Why isn’t Z up?

Why does it use the Y axis as up in AR and print SIM? Z is up.

If you’re going to bring objects into reality with AR and print sim, you have to abandon the graphics Y up scheme and use engineering coordinates. Robots, 3D printers, everything outside of the monitor is Z up. Basically anything you make AR in 3DModelViewer is on its front, not bottom.

Also the AR size is consistently incorrect. I placed a few actual 3D prints next to an AR version. Some were larger than reality some were smaller. Nearly the entire range of the slider was required to make them all match in size. The size thing is pretty forgivable compared to Y being up, but if it was accurate it would be a pretty useful feature.

I can’t do even one thing at all

You can’t freely rotate your model, can’t place it in your environment … The paint function just assigns a random color to the entire model. Not really sure what the purpose of 3DModelViewer is

Good until it crashes non stop

First model worked great. Bought it to import a large model and then it crashed 3DModelViewer . Wont open.

Reinstalling fixes it until you try to import the big model again. Disappointing as I did like the apl for smaller models.
