Downloaded this last year and had an absolute blast with it for a couple months. Took some time off from playing for personal reasons but recently decided to start playing again. To my behest, they changed BlockinColor for the worst due to the amount of ads that are in it.
Never when I played months ago did I ever get an ad DURING a puzzle and now I get them every single time! It’s absolutely ridiculous. For every 4-5 pieces you put down, an ad pops up. It’s disruptive and makes me want to close and delete BlockinColor which stinks because I LOVED playing this game. I personally refuse to pay for the ad-free version, mostly because the ads weren’t this bad last year when I downloaded it.

TLDR: ads before and after puzzles are fine; but get rid of the ads DURING the puzzles! It’s absurd and disruptive.

I played this game for awhile and it was fun…BUT I got to a hard level where the game malfunctioned and it accepted a piece in the wrong place so I couldn’t complete that level. I tried hitting the hint button to see if that would reset it somehow, but the game froze so I had to close it and start that level all over.

When I reopened BlockinColor , I was disappointed to see that one of my hints had been taken away even though I didn’t actually receive a hint. I have emailed the support team FOUR TIMES now over several weeks and have not heard one word from them!

I play a lot of games on my phone, so I have emailed support for other games many times and they are always quick to respond and help solve the issue. I don’t understand what the problem is with this team and I have stopped playing the game because they obviously don’t care about keeping their customers happy.

This is a 4+ app but shows 17+ ads! Thankfully I was playing at the time and not my kid but I don't know if they've seen one of the inappropriate ads. Completely unacceptable. Along with that the game isn't accessible to those who need to magnify their screen. The daily puzzles are zoomed out and there's no way to zoom in if you need that extra magnification. On top of that sometimes you place a block where the colors line up but it's not where BlockinColor wants you to put it so you get it wrong. OR it jumps and moves when you place it so it lands on the wrong one (right next to it). OR the pieces jump out of the tray when you're sorting through them and get counted as wrong. The concept has promise but the actual app is inappropriate for the age if it's intended audience and glitchy. Do not recommend.

I’m only giving one star because I can’t put zero. I like the idea of the game and was really looking forward to playing but there are numerous problems with it. First as many people have said there are way too many instances in which a certain puzzle piece can fit anywhere. And you can only make three mistakes before they start you over unless you decide to watch an ad for a second chance which I’m pretty sure people don’t like doing. If you’re going to make it where we can only make three mistakes then take away the multiple places for one piece of puzzle or if you decide to leave that and take away the three mistakes per puzzle thing. You can’t have both it makes the game harder and not in a good way. Second on the larger games there is no zoom in so that you can see the colors better. As a person with terrible eyesight that’s a major problem as I literally had to strain my eyes. And you could just make the argument of me not wearing my glasses but even then the pieces are still hard to see especially since there are usually always colors that are about the same shade. I only played literally four levels before I had to uninstall that. You had a great idea but you need to carry it out better.

The game is really fun and addictive but it freezes more and more as you progress. I made it to level 300 and when I get to the hard levels that requires 3-4 stages to finish it’ll freeze and I’ll have to start all the way over. Which makes the game tedious as I have to now sort through 4 stages of puzzle pieces to get back to where I was. It gets boring after that because it’s so many pieces to sort through and all the pieces for the first stage is at the bottom of the pile. The pieces also move on their own causing you to get an X. I would love this game much more if it wasn’t for the errors. It became boring after a while because of this.

I love this game and play it frequently. However, I'm only rating it 3 stars because of problems in game play. You can lay a piece on the board in the right place and when you let go if it the game jumps it down one which then of course gives you an error. If you get lucky it'll jump it back into the tray instead of on the wrong place on the board but usually it's the former. It also jumps pieces out of the tray and puts them on the board but this usually only happens on hard levels. My other complaint is the hard levels. There's only one tray full of 3 levels of pieces which I said earlier tend to jump onto the board on their own. Plus trying to move the pieces around on these levels is time consuming and tedious. Frequently the pieces needed for the first board are on the bottom and the pieces aren't easily moved around since they tend to go back where they've just been moved from. It would be much more fun if they added 1 or 2 empty sorting trays. All in all I love the game but hate the mechanics. I'm beginning to think they set it up this way intentionally to cause mistakes so the player is forced to watch ads. If you're patient and don't mind watching ads forced by the game's screwups you'll probably enjoy this game as do I.

I love this game, but it’s buggy in regards to the ads, if you fail and want to get another shot by watching an ad a lot of the time you have to keep on clicking it bc it will say unavailable.

I also wish that the ‘unique levels’ they offer sometimes actually worked. It says to watch an ad for a special level but it has never worked when I try to get it. This is pretty frustrating because the best part of the game are the detailed challenges, but you only get a daily one and then basically cycle through like 20 of them over and over. I just wish it had more variety in levels.

