A no show when it counts

Bought EpiCentr nearly a year ago when my boy had an unexplained seizure. Programmed it to his phone, and then notifications to his mother, sister and I. He had a big seizure today that we were all present for. Has his phone on his and his Apple Watch as well. NO NOTIFICATIONS SENT TO ANY OF US. The security we thought we had isn’t what we thought. A waste. I won’t renew. I’ll sell a refund.

Doesn’t work as intended

So far my son has had 4 seizures and we were not alerted. The watch was on, the settings set to the most sensitive detection and monitoring was on.

In addition, the parent app or shared user app can only see logs, so parents have no way of adjusting settings or ensure EpiCentr is set to “monitoring” unless they have the child’s phone.

The only alerts we get are false alerts.

Won’t Connect

What EpiCentr should do is great! What it does, is not so great.
I go to EpiCentr on my phone to connect my watch. It says to open EpiCentr on my watch to connect (I already have EpiCentr installed). I open EpiCentr on my watch. It says to open EpiCentr on my phone and connect. So it won’t connect on either side, and both my phone and watch just tell me to connect to the other device. Neither thing works, defeats the whole purpose of it. If anyone can help me, that would be great, EpiCentr would be great if it would connect. Let me know!

Alert

I’m on the contract list for a friend who has seizures and a few days ago she had a seizure and I did not get an alert on my phone but when I logged into the link it says that I received an alert for her. I’m not sure what went wrong but I need to be able to get the alert like an alarm going off. Is there anything I need to know to correct this.

Apple Watch died in monitoring mode

My events occur while sleeping only so I need a more passive monitoring mode. When activating monitor during sleep cycle it drained my Apple Watch battery to dead. I like the ideas EpiCentr has of dropping a pin and alerting contacts however a suggestion would be to use a passive monitoring system so those of us that don’t get to witness our auras have a chance for EpiCentr to actually work because our devices aren’t forced to be drained from monitoring 24/7. Engage in a more efficient method and I would gladly purchase the subscription and increase ratings.

Good and bad

I put this on my sons watch which I bought solely to monitor his seizures heart rate and pulse ox which I do truly wish EpiCentr also covered. One down fall is my son has spasticity disorder so if I put it on before he is half a sleep his spasticity movement sets off the alarm and sends emergency contacts false alarms.

Good but could improve

Hi, I don’t want to be to critical as I do love this concept! My issue is I would like it to automatically contact authorities. I live alone and sometimes have seizures. It would be way more convenient if authorities were notified rather than someone far away who can only really sit and worry. Sure they get coordinates of where I am but it’s inconvenient. All the other features are great and there’s a lot of potential!

Contacts

I would love to be able to use one emergency contact instead of having to come up with two I don’t have that many people to contact.

Heart Rate Changes

Our child has a hx/dx of Epilepsy but as lately has had a lot more complex issues (possibly associated with POTS)- one being tachycardia. It seems like her device is assuming that her elevated HR is caused by a seizure which sends an automatic notification. Is there a way to get the notification to indicate what the HR reading is? Not sure If know the different cell between a HR associated with a seizure vs. regular elevated HR.

Account set up

I wanted to set up my account using my Apple ID, however the selection would not work. I had to use my google account which I rarely use. Is there any way to change this?

As the person looking after my wife

I would like to add notes to my app because you don’t know how to describe or rate it; to disclose the entire episode without going over to her app

Handled like a pro.

I had app issues and they handled my concerns promptly and quickly. Even mentioned a free mode that I recommend checking out! Thank you for the wonderful assistance I received.

A must have!!!!

I have epilepsy that isn’t very controlled, and I am a student that stays at home alone. EpiCentr has changed my life. I had so much anxiety while being alone and worried something would happen and no one would know. EpiCentr has given me SO MUCH peace of mind. It is pretty sensitive to repetitive movements even when on the lowest setting BUT I love it. It gives myself and my family so much peace when though it might alert for small things. My recommendation is to make a group message just for your alerts. It makes it way easier to have everyone notified if it’s just an accident, and if it is an emergency makes communication way easier. Across the board this is worth the monthly charge and I would recommend it to any of my fellow epileptic and non epileptic friends!!!💜

Nice simple app

Been using EpiCentr for tracking episodes, medicine changes, and monitoring while sleeping. Watch alert has able to detect tonic clonic seizure through shaking and alert my wife.

Log Only

So far I’ve used the logging feature only. Basic, but I like the ease of use, pre-set categories, and the export feature. The export creates a pdf that you can email or text (family, dr, etc).

Highly recommend for Epilepsy

EpiCentr gives total piece of mind after my wife had 8-12 Tonic Clonic seizures in a 15-30 minute period. After have these I immediately sought out the best! EpiCentr allows me to be away from my wife but be notified if she has another seizure. I’m already impressed with EpiCentr as it syncs with her Apple Watch to monitor & detect seizures! Luckily we haven’t had to test it yet, & hopefully we won’t, but we will have some peace of mind knowing that we will have it if we do need it & it can alert us immediately so we can call 911. Better to have it & not need it, than need it & not have it.

Quick response for my family

I give EpiCentr 5 stars. It has worked great for my daughter and when we added myself, the company created a way for my husband to get alerts from us both! The customer service has been incredibly helpful for our family.
Thank you, sincerely.

It’s a great app with amazing help for those in need

As a disabled adult without a lot of EpiCentr offers options to make it work. I love the fact I can tack seizures by both my own self if told about them but also have EpiCentr able to do so. It is also got wonderful staff that help with needs. If you have any form of seizures this should be your go too. I highly recommend.

Peace of mind

It isn’t perfect as it doesn’t catch all types of seizures but does help with alerting when heart rate is high or abrupt movements. It has alerted my husband to a few seizures in the past few months and he was able to help me. Sometimes it is too sensitive but it is easily fixed. I feel safer with EpiCentr knowing when I am away from home, I am still connected to my family.

Best app by far!

I love EpiCentr so much more than the other one’s I’ve tried. I have access to all of the features without having to pay. It sends my exact location and it is very accurate. This is been a literal life saver for me!

Features

- Seizure Detection: By utilizing your Apple Watch, the app monitors various seizure-like triggers, such as motion patterns associated with tonic-clonic seizures, different types of falls, and abnormal heart rate.

The app actively monitors seizure-like triggers, promptly alerting your designated emergency contacts if a seizure is suspected.

If any of these triggers are detected, the app initiates a delayed alert, which will be automatically sent to your emergency contacts if not manually canceled within 30 seconds.

Specifically, our watch app utilizes Apple HealthKit to track user’s heart rate, while leveraging the gyroscope and accelerometer on Apple Watch to monitor the user's arm motion.

Over time, the app consolidates all this essential data in one convenient location, providing you and your healthcare provider with detailed reports featuring important descriptive statistics.
