Nothings happening

It keeps telling me to hold up my device to the screen, does a countdown to 0 and keeps showing the instruction to hold up my device to phone. Nothing else happens. I thought butterflies or something was gonna jump out at me but nope. Looked left right and down of rv and nothing but the screen showing the same instructions to put up my phone then eventually says I gotta rewind to do it again. I now remember how frustrating technology can be. Sounded cool.

Poorly executed “metaverse” test

For having its own dedicated app, the AR experience is underwhelming and accompanies an even more mediocre short. It’s clear that the budget for this project were paper thin and isn’t an encouraging sign for Disney’s metaverse prospects.

One scene?

This is really dumb. It starts out so promising and then it’s just an app for one scene for an 8 minute short. Disappointing and really dumb.

Not worth the download

I love that my wife’s first thought was “great now Disney knows what our living room looks like” lol

Apparently adults only

When Remembering opens it asks for an age. I entered 6 for my daughter and it says she’s not old enough. Remembering itself says ages 4+!

Waste of time

The AR experience includes a waterfall coming out of your TV, a pond and some dolphins. It lasts about 15 seconds. Not worth the trouble of downloading Remembering . Don’t bother with this one. Not memorable at all.

Disappointed

I was genuinely disappointed when there was only one scene.

That was 10 minutes I will never get back

Okay what was the point for 1 downloading an app. 2 having to be 18+ for it to work. And 3 for the experience to only last 30 seconds!!! Come on Disney do better. If the experience was 8 minutes long like the video on Disney plus then I would give 5 stars. A serious waste of time.

Remembering app doesn’t work

I tried using Remembering three different times, I watched the video twice and closed everything, I even deleted it and tried again. Remembering kept saying to hold my phone up but nothing happened and than told me to rewind because I missed the scene. I heard the words come on let’s go and nothing happened.

it's ok

It was ok but there was only 1 scene and by looking by the other reviews and ratings it's not that good. If you are going to get Remembering I would not really recommend it because there is lots of other good games better than this one because I would rate this 2 stars out of 5.

30 second experience

This video as well as Remembering is extremely enigmatic. what they don’t tell you is that the experience does not last the whole of the eight minute short, it’s just for one 30 second scene. Therefore you’ll spend more time downloading and installing Remembering then actually watching the AR animation it creates.

Confused

What exactly makes a stand-alone app worth the download? Could’ve easily been a web link of embedded on Snap/Insta. Totally disposable after 15 seconds of video interaction.

Not worth the download

Just watch the short the AR experience is pretty basic and is only for one scene of the short. The short itself is alright though.

Underwhelming

I’m hoping as time goes on, this will get even better. I was disappointed to see it was only one scene. I did take someone’s advice and “walk around” which did make it a better experience. Good concept, but definitely needs more.

Pretty Simple yet Worked in the Dark

AR worked just fine for me on an iPhone SE 2nd Gen. The experience was a little bland/unimaginative (for an imagination experience). But I just see it as Disney testing interest in this sort of thing and figuring out how it would work. It does (even worked for me in a completely dark room as it anchors to the bright TV). I hope they do more with it than a simple pond with untextured dolphin doodles and a couple trees. Say like a Star Wars action scene with spaceships coming out of the screen? 🤩 They could even take past movies and release new AR experiences for them. Now THAT would definitely increase the draw for a Disney+ subscription.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really cool app, glitched a little. I do wish that you could use it for more stuff, instead of it being a one minute use, but overall very happy.

Nifty Idea

Nifty idea but too short on the AR experience. It would have been nice for the AR to be more interactive with the movie.

The future is here.

The film was okay but the AR scene looked great. It seemed more like a simple story contrived for the sake of showing off Augmented Reality. I hope to see better AR films in the future.

Imagine the possibilities with AR technology. For example, you go to Disneyland with either your smartphone or AR glasses and see x-wing fighters fly by at Galaxy’s Edge. Or while waiting in line, ghosts coming out of the walls at Haunted Mansion ride. Perhaps Mickey can be your virtual guide and lead you to great places to eat or show you the quickest way to a particular ride. These are exciting times.

Awesome experience!

Such an awesome experience my family loved it, specially my kid! Can’t wait for more content … if there is more 😏

Want MORE!

This is awesome! What a great experience. Used my iPad for a better experience than a phone. Really cool how you could move the view to see the lake beneath you and tree growing beside you. Please do more!!!

So magical!!! ✨✨

Disney please do more of this!!

Cute

Only lasts a moment but it’s pretty cool

A beautiful experience

Simply magical.

Too cool - Gave me chills

I no longer love Disney like I used to - Their recent “attempts”(?) at bringing us more together is only resulting in further division.

That said, this was still so cool that it gave me chills.

Can’t believe that Remembering only has 3.6 stars at present. While I will admit - in hindsight - that it was a bit weird to have to download an app that was only used for one scene in the film; it’s worth this app that said film is also only eight minutes long.

Stand up and walk!!!!!

I think too many people are just looking at the screen through their phones while sitting on their couch. stand up and walk into the AR. that’s what makes Remembering so freaking awesome. you can literally even if only for a part of it walk into the film.

Magical

So cool and so magical.

Really cool

Don’t want to spoil it, but it makes you feel like the story is in your home.

Thanks Disney

Thanks for continue made this kind of short films. Im male 40 years old and was incredible the story i got to confess i was emotional.
And the 3d experience was grate thanks again.

Proof of concept

This is really cool PoC. Makes me wonder if things like apple glasses will be able to do this kind of thing in the future.

Really lovely interactive content

Remembering is lightweight, easy to use and the experience is beautiful!

The future is looking magical.

Cool concept!

Would love way more!!

Why only I phones

I know a lot of kids and families without IPhones

Magical ✨

My whole family thought it was fun, cute, and magical! Good experience for all age’s

i didn’t use the app

This was such a cute short film. I’m impatient so i didn’t use Remembering but i highly recommend watching it anyways. I wouldn’t waste much time with Remembering part. It was heartwarming. Very pleased.
