I have a few nitpicks with ShinyHunt , like wishing the clickable area was bigger like how the poketch app is. But other then that I’ve enjoyed the usage of my app for my extremely long hunt.
However, I’m not a fan of the new ads. I completely understand the need to support their website and app to keep it running, and my qualms aren’t with ShinyHunt having ads, its more of the style. Many are very implying and overall an eye-sore and distracting. I went to show my friends them and it took me 1 minute to get an uncomforting ad.
I just wish there was an option to either turn them off with a “dlc” or if maybe they could be er… sorted a bit better through a different provider potentially?
It’s honestly something that makes me want to swap apps and has been bothering me and making me regret updating.

I tried this out because the poketch app was outdated. I don’t like how it’s associated with a certain person (as a professor too…like, give me a break…) but I can overlook that. It didn’t have a way to turn off the timer which grossly put me off. I don’t time my hunts and it’s so strange that it’s an option in the previous app by the same developer. I immediately deactivated my account and uninstalled it from my phone. I did give it two stars because it was functional, just not as good as the previous iteration.

After downloading the newest update from the Apple App Store, I can’t get the login to work any longer. It won’t accept my password, no comment that it’s incorrect or anything. I tried resetting it just to make sure I wasn’t putting in the wrong thing, but the email field won’t accept any characters to be typed in it. I even tried to create a new account using a new email address, and no confirmation email was sent to my email.

Please fix ShinyHunt for iPad. U can not have more then one hunt going at once because only one will be on screen at a time. The others will be off the screen and you can’t scroll to see them. One would think they would stack on screen but no they just make a line off the screen for some reason. It works just fine on the phone but the area to tap is so small I prefer the iPad.

I have heard good things about ShinyHunt , but I can’t sign in. When I registered, I opened the email sent to confirm my account, but apparently the link was expired, so I sent another email, and wasn’t able to receive it. I tried signing in again, but apparently the email was in use now, but when I tried to sign in, the password didn’t work, I tried reseting the password, but that even won’t let me type in anything, all it will do is put the letter I typed in red, like it’s an error.

Pretty decent app, the odds listed for different methods are a bit wonky but since it hasn’t been that long since this was made I’ll give it a pass. One thing I really would want is for the timer to be able to work in the background, as I often do other things on my phone while shiny hunting. Gets the job done noting how many encounters and what Pokémon/game/method, but definitely needs a few more updates to fine tune it. Would also be pretty interesting if there was an online functionality feature where you could see other peoples hunt results or something depending on what games they did it on and such…oh and it’d also be neat to offer a double hunt feature at some point when you’re going for two at once, like rn with me hunting Entei or Raikou in my Pokémon SS.

I will preference again that ShinyHunt is fantastic. However, and I could be missing it, I don’t not see any way to enter a large collection of shines. I’ve been hunting shiny Pokémon since X&Y and have amassed a large collection over many years. In order for me to enter my entire collection I would need to input them one at a time which will take way too long. Most of the information input is cool, but over that long course of time I’ve forgotten where most of them came from. If this feature was made optional and not required to enter in a Pokémon then that would be the much better.

I am loving ShinyHunt, but I have some things that I personally would like added: 1. On the counters page, add an area with a dynamic display of shiny odds that changes based on some of the known algorithms that we know for the different methods 2. Let us add shiny Pokémon to our collection without forcing us to say what game or method the Pokémon was caught in
3. Let us sort our collected Pokémon by National Pokédex number

It’s an amazing app and easy to use, only issue I kinda have is the fact that it doesn’t full cover my screen so there’s just a black area on the top part of my phone and secondly I can’t choose the type of ball and gender because the keyboard pops up and I can’t scroll down or anything to tap on it so the keyboard is just kinda blocking but overall it’s a great app to keep track of my shiny Pokémon :)

Everything is pretty solid in ShinyHunt. Easy to navigate, makes everything Shiny related very easy. Only complaints I would have are missing Pokeball options (specifically the new PLA Pokeballs). Pokémon like Shellos don’t have the option for alternate version (West and East). Minor complaints but overall a great app you should get if you enjoy shiny hunting whatsoever.

ShinyHunt is great, love that in syncs between all my other devices now! I do have one suggestion though. Be able to have a hunt with no specific set Pokémon, or a range of them. I like using ShinyHunt for keeping count, but sometimes I end up finding a different shiny if I’m doing certain hunting methods and have to delete the hunt and make a new one and enter the encounters back in.
ShinyHunt would be perfect to me if that was an option :)

i’m glad the poketch app continues here and have enjoyed the updates/features however i find something wrong the new little “ad” bar towards the bottom. i have no issue it being there or the size of it even, however i find that sometimes when ShinyHunt is just open it suddenly jumps into my app store on ShinyHunt page it was just advertising. i wouldn’t even be touching it and i have noticed it happen 2 times already! i’m not comfortable with ads that suddenly take to app download pages.

There has been so many times where I would use a counter app or keep track of my hunts on paper. ShinyHunt is SOOOOO CONVENIENT M, like it’s crazy. It is SUPER easy to use! The Pokémon sprites honestly helps a lot and it’s just overall an amazing app. Thank you management and aDrive for this wonderful app. If you are seeing this review and you’re a shiny Hunter, DOWNLOAD ShinyHunt !!!! Just started using ShinyHunt and I can honestly say I am very motivated to shiny hunt! I have been playing pokémon for years and never really did a "shiny hunt", but with ShinyHunt I can. Definitely need a dark mode and a website where we can continue and take a break from using the phone (not a necessity, but would be nice😊) Great App thou!👍🏼

For years I have used Pokétch for my shiny hunting needs, however what better way to get a much needed upgrade than to partner with the King of Shiny Pokémon, ADrive! Other than the fresh new design, and the updates for the new games, the best feature on ShinyHunt is the “Shiny Dex” feature. With this I can now relive every single blood rushing moment with all of my shinies in one place! Great job!

I’m already loving ShinyHunt. To be honest, it offers way more than anything I expected. My one ask is if it will be updated to include shiny hunting for Pokémon Masters. It covers not only the main series games, but also Pokémon Quest, Pokémon GO, XD and Colosseum. I know shiny hunting has become a thing on Pokemon Masters, and since ShinyHunt covers everything else, I would love to see it updated to include Masters. Other than that, freaking awesome app. Literally no need for any other after downloading this one.

I just randomly searched up “shiny hunt” cuz I started shiny hunting dialga, and this popped up. I was using poketch at first but it didn’t have BDSP, so I switched even tho I just started using them. This is a VERY cool app, it shows all Pokémon as shinies and it has both a counter and a time to track how long you’ve been going at it. You can choose the game your hunting from, how you hunt it, you can pause the time so if you want to continue another time you can. This is a great app just from randomly searching “shiny hunt” lol. HUG thanks!!! Keep up the good work!!!

ShinyHunt is amazing and really helps me keep track of my shiny hunts. I think there should be a way to add shiny evolutions of Pokémon though.
Ex: if I hunted Caterpie, there should be a way for me to include metapod and butterfree without having to list them as a new hunt.
ALSO this is much less important but N should be a trainer to pick from in my opinion

A one stop shop for all things shiny Pokémon. Great for tracking all your shiny Pokémon in any game. Easy to use and get set up. Also having access to the website which syncs with your app is huge ! With adrive leading the way, ShinyHunt will only get better ! Highly recommend
