Won’t let you check in at back to back restaurants

I love burger week. I just went to two restaurants back to back. The app refuses to let me check in to the second restaurant because I just checked in somewhere else. It was over an hour between check ins.
As a burger enthusiast, I’m planning on going to two to three restaurants a day. I like to see how I rank versus other participants, but it’s impossible because it won’t let me check in.
The app is location based and makes you upload a picture to check, so there is absolutely no need for a third layer of security to prevent cheating.
I have a picture of the receipt, but now that I’m home, it still won’t let me check in because I’m no longer near a burger week restaurant.
