Paperback worked well enough before, but with this new "Beta" version Paperback has so many problems with repositories, crashes, and been just loading the images (log error over and over).
Until a new version comes out, I wouldn't recommend Paperback to anyone.

It broke the web view for the source I used, and I can’t even search the series i was reading up under the normal search anymore either. Also the in app reader leaves much to be desired, making the pages swipe slowly instead of an instant change. Other small issues here and there, very frustrating update. Please fix this, this was the go to app for manga reading before this!
by Cbacn16
The set up instructions are terrible and doesn’t tell you how to get things working at all. Recommend looking else where for instructions. Will update if I get it working.

Worked great on friend’s iPad. Downloaded onto my phone and the only source is this app so there aren’t any sources to download meaning there isn’t anything to read. But app description says it should work so I’m confused. Support website doesn’t work either as I can input words into the search bar but there is no way to send/enter the inquiry to see results.

Updated version crashes when you switch between items in your library. Was working well before the most recent version.
by TaintedMask
I have noticed that Paperback often crashed before but one day it just became completely unusable; it would crash whenever I opened it. This also made me unable to export my library so it left me with no choice but to restart my library and reading progress from scratch. In the process of uninstalling though, I found that Tachiyomi is now on iOS! Their iOS port has been working great so far.

I’d have given this a 5 back in the day but nowadays it just feels too bugged that I don’t even feel like reading anymore
The old version was simple, stable and functional
by Kavon Harris
I’m unable to track manga since the last update, the option is gone from the settings.
by Tantrumwoofwoof
Everytime I try to search, and I’m not even done with typing it out fully it crashes
by New Justice!
I believe there should be a marked as read feature because there are some chapters I've read already and want to pickup where I left off but the ones I've already read are marked as unread unless I scroll through all the chapters.
by Aefaal
Fantastic app but man if only it let you properly maintain your downloads (ie stop downloads in progress) or let you delete downloaded chapters that you even haven’t read would push this past 4 for me
by Wobby117
I don’t know if i’m missing setting or something but my history section won’t update anymore. It’s been a month and it won’t show any of the new things I read. Maybe a bug or maybe user error. Anyone know how to fix this?
by RandomRedMage
Not sure what the issue is, but the new update is crashing constantly when trying to sort my collections. It’s driving me insane. Hoping a new update comes quick to fix whatever issue I’m having is. Paperback is the whole reason I own an ipad lol.
by SrSpanksAlot
Just needs more time to get some convenience features. I came from tachiyomi and mangarock before that and honestly the main feature I miss besides unread chapter count is SYNC! I know people always ask for it but please just let me sync over iTunes 😭 I want to read on my iPad
by Joylesseric
This is a great app and I highly recommend it. There is also an issue when creating or logging in to your account on the iPad where the keyboard doesn’t pop up so you aren't able to type anything out.

Love Paperback even before it was official on the AppStore but the new update cause constant crashes and broke some of my sources. Hope it’s fixed soon
by RoyalSnek
You’ll most likely have to continually search for updates of those favorites of yours. Paperback has yet to give me any manga updates since install without me having to manually search. Not even the sort by update option works. Otherwise, Paperback works flawlessly
by Vinh3im
Ever since the last update, Paperback keeps on crashing on launch and I can’t get a hold of my manga list. Would hate to lose it 😞
by Bombinglunch
It was fine before now all sources are broken
by Hikarizx
It’s nice to see new features but addition of the new features seems to degrade app’s functionality. Some of the source are gone. If you have downloaded the manga from the source that are gone, they are listed in uninstalled extensions. You can add new source and download however you simply cannot remove/delete the downloaded manga from device from those uninstalled extensions. I tried to install the extensions but since it was 3rd party extension the website was scraped and now there is no extensions for those sites.

Please add Marvel Unlimited’s panel to panel mode! It’s incredibly helpful and other apps like YACReader support it, so it feels odd to see missing here.

Finally! Tachiyomi for iOS. I love almost everything about Paperback. Initial setup may not be user friendly and there’s still occasional bugs and errors but greatly looking forward to future developments.

Absolute best app but what to do when human desires kept growing. I usually repeat my favorite mangas and my favorite chapters but I usually forget to look out for the chapter numbers so it would be easier if there’s a bookmark feature in each manga.
Thank you very much for the amazing appreciation I truly am grateful and want more open source apps in AppStore but you get what you got.
by Xojanetown
This is one of the best reading apps.
No ads, custom themes, and all manga?! For free!!!
While it may be hard to find novels or chapter books, it is an amazing app for comic, manga, manwha, etc.
The optimal device for manga and comic books are the ipad because of the text to image size.
But for manwha and related texts phones are great for use.
Two amazing features are downsampling for potato phones or if you have bad service/ Wi-Fi.
The other feature is downloading books for the go.
It is also one of the few apps In general that allow you to customize its interface.
I have been using Paperback since the beta. Or for roughly 2 years.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes comics manga etc.
It may be a little hard to start using Paperback and getting sources. But once you find some and get used to sources and trackers. (Not bad trackers ones that you install yourself if you want). It is really useful.
You don’t have to but I would recommend supporting the dev. It’s your choice though.

Thank you so much for making Paperback. Its a iPhone version tachiyomi app for reading manga and manhua and so on. highly recommended for all iPhone users who reads mangas . I use it daily for 3-4 hours at least ❤️
by PewDieOie
Idk why people are saying this doesn’t work. I have it hooked up to a ton of different sources and have no issues with any of it - it has been and continues to be the best way to read manga on iOS. You just have to google how to get the sources, it’s extremely well documented and easy to set up.
by Titopan
Paperback provides an absolutely stellar UI that allows me to read my own manga on my phone. Everything I need without all of the annoying aspects of other manga apps. So far Paperback is 10-10. No complaints so far.
by AbielM16
As a Alpha and Beta tester I need to alert the people that Paperback does get lots of updates and is being worked on a lot daily. To note sources is not apart of Paperback. you will have to search online and easily to get your sources from such as Netsky Discord. Paperback is designed to be self online service komga client, honestly like similar other apps this one should never be taken down as it fully follows Apple guideline rules. DONT JUST RATE Paperback DOWN WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING HOW Paperback WORKS OR HOW TO MAKE OR GET SOURCES

Let’s be honest no matter the OS, all phones are generally used to perform the same kinda tasks. It’s normally smaller differences like app availability which give one OS an edge over the other. And Paperback is exactly that edge for iOS. I know many people who would be more open to purchasing an iOS device solely because of Paperback and because of how it represents iOS app dev restrictions heading into a better direction. Beautiful app btw.

I was really excited when this came out! From struggling to get on the TestFlight to this coming out as an app on the appstore, Paperback never managed to disappoint me.
by Lrdlos
I stared using this by chance, but I’ve stuck with it on principal. This is everything you need in a reader.
by Flab101
This is by far one of the best apps for reading manga. It has so many features including downloading. I have been using the beta TestFlight version in the past and loved it. Very exciting that the developers were finally able to get it on Paperback Store officially.

by Theregkid
Hands down this is the best manga app for iOS. I’m so glad it’s now on the AppStore

Hello from discord
by --Tcris1000--
It takes a while to setup, you don’t need komga. Once you have it setup it’s perfect though.
There isn’t any page padding, the UI while reading disappears completely when you tap and doesn’t show up when you scroll up.
You can read anything with NO ADS. Just add a source from netskys discord and you can read anything from said source. They update like normal too.
