THM News Reviews

THMNews itself has a significant issue. You can read the first few articles in it, but eventually, subsequent articles won’t load the embedded sources, like embedded tweets. You have to continually shut down THMNews and restart it to seen the embedded content.

I’m a VIP Gold member and THMNews yis unusable. If you go to each TH group (Twitchy, TH, RedState, etc.) you allegedly should only need to log in once to each site within THMNews , and not need to log in again. I was going to one of them, Townhall I believe, and each time I left the Townhall section, went to another section, then back to Townhall, I had to log in *again*. This happened six darn times and I gave up and deleted THMNews . I don’t have this problem with the web interfaces. I log in once and as long as I don’t log out or close my web browser, I stay logged in. Someone really messed this up. It’s not worth the aggravation. Avoid it.

Crashes when you open an article. When it does open, half the information is missing. Liked the old twitchy much better.

They use video ads that just play and play constantly. I deleted. I will get my news somewhere else.

This is a horrible app. Literally unreadable.

Don’t download! Scam ! Nothing but adds!!!

Downloaded THMNews and every time I opened it it wanted me to upgrade and when I didn't, it shut me down and I had to reopen my account with name and password--never could read any news stories.

I don’t like the combined sites in one app. I find it hard to decide which stories I want to follow. It’s also more difficult to locate my favorite columnists. Finally, I will not use THMNews on my iPad because I want to have the ability to view stories in landscape mode.

THMNews does not display news articles or real journalistic pieces. THMNews displays X reactions to leftist personalities with commentary. It’s the lowest form of entertainment, pure click bait.

I am sick to death of every app having ads. I get it. Everyone wants to make money. I am even okay with specific VIP content. But ads on a news app. I like Twitchy, Red State, and many of the content. But sheesh. I have to watch a video to read an article, then while reading the article another ad pops up. Y’all have become a spam factory.

I was going to signup for a vip however with all sites going this way, I spend 10x the amount of money. We need good conservative content, but you need to find a better way to “keep it free”. Plus, THMNews is very buggy. I am reading an article and the text and pictures disappear.

Very disappointed.

I got it but deleted it after a few days. Unlike other news apps, annoying video ads pop up constantly. Other news apps have ads but not videos.

Tooooo many ads — jut ruins the experience.

Can i really only use this in portrait mode? Boo. Pleas fix this. Until then I’ll keep using my VIP subscription on your regular websites.

Mmm All I get are reams of blank “articles” no words miles of nothingness with a few sentences

It’s bad. So many ads, repeated, that you can’t get to the end of the story. No way to change viewing orientation.
I read Twitchy every day, several times a day. Now it’s unreadable.
Garbage.

Auto playing video ads with the volume turned on make THMNews unusable. I understand that they have to have ads, but other news apps do this so much better. You can never open THMNews in a public place bc you don’t know when the loud ads will start playing.

I downloaded this to replace the DrudgeReport once I found out they were sold to a liberal on condition of secrecy for fraudulent reasons to try to trick me. But I’d almost rather keep DrudgeReport. At least the ads there don’t popup and interrupt me. They make me wait to close the ads. This is unreasonable and not feasible so I’ll try something else. They can still make money by putting the ads with the articles, not as popups where I have to wait to close them.

Ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads. Open THMNews , full page ad. Open an article? Video ad. Close that? Ad. Go back to the home screen of THMNews ? Ad. I get it, you have to make money. But this is a bit ridiculous.

I love townhall, but despise THMNews. It is difficult to navigate and the popup ads are loud, obnoxious, and difficult to get around. Oftentimes they just reappear as soon as they are closed. I am going to rely on the website going forward - I deleted this garbage.

The pop-up ads are uncontrollable which is especially annoying late at night when you do not want loud noises coming from your phone.

I hate THMNews. I read RedState for years and THMNews hijacks you with stupid ads. I will just stick to Breitbart. You ruined a good app!

Generally good content but the ads take over app and force you to try to figure out how to get past them. Ad experience appears to be getting worse with each use - time to give up - I just don’t have the time to waste listening to so many ads.

Locks up at times, sometimes the scrolling in an article doesn’t work, adds will lock up at times, have to hit the close button on adds multiple times. Please fix this! You are skating on a thin line of your articles being worth the headache!

The only thing that stops me from subscribing to THM News is how the articles begin to have huge gaps in the text, especially if they’re video or Twitter embeds after reading two articles. I have found that if I quit out of THMNews and restart it the links and embeds are restored, at least until I read a couple of more articles. I don’t mind dealing with advertisements but I had thought that I would give THMNews a try. However, I’m not going to pay for something that drops off my iPhone screen after a few moments of use, so I won’t take the chance. For the time being I’m going to stick with paying for The Blaze. They don’t have the number of articles that THM has, but what they do have I can read all at once with no loss of info or need to restart.

App freezes and won’t work. Had to delete and replace too many times. Done with it.

