great but needs work

a small amount of the content is incorrect, such as this app’s definition of human exceptionalism in the animal intelligence category. that topic also felt a little agenda pushy to me since it brought up a Christian teaching of how God gave humans dominion over animals, then tried to imply that this was an invalid hierarchy using their false definition of human exceptionalism lol. but in some other categories, the language remains unbiased, even when discussing sensitive topics such as religious beliefs. it just needs to be more consistent.

technicality wise, Kinnu is a little buggy. for most of the info i’ve already “strengthened” in Kinnu , it stays there and remains as something i’m going to forget soon even if i had just practiced it. then i have to answer those same questions each and every time i go to do the daily refresher. i have like 20+ questions in there now that have been repeating for over a week which makes it difficult to check out the new topics because it’ll just crowd the refresher even more.

Source?

I dislike how Kinnu presents most of its information, without any references to academic or peer reviewed sources, or cited works. It’s also unclear who is the author of each path, article, or what their educational background is. The good thing is you can suggest improvements to accuracy, but … there shouldn’t be inaccurate information.

The topics selections are strange. For example, there is no vocabulary or grammar in the Literature section. But you can learn about Shakespeare and Novels. You can learn about the History of English, but you can’t learn English syntax. Right now Kinnu strikes me as “Cram a bunch of info into an app and asking people if they remember it.”

I feel like it’s more geared for a trivia night than true academic learning. Seems like it approaches a wide breadth of topics with no depth. Not for me.

Really like but could improve

I really like this idea and enjoy learning topics in a smaller degree. I think the design and flow of lessons goes well too. The review at the end is also very helpful even if it does seem like I review the same things multiple times.

There are a few things it can improve though. One main thing is the glitch that sometimes keeps you from even opening Kinnu . Additionally, it was mentioned before, but it would be nice to have sources attached to the lessons as well. These improvements could make Kinnu much more enjoyable.

There is a lot to learn about!!

There is so much to learn about in Kinnu ! I really enjoy it and have learned anything from anthropology to behavioral economics! The developers care about helping communities learn new things. Kinnu has great potential and I look forward to learning on it just about every day! The literature and social sciences are particular interesting subjects that I like on there. They really break down information to remember what you learn each day. I highly recommend Kinnu to anyone wanting to learn general knowledge and variety of subjects. I’m learning about superlearning and neurodiversity today on Kinnu .

My FAVORITE app!

Wow I cannot believe Kinnu is free!!! It is so beautifully designed, thoughtfully planned, engaging, fun, inspiring.. I could go on and on. I think so much doom scrolling is really just misplaced curiosity, or it was in my case, and this has completely remedied that. I used to try the random article features on Wikipedia but it just wasn’t quite engaging enough to stay hooked. Kinnu, however, is a perfect way to satisfy curiosity with genuine learning. I tell everyone I know about it. Absolutely love this, thank you!?!

Free knowledge

Kinnu is amazing and doesn’t have a paid subscription. It’s Micro-learning that takes 3 to 10 minutes with a variety of topics that you can pick from. Information that can be trusted in a science based format optimized for learning and committing to memory. Plus, Fun daily challenges and creators that are open to and encourage user feedback.

Perfect

I’ve never taken the time to review any app before. Until now. this app has completely changed the way I look at learning. It makes it super fun and a session really does take less than 5 minutes, but I almost never want to stop that soon. This is the first time I’ve actually made a habit of learning because this app just makes it so easy.

Love it

Kinnu is awesome. I love that I can learn for free with no adds. I love the daily badges and all of the learning pathways.
The one thing I would note is that the memory quizzes could use a little work. I like how they are set up but I think they could use more important historical landmarks/dates/people in the quizzes rather than some of the info they have now.
But all in all I so appreciate Kinnu!

Thank you

Knowledge forms the foundation of any society, and how we use that knowledge reflects the health of the society. I appreciate the creation of Kinnu—it’s a great tool for increasing or refreshing your knowledge. While I wish I had better discipline, Kinnu helps make better use of my time, offering a meaningful alternative to scrolling through social media, which often highlights the superficiality of our culture.

Great app

Kinnu is amazing and replacing doom scrolling without a question. Being free is another great thing since everyone competitor app requires purchase. However this is an attempt to reach the developer, a feature that I think would be great and would help people keep better memory. Would be add either a “highlight feature” or “add to notes” feature. Thank you for creating this platform

Amazing - just one problem

Kinnu has been amazing as someone who just went on a social media detox. But I do have one problem. Everytime i click on my knowledge bank, it glitches out 2 seconds later and crashes Kinnu . This has been happening for weeks now. My phone is updated, my app is updated. I’ve restarted multiple times. This would be a perfect app if this was fixed

So much joy!

