4.5 out of 5
SCAM

Read the reviews - you’ll notice they’re ALL saying it’s a scam, but for some reason some are 4 and 5 star reviews despite saying it’s trash.

Bottom line - it is NOT free, in fact it charges you EVERY 7 DAYS. It also does not give you any option to exit before subscribing - you just click through the tutorial and it tries to sign you up for the subscription if you aren’t paying close attention.

There are plenty of free two factor apps from reputable companies that do the exact same thing, no need to pay these con artists.

Thank you so what I want you to do is to help me Si no body can get into my phone

Everything about TheAuthenticatorApp is good

Didn’t work at all still charged even after cancellation

It didn’t work or I wasnt able to use it correctly one. I cancel it yet still even tho unused and the card canceled I was still charged.

Dishonest trash

Why do I have to pay for an Authenticator app when there are tons of free ones available online? This is a cheap and petty money grab. If they truly cared about account security and the well-being of their users they would allow the use of one of the other common 2FA apps out there. Trashy and greedy tactics by Valve.

Worthless app

Don’t download it. It won’t work unless you subscribe to it and even when you do it still won’t connect you to what you want/need for the codes. Worthless app, worthless security system. DONT GET IT!!!

Useless stupid app

I need a negative star rating. I’ve used TheAuthenticatorApp for years with no problem, now it has decided I don’t exist and there seems to be no way I can talk to ANY help service. Microsoft says they have answers to >307,000 questions, but NO help in how to communicate with the service.

Chase the Microsoft tail that wiggles

I am now going through my second hour of chasing my tail to retrieve my Hotmail account. Naturally, I have to unscramble what Microsoft has gotten incorrect. Including my birthdate with the stuff they’ve sent me. This is after they have tried to get me to change from Hotmail to Outlook to edge to one other one but I can’t remember which one it is, I should’ve changed to Gmail along time ago. Hold your hat because Microsoft will change it still again. I call it the edge of the abyss.

Dirtbag Ad

Please don't download this boosted app. There's better FREE authenticators out there. I downloaded because it was the first one that popped up when I searched for steam authenticator. Got greeted with a payment screen 😂

Borderline fraud tbh

Lost my account due to update

Well I just lost my account due to TheAuthenticatorApp updating and can’t get into certain apps that require 2FA codes from TheAuthenticatorApp that’s been deleted. Please help

Garbage

App was good at first until it came with a subscription and ad update, somehow deleted all my Qr’s and couldn’t get it back to verify things. Creator got greedy now it’s a terrible app & I do not recommend.

Pointless

Used for a few months then it reset itself and disassociated itself with all my accounts/ codes making itself useless and a burden to overcome.

“Free” (NOT)

TheAuthenticatorApp is free, for you to flip through the tutorial, then it hits you with, “subscribe to use TheAuthenticatorApp .”

Literally they don’t even warn you, it’s just to get more downloads at this point. I’m uninstalling it, don’t put “free” if I can only open TheAuthenticatorApp and stare at it, there is no physical use of it.

Trash App

If you have a payment company that uses TheAuthenticatorApp just send them a check because they must like AR.

Terrible.

I've had problem after problem with TheAuthenticatorApp. After turning off TheAuthenticatorApp and settings on a social media account I was locked out of my accounts. The new "update" has more bugs than before. Most of the time I can't get past the passcode screen into actual app!! Definitely preferred the older version.

Scam

TheAuthenticatorApp uses intentionally misleading images to lead you to believe it is an app to use for 2fa for various services. It is not related to any of those services and who knows what they do with information they get from you.

Just downloaded

Time will tell

Working good

Seems working really well

So far so good

It’s my first time using a 2FA app, but so far this is great!

Subscription Needed

When I download TheAuthenticatorApp it automatically asked me to rate TheAuthenticatorApp -/5 stars and told me that I had to subscribe, there was no other option to using TheAuthenticatorApp which forces you to subscribe, major red flag.