Love it but I have the same issues and complaints as everyone else - except the ads don’t bother me (everyone deserves to make a buck or two).
1. Give me a save option so if I have to go to something else my progress won’t be lost.
2. Make the pieces stop jumping around and changing placement AFTER I place it where it should be.
Fix those issues and BlockinColor is a total winner. Without those fixes - it is mediocre. Come on developers — everyone is listing these same things as issues. Either fix them or respond and tell us that Nope it’s going to remain the same because you are happy with mediocrity.

I’d absolutely love to be engrossed by BlockinColor. It has all the pieces to be a top app, but there are a couple things that make it ridiculously annoying. If you play more than ten levels or so, it appears to get really bogged down (I’m not sure if it’s caching issues or garbage collection or ad integration, because everything breaks), and things slow down so much that it basically becomes unusable unless you shut everything down and reboot. It also doesn’t save your state mid-level, so if you’re in the middle of a hard level, and you have to reboot, you have to start all over.

There are ads literally after every level, and if you leave BlockinColor too long when you resume your level. They’re set for a five second skip which is nice, and if they fixed the above issues I’d happily pay to remove them, but given the instability issues I don’t see throwing money at this one until it shows a little more progress.

Don’t even mind the violently excessive ads because any real gamer knows airplane mode circumvents those. What really is pestering is the lack of multiple ‘modes’. I really don’t want to have to restart if I place a block incorrectly *THREE* times. Like… the colors on these puzzles are negligibly different. Let me place blocks incorrectly and have to *work* to find the right spot rather than making me START ALL OVER. Somehow the levels with a minute (pr. m-eye noot) time limit are easier because there is no penalty for placing them in the wrong location. ATTN DEVELOPERS: the challenge lies in finding the right spot for the blocks. NOT. Placing the blocks PERFECTLY on the first try.

Apps like Nonogram (amazing btw) offer multiple versions of gameplay for varying levels of difficulty. Be like them 👍🏻

This game is a lot of fun, but I've hit a major roadblock on level 713, which is already quite challenging. I've pushed through the initial part multiple times, only to be met with frustrating glitches and freezes. To make matters worse, when I close and reopen BlockinColor , I discover that essential pieces are mysteriously missing from all three stages of that level. It's disheartening, especially because I've completed all the calendar levels from June to October. This issue is making me genuinely sad and frustrated because it's preventing me from moving past level 713, and I was really looking forward to it.

Who’s idea was it to add only three lives before you have to restart a level. I play this game very laid back and enjoy trial and error when it comes to solving the puzzles, but now if you guess wrong three times you either have to watch an ad for a second chance or restart the entire puzzle. I paid for no ads so having to watch ads to continue defeats the point. Also now the level design has completely changed and it drops so many pieces for multiple puzzles and you have to dig thru to find the few you’re looking for. Please take it back to the way it was before, or at least place an option to decide whether you wanna play with 3 strikes or not.

I love this game but…There are definite issues with this game. More than one puzzle piece fits in a lot of places in the puzzles. Even though you put a piece somewhere that it perfectly matches it’s often times wrong. After 3 wrong placements (that fit perfectly) you have to watch an ad every time you need another chance to play. It feels like I spend as much time watching ads as I spend actually playing. It’s quite frustrating! There are times that I have to close the game out because I’m sick of watching ads and come back a few hours later and try again. If I didn’t like the game (when I’m actually playing and not watching ads) I would’ve already deleted it. That’s why I gave it 3 stars. The concept is great but the issues lower it to a 3 for me.

I have been on BlockinColor for so much and I love playing it, I don’t need wifi for it and it’s so addicting! The only thing that has been stopping me playing it recently is that fact that my music playing in the background gets cut off randomly during gameplay. This is a very small thing but it affects me a lot because I love listening to music while doing the puzzles, so it’s just frustrating having to unpause my music every 30 seconds because BlockinColor stops my music for some reason Even when I go to the settings and turn off the gameplay sounds, it still shuts off my music. This wasn’t a problem in the past, I’ve noticed it only started happening about 2/3 months ago. Hope this gets fixed because I love this game!!

When the game first started, the game was so relaxed. And you don’t have to worry about any precautions. Now that they added a survivor aspect the game became less enjoyable. There is now a sense of making sure the piece is the right one and the added stress and anxiety of getting it wrong. And when you get three strikes you either have to watch an ad or restart. Just bring back the calm puzzle atmosphere where there were no strikes. Just finding the right piece for the puzzle.
I get that some people like that but it doesn’t seem right to just switch your game play style after an update or two.

I was in love with this game until yesterday. It was a relaxing game with few ads. You would do a puzzle then watch an ad when you finished or if you ran out of tries. I am on level 537 and it’s always been like that.

Yesterday, I started getting ads after placing a couple of pieces, having to now watch 4-5 ads per puzzle. It is so overwhelmed with ads now that I don’t want to play as often as I was.