This is one of the best learning experiences ever ever had, and that includes undergraduate and graduate school at top flight universities. The developers somehow made learning addictive and fun. It’s a true bottom ip approach that really allows you to feel your knowledge base growing almost in real time. It’s exhilarating and I’ve yet to pay a cent or see an ad. Surely, monetization is coming, but I’m sure they will be creative and sensitive their user base in that part of the endeavor as they have been in every other part.

Very Awesome! However…

Amazing, I love this learning app. There’s no annoying advertising, no membership shoved in your face, and a great educational replacement for doom scrolling. Lots of different areas to help you learn and improve yourself.

However, there’s a few features shown that don’t work. Not sure if these are not yet implemented or what. I cannot change my brain name, nor color, or avatargami. Reminders always say “cannot set” when setting them, so I get no notifications from Kinnu .

Other than these complaints of not being able to use Kinnu to its full extent yet, it’s great and simple to use!

Incredible resource

I’m really enjoying Kinnu and I’m extremely appreciative that it’s completely free. I understand that will change eventually, but what we currently have is an absolute gift!

My only concern is that it does at time feel like the questions are repeated and I begin to learn the right answer for the quiz, instead of actually answering a question with my own knowledge. I’m memorizing the answers over time, not necessarily mastering the subject. I’m not sure there’s a fix for this, and it seems like a “me problem” but it’s my only gripe so far. I do wish there was an overall quiz you could take of completed orbs to test yourself. Also a web app would be brilliant.

Enough rambling, fantastic app!

Saw it in a Dream

The Fire was strong outside the blanket, smoke billowed around while heat gushed up to wake me! As I threw off the blanket I was shocked to see nothing but my room as it was! Later on God revealed that the mantle that covered me and shielded me was susceptible to the distractions that controlled me! I was being called to a new life away from negative emotions to the positive ones demonstrated by renounced psychologist Seligman and the Japanese reason for life called Ikigai! These are but 2 threads of knowledge I have as yet to discover in this app! Let the adventure continue!

Amazing app!

I’ve been looking for something like this for forever and I never thought it would be without ads or not cost hundreds! Every other “brain training” app out there is to just do puzzles which can be nice but not for me. Kinnu teaches you real concepts you’ll use in daily life or breaks down hard topics into easy chunk-sized pieces to slowly build up your knowledge. I love that it tracks what you’ve learned and consistently quizzes you on various past topics to make sure what you learn sticks with you long-term. This is unlike school where you memorize lots of facts, dump it on a test and forget it forever.
Truly a great app for developing overall useful and interesting knowledge!

Legit

The lessons are fairly short, the concepts straightforward, and the subject matter is challenging. I am super enthusiastic about this ap.

Some of the questions used to reinforce the lessons seem less concerned with the point and more concerned with the details- public school style. Nostalgic. 🤭

Seriously, I love this ap. It encourages me to lean in to my curiosity. I’m fascinated by things I assumed would be dull. It’s honestly an oasis in my day. I did not know that learning is a form of self-care, but it is!

Of course the amount I paid for this ap is…nothing and the commercials that constantly don’t pop up…what is going on here? How do I thank the people who created and are constantly improving this ap?

This is high quality education that’s not behind a paywall surrounded by a paymote guarded by payaligators and accessible only by a crooked and broken paybridge manned by pay guards who don’t care for my sort, anyway

A Game-Changing App for Lifelong Learning!

Wow, I can't express enough how much I adore the this app Super Power Learning app! It has been an absolute game-changer for me. Kinnu has opened up a whole new world of knowledge for me, and I've learned so much from it. The way it challenges me with tests while teaching me about various subjects is simply brilliant. I honestly believe it's the best app ever! Whether you're a kid or an adult, Kinnu is a must-have. I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for an app that will supercharge your learning, look no further than this app Super Power Learning!

The best app ever for learners!

I have no words to express how much I love Kinnu! I’ve always searched for an app that helps me learn new things I'm interested in while making it easy and fun, AND Kinnu DELIVERS! I cannot believe it is free (which makes me wanna donate some money to help keep it free) and free of ads which tend to distract from the learning. The lessons are well thought out and easy to digest, while provide rich information. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to get of time wasting apps and start being productive learners. Thank you for making such an amazing app!!

Awesome

I saw an ad for Kinnu while scrolling through Facebook and had to check it out. They have so many various courses in bite-sized pieces to study. This is awesome for people like me with ADHD who want to learn about everything but not everything about everything. I’ve learned in 10 minutes what I learned in three days in school.
