This is definitely not an upgraded app. Can’t even use Apple Pay and it’s 2022. Not sure who made the decision but they definitely took you backwards in technology. I guess that’s why you need to charge a service fee. To pay to have Apple Pay again. Lol.. The service fee is really a joke. You’re literally the only app that charged clients to use it. Also you don’t build an app to pass along a “service fee” because it’s for the technology… you literally have a budget on improves and creating new features. Don’t try to scam clients by claiming it’s for the technology. You literally make profit on all your drink orders. Guess the next app update is going to say we now offer Apple Pay. Must be a fast follow on the road map.

Like so many others have said, yet another update and Apple Pay is mysteriously unavailable, and any other form of payment for that matter!!? So now using an app is not an option as I can’t pay for anything and get error messages over and over regardless of the form of payment. And my account was also DELETED…like why would I want to create a “new account” every time you decide to update your app? For those of us who used SummerMoon quite frequently, you are effectively losing business with each mind numbing, unnecessary “update”. Maybe start testing stuff out a bit more rigorously than “looks good, release it!”

This new ordering app loses some key functionality from the old app. I cannot use Apple pay to order (which means I have to setup a CC - not convenient when I am already on the road), there is no place to enter special order requests for each item (like adding honey to a latte), and SummerMoon doesn’t send a message with an ETA or that the order is actually ready. Come on Summer Moon! This is the first thing I have seen you guys get wrong!!

I use to order on app everyday due to being in a hurry to get to work. It was convenient and one of the reasons I chose this app instead of the other 3 coffee shops on the same street.
I wish the updated app had the same options as the older one.

If getting drop coffee, the older app had option for cold creamers or milk. With the option for it to be steamed.
With the new app, there is no option. I guess it depends on the barista, but sometimes I get steamed 1/2 and 1/2 (which I hate) and other times it’s cold.

If I get a latte, I prefer it less sweet. But the new app has no option for that.

It would be great to at least put the box back in app for requests so the customer can clarify that they want cold creamer or 1/2 sweet lattes.

When the location in Conroe opened it was great. Drinks made correctly, no long wait times for drinks.
Now….drink time is long. Order off SummerMoon and they don’t even realize they have drink orders waiting?? Associates not friendly, barely crack a smile. In addition you order a drink it’s not what you ordered? Ex. Sugar cookie latte you get a chestnut latte instead?
This review has been a long time coming as the service and product have gone down hill.
Starbucks has no issues making correct coffee.

Apple Pay which made checkout quick and easy is not an option. SummerMoon would rather you save your CC information in an account. There is also no follow-up to let you know when your order will be ready. There is a fee to use SummerMoon which at this point Summer Moon should be large enough to roll that into the total cost. You don’t see other coffee chains or retailers charging a “technology fee”.

I love the convenience of app ordering, but SummerMoon seems to be a bit buggy in the way that it loses my sign-in credentials a lot and my payment method doesn’t stay loaded it’s annoying to have to change the password so often, and input the credit card info. , but I still like being able to order ahead!

This is the 3rd redesign they have introduced. The first one was fine and used Apple Pay. The second version required a new account to be made and dropped the ability to use Apple Pay. It took months to get the Apple Pay feature reimplemented. Now there is a 3rd iteration. Once again we are quoted to make a new account, create a new password, and surprise … no Apple Pay. The second version worked flawlessly. I fail to see the point of changing an app and removing features, only for the potential of adding those feature back. This new version also clips the “rewards text” due to the curvature of the phone and bezel. The menu transitions are also rather poorly made in this version. I would say this is a downgrade from the previous version… however it is also impossible to use the previous version anymore.

Please give customers the ability to specify how much half and half, oat milk, etc to add to our coffee order. And please list all of the food for order on SummerMoon ! For example, donuts are never listed on SummerMoon , but they’re always in the store.

I go to summer moon all the time! It is my absolute favorite. Everyone is always so nice and my order is promptly made. The only thing I wish is that there was a reward system 🥲 I go at least once a week if not more so I would love to have rewards like the other coffee shops

Hello! I am really enjoying SummerMoon , the only recommendation I’d have is to add a Skim Milk option to the Ice Cafe Latte option as well as the Ice/Hot Chai Latte option. And for any drink you should reasonably be able to sub in Skim Milk. This would be a great help when you’re in a time crunch and want to order ahead and don’t have time to wait in the drive through to ask for skim milk in an iced latte. Thank you!!

Your app needs to add skim milk to your choices and the summer moon gift card. Some people do not have credit cards.

Updated 8/4/23. It would be nice to have a space for notes for your employees to see any additional concerns which there are issues from time to time. Thanks! And thanks for adding skim milk as stated in previous comment.

My bestie and I take turns every morning getting our Summer Moon!! We tried making our own but it just doesn’t compare!! Rachel and her team are always so polite. I’ll never go anywhere else!!!

SummerMoon is actively worse than its predecessor, so not sure what the thinking here was. We actively used the previous version of SummerMoon because it was quick and simple. Now they ask for payment info instead of using Apple Pay, payment info doesn’t actually cache (we’ve ordered before and said save method, but had to re-enter today), and they’ve doubled the service fee to a $1.

Love Summer Moon, but there are a lot of bugs to be worked out of the new app, it’s less user friendly, and fees are tempting me to look elsewhere for delicious drinks (hellooo Dutch Bros).

It’s good but could be better. The old ordering engine had a section for extras. I would list there to put 1 Splenda in the coffee. I now have to pick it up and add it myself while there. It would
Be nice to just grab and go and enjoy it to my liking.

My family and I love summer moon!!! So much so, that it’s the only local coffee shop we entrust with our business now. I frequent 2-3 times a week, and every single Saturday morning! Great service, quality coffee, and friendly environment! Go get your next coffee there today!!!

Love SummerMoon but one thing I would suggest is when making large orders with multiple people it can be confusing on who ordered what.

A simple fix would be to allow each order to have a name field that would clear up who ordered what in a simple way.

I came from Texas a few months ago and was so homesick today. Then I found out you guys opened a store in Fayetteville, AR!!! You literally made my day. Not even going to lie, I cried happy tears. Seriously I cried lol 🤦🏻‍♀️😂. Thank you for your amazing service as well as outstanding coffee. Still my favorite coffee place and always will be!!!!

I made the mistake of deleting the old app as soon as the new one was available - I'm now unable to pay with ApplePay and don't even have access to my go-to drink (Cinnamoon). One of the baristas suggested I order a different drink and then request Cinnamoon in the notes... however there is no option to leave any notes when ordering. App is definitely less user friendly and needs many updates.

When we’re in town, we love the San Marcos location, especially the young guy with long hair. His drinks are perfect every single time. Let me know when you want to bring a Summer Moon to Tucson, AZ, and I’ll run it for you. Summer Moon is absolutely the best coffee ever!!
