So I’ve got a pure blood Blue Russian to test as a trial run and it gave me complete wrong answers and even if I use the same picture, I get drastically different results.

Told me the cat was a Singapura when a quick google search of a calico Singapura shows just how incredibly wrong that is.

My cat is the most Siamese looking Siamese and it told me she was a Nebelung. Tried another picture of the same cat in the same pose, taken just seconds after the first one, and it said Somali. Took one more and it said Turkish Angora. You can’t reliably identify an animal’s breed from just a picture

It's horrible it called my cat a sphynx when it had a bunch of hair each time it gave different answer each time😡

I scanned the same cat five times and got five very different results! Also—it only allows you to take five pics before forcing you into a subscription. I deleted it immediately.

So I was able to use it no problem, but when I put a photo of my tabby cat, (who by the way has visible hair like any tabby!) it said my tabby cat was a sphinx. Clearly CatBreedIdentifier doesn’t work.

At times it's way off, then at times, it's a tiny slither correct. And I used different pictures of the same cat, so that doesn't make sense.

I took a picture of my literal black sock, and it told me it was a York chocolate cat, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was very not at all spot on with the breeds it was choosing. I did two different pictures of the same cat, and it gave me like 2 different breeds, and I was like whaaaat? So yeah, don’t download this unless you wanna be disappointed, but do download it if you want a good laugh. ❤️ 2 stars.

Asking someone to subscribe so they can get inconsistent, and likely wrong answers is strange. It’s a fun app and I understand you need to make money, so try ads or something.

I tried it on my sis and she is a cat. So I did me, I’m 100% Turkish van 💀 it is not accurate tho. My mom is a Russian blue cat it said like what on earth 😭🔫

My cat is apparently an American curl. But her ears don’t curl and she is way older than two days. At least It’s funny to look at all the weird breeds CatBreedIdentifier will say your cat is.

So I’ve run the identifier numerous times with different photos and it keeps telling me my cat is a Tortoiseshell breed, that’s a color of a coat not a breed. Many different breeds can have that coloring. Lol.

I was sitting down on my bed wondering what was my cats breed that I’ve owned for a while now I searched up on google and CatBreedIdentifier popped up so I downloaded it I put some pictures of my cat it said it was a domestic shorthair so I tried another app it said it was mixed with a tuxedo cat and a domestic shorthair!

Future adoption families sure do love a backstory as far as their fluff babies breed lineage. And it can also attract people who might not usually adopt from a rescue. Having a Persian-Siberian sounds pretty fancy.

There are many cats around in the parks near the place I live, so CatBreedIdentifier comes in handy. Also, the scan history allows you to keep track of the breeds you've scanned.