I went ahead and got THMNews so I could continue reading through Twitchy. On impulse, I paid for the $40 special subscription. What a waste.

I still can’t see VIP articles and the few times I’ve tried to access Twitchy, ads take over my entire screen and I cannot close them. If you touch anything on the ad that hijacks your screen, it launches THMNews store or the advertiser. I have to close THMNews to clear it.

Don’t download, don’t buy, don’t support.

I can’t find a way to access the pages of individual columnists. While there are times I want to see all the content, I generally just want to catch up on what a few people have written.

What would be really helpful is to have my own personal feed where I could specifically mark what authors I want included.

I don’t see myself using THMNews if i have to scroll forever to find my favorite columnists.

Used to love the separate Townhall and Red State apps. Since they combined into THMNews it’s impossible to read a story without having to wait for an annoying popup ad. Will get my conservative news elsewhere.

I love THM and Twitchy in particular. This review is strictly about the functionality of THMNews . I am glad it now offers dark mode with the unified app but comments on articles are completely invisible in dark mode. That needs to be fixed. Also, with the latest update today, THMNews takes you all the way back to the top of the article when returning from the X/Twitter pop-out interface. This is frustrating & unwieldy, especially on longer articles. But I love the content!

It’s okay on the iPhone, but on the IPad it will not rotate to landscape mode which is a problem when you use a stand/keypad. When you rotate to portrait mode the sizing does not adjust to fit.

THM now resort to intrusive ads without the ability to close them. I was a VIP member of TH, doubt I will pay for THM.

Twitchy is my go to with coffee in am. It does not work properly in this new app. Stories don’t load or only partially load. I have updated it every time an update is available. Miss my twitchy laughs.

I love that all the sites are in one app. I especially love that PJ Media is now included in that app. But, I really miss landscape mode. Portrait is fine on my iPad, but on my phone landscape mode is much easier to read.

I really do like THMNews but it has its flaws. It sometimes gets stuck in a weird loop and will show only a couple of stories. It will then suddenly remember to scroll and be fine. VIP integration really needs work

Old twitchy app was great. The new app is not ready for prime time

Love the fact we can now find all articles from THM in one place. One suggestion: please add a search field to find articles on a subject more quickly.

Love THMNews , but a consistent problem has been at embedded content does not consistently appear. This morning I tried switching to light mode, rather than dark, and all the embedded content appeared. So maybe the problem is with your dark mode.

What would be ideal, instead of having to deal with your own dark mode, if you could make your app respect the Apple dark mode setting instead.

If that is not possible, then I think if you find a way to make the embedded content consistently appear in the dark mode, then THMNews would be almost perfect.

I like the setup and ease of navigation. Having everything in one app is perfect. However, when using twitchy as I scroll down often the tweets/Xs stop appearing. Only commentary can be seen. I have a new phone and good WiFi/5g.

Whenever I am looking for straight up news, I go to this site 1st!

The folks that write for these sites are terrific, and you get them all in one place!

I like that the application gathers all the THM sites together so you don’t need to use several different apps. Keep up the great work

This site is timely in its content. It is hard news. It’s my go to.

Too many ads but great content. A little buggy when loading X clips.

Townhall Media offers the best commentary on current news and events. I don’t trust any of the major outlets because they all have an agenda.

This is the best news app of all. You get breaking news and a variety of opinion pieces. Lots of humor, but also in depth serious news. Very accurate. It is my go to app for news. Love it!

Almost all of my favorite writers in one place? I’ve already downloaded THM News to all my devices.

I appreciate the factual news, it’s refreshing after so many years of the socialist dogma masquerading as news from the so called “main stream” media. Keep telling the truth!

THM News app is what the legacy Fox News app SHOULD have become but didn’t. Go ahead and offload all of your other news apps because this is the one stop source for all of the media sources that don’t spew vitriolic propaganda.

I’m still waiting for one of my tweets to be used in a Twitchy article! Don’t get me wrong, the whole app is awesome, but I mainly use it for my Twitchy subscription. Current, timely, well-curated and thought out, Twitchy should be any X user’s go-to news site.

This is a site with all the ponderous, ranting, deep thinking and humorous writers this side of Substack.

Slanting somewhat right, many of my faves are just here to call balls and strikes on the brilliant, the inept, the wonderful and the incompetent in our politics and society.

Keep up the good work, and I’m proud to call myself a Townhall VIP.

There are so many apps on my phone that I needed one with my top favorite conservative news apps. Hated having to switch back and forth before. This is perfect. To have Red State and PJ next to each other is perfect.

Have you noticed the constant spin and propaganda from the elite media pushing elite narratives? Here's the perfect antidote. Poking holes in the omissions and deceptions elite media uses to indoctrinate. Quick, refreshing takes removing the masks from the elites behind the media curtains.

I like Townhall and Redstate. It is very nice to have the content consolidated.