If the developers go back to the way ads were for the 536 levels I did before, the game would be more enjoyable. Please go back to ads at the end of puzzles and as an extra try perk!!! I only gave 4 stars because of the increase in ads. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

I really like this game, and I really love the puzzles… However, now I am almost to level 400, and they’re all the same! And I would probably deal with it better if all of the pieces for the first puzzle (on hard levels) weren’t all on the bottom, or if there was a SHUFFLE effect to toss them around..
There should be a place to put the pieces off to the side, or you should be able to toggle between the puzzles… I hope I can remember what this game is called and check back later to see if they’ve modified it and made changes, and there is no customer service to contact on that…
So I will be deleting the game, I’ve done all the puzzles so many times
It was great while it lasted… It really is a great game

I really love this game and play it often, my only issues with it is often when I get an ad in the middle of a level it will make my screen go black and never play the ad or allow me exit out. I have to restart BlockinColor and restart progress I had made so I have start over which is frustrating when you’re almost done with a hard level. I also find the tub that holds the blocks to be too small when doing hard levels it’s very difficult to find the pieces in the mix. Maybe adding 3 small tubs at the bottom of the level for separating the blocks would be a good addition.

I’ve been playing this game for awhile now. And there used to only be ads at the end of the level you completed. Now it’s in the middle of the game …it happens numerous times and it throws me off of where I left off. This is a major bummer. Also I’ve noticed the sound effects stop working 30 seconds into the game. This has never happened before until recently. I love hearing the sounds effects when making the correct piece into the puzzle. I hope this bug will be fixed, and will be fixed soon. And it’s not my phone. I just received a new phone last week and the sound is going out on this phone as well. Also hoping they remove the ads in the middle of the game!

So I’d given a previous review and only given it two stars because of the incredible amount of ads. I broke down and bought it because I enjoy it so much. Great game. Nice and relaxing, no pressure. I see people complain because all the pieces are stacked on top of each other. I find that part of the challenge. It would be too easy otherwise. My one huge complaint that keeps me from giving it five stars, if you start a puzzle, say one of the larger ones that take awhile, it doesn’t save your progress. I find that quite disappointing. Otherwise great game.

I have been playing this game for a couple of days and overall, it’s a pretty decent game. It’s satisfying and just fun to play, but there are a few problems I have with it. First of all, I don’t like how I have to play the puzzle of the day before I can play the main part of the game. I’m not quite sure if I just don’t know how to go to the main game, or if you act any play it until you do the daily one. My second problem is that some of the pieces can go in more than one spot. Sometimes I’ll just be playing the game like usual and I’ll put one of the pieces in a spot where all of the colors match up, but it’s the wrong spot, which can get really annoying, especially on the bigger puzzles. I understand that it can be hard to have every piece be unique, but at least try to limit the amount this happens or make it not take away a life when it happens. Even with these problems, the game is still good, but it would be so much better if these could get fixed.

This game is very fun, and it doesn’t have too many ads. Although it has some major problems, like first of all their is far too many hard levels, like I mean they’re not too bad but their is just a lot of them. Second of all like there will sometimes be blocks that could fit in multiple places, and that would be fine but I can’t find a way that it tells you if it’s in the wrong spot, and so I end up getting an X.
Overall though, this is a fun game that I will continue to play.

I downloaded this game a couple months ago, and thought it was very fun. There were minimal ads and it was relaxing. I also love the sound effect when the piece goes into the correct spot. But about a month ago, the millions of ads started. I now only get about 2 minutes of playtime before I get an ad. A thing will pop up that says “ad break”. I absolutely hate it. Sometimes I feel that the concept of the game is to watch ads. If this “ad break” thing never existed I would have rated the game a full 5 stars.

This game is my favorite and I’m definitely addicted. I have ADHD and this is the only game I’ve played for months and still never got bored of. It has a reasonable amount of ads and wonderful game play. My only change I would make it in some of the levels there are multiple of the same piece and you get an X if it’s not the right one. It is impossible to tell which is the right one so I get an X 90% of the time which sometimes causes me to lose. But other than that it’s an amazing game!

I’m on level 443 and am in love with this game. The ads really aren’t that bad compared to a lot of other games. I like when there are lots of pieces because it is a challenge. I’ve read reviews that say there is a glitch on a certain level and I haven’t had that issue yet while being at a higher level then any other review I can find. Overall amazing game that I play all the time

I enjoy this game a lot, but a couple of things drive me crazy. Like that you can’t save a puzzle you’re working on. If you can’t finish in one sitting, it’s just gone. Some of them are really big! Also, I don’t like that you lose a life if you put a piece down on the exact colors, but it’s not where they want it to go. They should say “try again” or something, but not make you lose a life. Otherwise, it’s a fun, relaxing puzzle game.

So this is fun just if you aren’t that smart and puzzle games with game then it will take you a minute to do it because I spent a long time on level two because I wasn’t the smartest to finger it out and I was also playing other games and then today I decided that I would try it again and for those people out there that want to play you need to be smart and as you play you will get smarter and I know you can do it for people who want to play I know you can do it I believe in…YOU!
