weekly the screen freezes and turn dark grey, like it’s trying to load a new page. If that feature worked it would be the perfect ADHD app

The time and reminder functionality are broken, you cannot set the time and reminder to the time you want, only the current time and it resets the day.

Please fix, I sent an email about this and received 0 response.

i have been using TodoList consistently since i started college for about 5 months now. i love it for the checklist and the times and dates you can set too!! however, today i started noticing that i can’t choose the correct date or time for a few of my events. i’ll click on the right time and date, and when i submit it, it restarts the time and date to be wrong. is there a fix for this?? other than that, it’s been great to use!!

I'm not sure why no reminder apps can handle time zone changes but so far I've tried literally dozens of apps and only two so far support time zone changes. Not sure why there seems to be some assumption that I only want notifications in one time zone ever but apparently no one that uses these apps ever travels outside of their home time zone.

Great way to keep your self organized you can get different backgrounds and It’s fun to cross of your list and you can make a list about anything you like but it does chime a lot but I still like TodoList 👍🏻

I was excited at first about TodoList. However it keeps dropping some of my daily recurring tasks from the list from one day to the next, which is very frustrating and so I no longer use TodoList .

i have been looking for an app to add a widget to my phone so i can boldly see what i have coming up. based on the images shown when i clicked on TodoList and the positive reviews.. and some negative. but the creators truly responded in a way, to better TodoList , to help all. im very excited to see how this can help my adhd brain to remember such simple task that will help me.

After a month of having this I get frustrated each time I attempt to clear off my list it freezes on me. I have to get out several times just to get it to work. Paid for it and now I can’t get it to work properly. Deleted the application.

I see I’m not alone in a belated discovery: buying lifetime premium on one platform gets you nothing on the other. Been so long since I ran across this type of dev, I’d forgotten the ilk existed. My bad for not checking thoroughly here first. Fine. Least I can warn others here and elsewhere.

Where has TodoList been my whole life? It is so user friendly and intuitive. Take 5 minutes to type in your work and personal tasks and ta da! No more scatter brain. Nothing falls through the cracks anymore. If I can do this…anyone can. A real life saver.

I thought TodoList thinking would be just a Calendar but no I check it more often and it actually tells me I never go on Calendar anymore because calendar just doesn’t do anything so for the staff does it’s recommended because you can put it just a Calendar and you can put songs but only bad part is premium a lot of people want premium but they can’t get it because their parents will afford it but overall it is amazing developers. I think you did a good job.

TodoList is so amazing but I am hesitant to buy because the ability to add my own habits is not there. It would be so amazing if we were able to customize our own habits.. other than that I would definitely recommend TodoList to others.

I loved TodoList. Have been using it for three months and then it just gets stuck. It will load but you can’t get anything to move. Tried to restart it several times in this time period and it didn’t help. Tried to uninstall and reinstall and I lost everything. It still has the same problem! Really upset. Back to paper I go. Too much important data lost

TodoList is awesome and helps me get my things done, there are just a few issues. For example, when you try to change your background all of them are pro except a few a of the colors. Because of this you can see a to do list in the background that isn't yours. This way I can't see my to do list because the words are white. I don't know if there is a way to fix that or not however. Thanks for reading! (Hopefully it makes sense)
